I have a 2007 s197 that I put 15 grand into just upgrades alone just to wake up to it on fire.. it was consolidated and I saved it. It was my first legal car and I have so much attachment to it that this is literally exactly what I’m trying to do. An LS swap can bring her back runnin better then these 4.6 3 valves out here. I had an 07 4.0 and now an 06 GT. Honestly, the 06 just feels like a little more power than my previous 07 v6. I want to swap my 4.6 with an LS now instead of a 5.0. Thanks for the video

Never had a coyote. Coyote would shit on an ls all day but not for the cost. Ls hands down best bang for the buck.

I don’t believe they sell them anymore or odd there out of stock I had check it a few times I’ll try again tho if they don’t jpc makes a crossover with a safety loop for a glide or th350/400 in our cars

There plenty of places to cut weight it just comes down to what u want to loose or could live without I wanted a street car have my dash door panel and center console that’s all I have in the car plus having radio and working heat

I will probably try to keep my GT500 TR6060 I have in mine though. Probably need to come up with a adaptor plate or something.
Yea coyote king imo but the price is ridiculous for that swap is easy 8-10k for the tr6060 they probably make a swap plate for it tho unless u can get a t56

They cost twice as much minimum to build sounds like a great investment. I have a fully built coyote 525 rwhp all motor and id much rather swap and ls in with a big dick cam. Last Ford ill ever buy as well. Interior is absolutely garbage and basic as fuck. If it weren't for the coyote sound I'd hate my car all the way.

There stock manifold flipped forward with v bands welded on them the hotside came off an Ls swapped foxbody

I have a s197 I'm in the process of ls swapping. Could you give me more information on the trans set up?
I went auto u can run a th350/400 or a powerglide or go a manual route I have a built th400 short tail sfi bell housing deep pan and reverse manual valve body with a trans bracket
What type of ls engine and manual trans can I put on my 08 v6 I’m thinking about doing this one day
Any Ls u want depends on your budget but when it comes to manual it gets expensive t56 is the way for most Ls setups tho

Yes it can easily be the nicer u make it the more streetable it can be like drive a normal mustang
450whel horse power is child's play with a carb style intake I've been talking weekly with Anthony Jones from AJE they offer ls swap kmember a arms to shed weight I'm waiting for him to finish up the power glide trans crossmember I have nitrous427cube lsx going in using aje k frame aje is also designing cross member to replace the s197 3 link suspension with a triangulated 4 link using fox body geometry I'm Ole cripple racer was racing on streets decades before this fake ass street outlaws TV show I refuse to be defeated by this I could sell my dart block 4ls and use for doown payment on 2012 gt but on 400hit of nitrous this lsx should run its low compression 11:1 combo I could procharge later if I planned on dedicated nitrous build it would be13.5:1 compression on race gas with my mild compression I could boost engine and hurt some feelings when my money allows guess part 2 is win enough money to get couple hair dryers I prefer th upward facing throttle body of carb intake adding fuel bentering plenum better than efi forward facing throttle body supplying fuel as air enters cylinder head this method allows for cooler intake charge heat isreduced as gasoline vaporizer if I do decide to boost car later
So what about driveshaft and Trans mount with the 4l60?
U need to make a custom trans mount for that trans and get a custom driveshaft made as-well

Use the stock Ls ones it came with and run that coolant/vent hose to the mustang coolant tank

@@Zaysnipes you're awesome. I just bought a 08 with a v6 I believe the motor is blown. If so I'm going to swap it with a 5.3. I have a couple I can use and th400. But I'm thinking 4l60e because I want it more streetable.
Just get your hammer out for the tunnel with the 4l trans
do u think a 4l80 or 4l60 would fit an s197?

U can make your own an lines and run adaptor fitting to the rack to keep power steering
What did u do with the drive shaft?
Custom made 3inch steel with th400 yoke from autozone and factory pinion flange with 1340 u joints

No prob it’s a pretty straight forward swap considering u can use ford mounts k member and crossmember after that wire it up and good to go

They may not make it anymore I’ve hear this before about that link but u can still get the jpc or Watson trans cross over it your going th350/400 or powerglide I highly (recommend) the jpc since it has a driveshaft safety loop included

Hi how much do you think a shop would charge to install everything in the car?
Depends on labor rates I’d have atleast 5k or more at least with how shops are today cheapest I’ve seen is 100$ and hr so that give u a good amount of shop time

Do I need holley terminator x max for th400 control, or just terminator x?
Just the x a th400 like a th350 or a powerglide are all basically manual transmission with the correct valves body’s and don’t need trans control

Built th400 the rear is the ford 8.8 with 4.10 gear
Are you able to keep ac?
U can keep everything ac power steering everything I only have heat but u can just have to route the exhaust to the back

This was just the video I was looking for. I have to check out your body mods video cause I’m looking at a crashed s197 with some light front end damage basically radiator support and passenger headlight perfect candidate for a tubular front end and ls swap
I would get the tubular front end kit and make it easy and lighter wish I did when I had an accident u can run the exhaust out the back and have no issue with line or anything and you can go manual transmission or really anything u went there a good amount of room just now a lot for let’s say a 4l80/4l60 but Watson racing I believe sell the t56 swap crossover for a manual setup

Let's see, 8-10k for a stock coyote swap or $4-5k for a ls swap and with the other $4-5k you'd spend for the coyote swap you could use for upgrades, turbo, or whatever and make way more power.

My 5.0 Coyote dropped a rod @85k miles ,, my old 5.3 Silverado has 225k on it - FJB & F Ford Motors
