If only more foreigners came to Thailand to learn about and appreciate the culture (and pick up some ideas how to improve their own). Your video is so much more respectful to Thailand than the ones that just show you how to take advantage of such a lovely place and people. Well done, mate.
My wife's family lives in an area like this. Everything we go back to Thailand we stay with them for a few days. At first it was a shock, but the family and friends in the area are so strong it makes it very comfortable. Great video.
Stunning Video ADAM 👍 Thai people are so humble! Friendly and welcoming. In my opinion Bangkok is one of the Coolest cities in the whole world 🌎. 🙏🇹🇭❤️
This is one of my favorite videos so far this is true content and I really appreciate you taking the time to show the Kinder side of Bangkok the real people that are on the nut and grind
@@paulcockley-gf4bc USA is better ... you have more choices ... be a drug addicted in Kensington Ave, Philadelphia - living like a Skid Row in L.A. - be a homeless in San Francisco - or be an immigrant in New York ..... it's all good ..... !!!!!
You can choose 🤔 I doubt anyone chooses a life ridden with poverty or surviving on under 10 usd a day ... Bangkok is a large city and has its rough neighbourhoods just like any other large city in the world, but I can definitely say I feel more safe in some parts of Bangkok in comparison to European cities of similar size.. but again, *we are all entitled to our own opinions* 😊
@@nzimalaya2011 Some of them are actually rich but they refuse to move because there is their home place where they grew up. Government always wanted them to move even offer new house which is bigger. They says no because they want to stay in that community with friends and family. This is one of things I love about Thailand , Respect is one of the big factors there and it makes a difference in how they live and keep a great community .
7 or 9 or 10 back here in Oz .cmon guys you won’t get better content for a 30 minute show once a week. He knows lots about lots of OS stuff. Good job Addo.
Your video really brings into perspective how spoiled our lives are in the west, we want and want to go broke, but there they live on what is necessary and keep a good attitude.
It's not "the west" that are spoiled, it's the middle class and upper classes of every country on Earth. People in Thailand who are working as managers earning 6 figures a year don't bring attention to these communities either.
Hey man, I’ve watched heaps of your video and must congratulate you on this one. I love Thailand and apricots knowing more about these communities. I’ve been through similar communities but had no idea how they actually lived until you explained it. Keep up the beautiful posts man thanks 🙏🏽
Great stuff Adam. Showing an invisible ( to the Westerner) side of this amazing city. Nice work. I hate cities, but love Tokyo and could happily live in BKK. Such an amazing and positive place.
I spent sometime in Thailand in the 80's . As I recall, the minimum wage was approx 100 baht per day or 3,000 per month. I've watched lots of Thai youtube channels , perhaps hoping to re-live the experiences from that time. For some reason , today, the algorithims suggested this one and I must say it's the best I've seen. Congratulations - you've created a very interesting programme to watch Thank you!
I am absolutely amazed by the lack of theft among the local Thais, you can leave expensive stuff on a table and walk away for 10min, doesn’t matter how poor they are they typically do not steal. In Los Angeles it’s almost the opposite where everyone will steal from you rich or poor with the poor believing you owe them and the rich feeling they need it more than you. I do think Thais have something more and generally live happier with what they have than us in the west.
Love this kind of video Keis, i really enjoy seeing how other parts of Bangkok live and the different community's in the Massive City that we all love. Defiantly a great family community, and the way you show it is awesome. Stay Safe mate
what a wonderful video and very inspiring thank you for all of your videos but I especially loved this one... the children are so precious and so happy
Thanks for showing this part of Thailand. Hope people remember when they visit to show kindness as you never know what people are dealing with. I know Thai government isn't usually too friendly about videos that show too much of the "truth" but this was very well done.
I love this video man. Im so use to seeing the luxury lifestyle of Thailand. Its great to see the everyday people and their lifestyle. As a man who came from the "hood" in America this brings a smile on my face.
Great video, thanks Adam, just a very real look at another very interesting side to amazing Bangkok, and loved how you finished …..maybe it’s these communities that actually know something many of us in the Western world don’t …. less can often actually be more, it’s all about the people, love and friendships and how humble there lives are that are actually often richer in many more meaningful ways !
Excellent video, I always go and explore Bangkok when i'm there walking to different areas. I feel safer there than I do in Toronto, Canada. People that have not been just can't seem to get it....well done!!!
on my first trip to Bangkok, many ,many years ag, I thought of the phrase "city of contradictions" I would see place like this right next door to beautiful Temples or elaborate houses, But everyone was happy and their smiles were genuine. I was invited to join a group, who were cooking in an alleyway, to eat with them and their food was delicious and somehow we managed to communicate
Really enjoyed this episode, thanks. Been an expat for over 10 years, 3 countries, now travelling around SE Asia for the last year. This was a good episode for me. I'm going to be turning out some research soon on SE Asia and other economies. Love to see first hand encounters.

Hi Keis, EQ from Orlando, FL here. I agree with Flit, that this is absolutely one of your best videos and one of my fav's. If all my plans work out, I'll be in Thailand at the end of the year for some time and will reach out to see if we can meet.
Been in this type of places in Bangkok over 30 years ago in the early 90s 91 92 93 vedy humble experience. I could live like these thais if i had too millions upon millions of people live like this in south east Asia and they still manage to smile ❤God bless these people

This was a great watch, Adam. Can you imagine how it would be if you visited and walked though a deprived and poor community in the western world, you'd likely be intimidated, robbed and sworn at, but in such a community in Thailand, you are welcomed, the locals are genuinely interested in you and respect you.
Possible to share what's the wage range like ? My friend wife has a masters and she is only getting 20k baht per month working for the Thai government.

Great vid Keis. It always strikes me how happy and content the people living in these neighbourhoods are compared to how miserable a lot of westerners are in their big houses and fancy cars. Some of the neighbourhoods along the canals in Bangkok would be prime real estate in a lot of other city’s

Some of the nicest folks I have ever met were "poor" in central Missouri here in the states. Went to an auction there and then they had like a beer garden with dinner after. Real community, old trucks and cars and small houses but never felt more kindness and true compassion, but to someone from St. Louis living rich in material things they would think central Missouri was poor...
Mr. Keis, a young man should always understand what its like outside of your personal experiences at your home country. I like you show this. And certainly they have more. Great content!
What an amazing video. It shows that community and not money is so important. In Thailand, it does not seam to be that way and that makes living there so good.
This is a great video. You have shown in this video what I have known for a long time and that is that even lower incomes in Thailand are better off than lower income in most western countries. In my country it costs about 50% of my wages to afford a place to live. Realistically once you add up what a Thai makes vs what someone most of Canada basically Thais will have more money left after bills. You can't compare the value saying they only make $10 a day and think OMG that's nothing because that comment means nothing unless you realize what that $10 can get you. These people are living in a climate where they don't need heaters and can survive year round comfortably. There are so many people in Canada living in tents because they can't afford rent or maybe have some drug problems, not for me to judge. These people in your video look happy and healthy, I feel like they are winning.
