Thanks for another great vlog Gift and Joe. Bangkok traffic is a nightmare. Glad you got what you were looking for. We travelled back to Khon Kaen from Sam Roi Yod yesterday having had a wonderful time relaxing on the Gulf of Thailand coast. The journey home took us 11 hours with a couple of breaks, the slowest part being around the edge of Bangkok. I found it interesting that the road surfaces south of Bangkok are excellent, probably due to attracting tourists. However once you get past Bangkok heading North East, the roads deteriorate badly and even large lorries refuse to use the inside line despite the fact that it is they who have damaged the surface. You live in a delightful part of Thailand and we will certainly be back when time and money allows. God bless you both 😀❤🙏

You and Gift enjoy your European trip, you know Europe very well being you lived there but Gift is in for a good surprise trip there in Europe. I stayed at the Quarter 3 out of 4 times. Try the Bella Napoli Pizza down the street, excellent. Got that recommended from you 3 or 4 years ago. So enjoy your trip and stay safe.

Platinum mall also has the indoor shopping with air con and good prices. We don’t go to chatuchak anymore it’s crazy busy hot and the prices have gone way up. We prefer indoor shopping like platinum mall.

Joe there is two different companies super rich one has green sign one has orange sign , the one with the green sign is better. The super rich near platinum mall with green sign gives the best rates. Exchange places have different rates at each of there locations.
Fun fact: the owners are two brothers who fight over the business. One continues to run the “orange” business and the other started the “green”!

How harrowing is driving in Bangkok, Joe? Obviously you’re very experienced. Good call on Google map, crazy directions. What month are you doing Germany? That country is on my bucket list.
Actually it’s fairly easy to drive in Bangkok because traffic is very slow, but you must keep your eyes open especially for motorbikes.

MBK is ok...make sure you know the locations of the emergency exits, its a dense place...I still prefer JJ market because of the variety of local designs, MBK has a lot of knock offs from China, which I'm not too interested...Platinum, as someone suggested, is great for clothing, but too crowded...JJ Mall is better than MBK and open everyday, it has more variety of local products especially for gifts, but smaller place and air conditioned...take the MRT to kamphaeng phet station

I don’t understand why the exchange rate for the UK is 45.45b but the exchange for Scotland is 43b ???
Why is it different, Scotland isn’t independent YET and a Scottish note is minted under the UK and is worth exactly the same all over the UK as is an English note that’s crazy and discriminating 🤷♂️😅
