Good setup. I've had 1 several years. I converted a used sea doo trailer. 30lb minnkota on the front. 2.5hp 4 stroke Tohatsu on the back. Costs more but better I think. Check out a foot control from Troll King. Converts your troll motor from hand to foot control. Caught my personal best because I was able to chase him around with the foot control. No, I'm not a sponsor. Ordered it on line. Really like them. Cost 150 bucks though.
Quick tip for your floor that I did to my Starcraft. Get some type of sealant like Thompson's & seal it. Then go to Harbor Freight and get some bedliner & cover the wood. The wood won't rot out for a VERY LONG time! Cool little boat!
Great video. You have a great setup on your boat. I am looking to purchase one here real soon and you have given me some excellent ideas on how to upgrade it. I will definitely do the foot pedal modification. Thanks a lot Best of luck this fishing season. Fish on.
The boat was great for low wind and cove/ponds. I would not recommend it as a lake boat or fishing in a breeze. I’ve since sold this Pelican to fund my current boat project. Good luck and have fun fishin, thanks Anthony
Sweet set-up, and we know it'll hold two fat boys easily. Glad the weather next week is looking better to get out and get more serious about tracking down some fish.
Nice video/mods. Can you please post the link to those comfortable seats supports? They are much sturdier than the stock seat supports. I would like to replace the hard grey seats in my Pelican Raider 10 foot. Thank you.
Great set up, hoping to get my boat up and on the water soon. It's not a Bass Raider but it's similar in size. Thanks for sharing, I may borrow some of your ideas.
Looks fantastic BOR. The drain plug is a great idea. Let us know how that works out. Also really like the foot power for the Trolling motor. Great job. Thanks for the Shout out on the rear rod holders. I have to show Highlife the modification you made to them for stability. That seems like a great idea. Thanks again for the channel mention. We appreciate it. Best of luck this fishing season. Fish on!
After two years I’m still fumbling through these videos. Took four attempts and still came out this messy. I meant to mention that all the rod holders were your inspiration. Thanks for watching.
Nice rig. I see you’re in Oklahoma as well. I’m building a similar boat. Coleman Crawdad. I like your foot pedal for the trolling motor and those marker lights. I’ll have to scoop some of those up.
I am a couple weeks from getting my Bass Raider, can't wait to do all the mods. Tried to use your Amazon link, but was not coming up for me. Nice video!
Lol, how about I try to explain how without any loss of life. The part is a thru hull connector: www.academy.com/shop/pdp/attwood®-3-4-thru-hull-connector?gclid=CjwKEAjw__fnBRCNpvH8iqy4xl4SJAC4XERPL610HZM4ZZA0sDikFFGiG4c00nlZ7SVlTNOpbSK4NBoCXB7w_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds I believe I used a paddle bit sized for the connector. I ran the hose connection side down. I used sealant on both parts that touch the boat. I cut off the excess connector. Hope this helps.
I am getting ready to get a bass raider, and have thoroughly enjoyed watching your videos, especially the ones about the trailer. I don't know that I will be that ambitious when I do my trailer, but you have definitely inspired me! Question, were you able to sort out how to make the engine run smoother? If so, what was the solution? I have been considering getting that same for mine. Also, where did you get the seats?
Hi Jack. I haven’t dealt with the vapor lock issue. I’ve heard it is an lean/rich screw under the lid. If I had it to do all over again, I would get an old 4-6 horse Evinrude or Mercury.
I did fine with me(190) and my brother(220) in the Pelican with our gear and motors. But, I’m not sure I would test the edges with 369. Your best bet is to test one before you buy.
Hey, I just noticed this was about the pelican bass raider. I had no issue with the weight. I can’t speak for how much you and your wife may load the boat. The boats are fairly stable side to side for what they are, but i would not overload them the same way you might a typical boat.
How shallow can it go? I know the weight limit is 600, have you ever tried going a little bit over ? One more question, if I sit that on a utility cart, would it be heavy to push around ?
Great video. I have a similar set up. I have a Buster boat with the 2.5hp mercury motor. I like the idea of a battery box. Where are you located and what lakes do you fish?
That foot pedal is worth its weight in gold when you are lure fishing. It was one of the most important features on the boat. It allowed me to only worry about steering. I highly recommend it.
Could you tell me how you did your drain plug install? I am wanting to install one on my Raider 10e and would like some advice. What brand or style drain plug did you use?
I’m having a hard time finding the type of plug that goes into the front of the boat, the one your trolling motor is plugged into. Any chance you still have a name and part number.

Billof Rights thanks for the quick response! I think I'll go the harbor freight trailer route since I've been on Craigslist and haven't found anything good
I drilled a drain on mine, and now it gets water into the hull ! U have the lift it up and drain it out the front drain! The boat is laminated so u must put silicone in between the two layers wen u drill hole!
It’s big and heavy. It just lays in the floor. My best guess is to secure down a Velcro strap that in the middle that would be under the chair when in fishing position.

It's just fishing, you just like to look good for your own reasons, it's just fishing and that doesn't take all of the crap that you added to this tiny little pond pusher.
Actually, there was nothing on that boat I didn’t use or consider useful. I wanted a ready to go as possible boat that could travel as much as possible.
Yes, I do want to see another video on the Pelican Bass Raider 10e :). Thanks for your videos! I just got one after watching about every video on them! I have my Garmin Striker III running on a Makita 18 volt tool battery (without a voltage step-down). Here is mine: th-cam.com/video/U_eLnbgAtdI/w-d-xo.html
Nice setup, really simple but everything's funtional. I just bought a Pelican Bass Raider and I can't wait to do a few simple modifications.

Is there a video where this bad boy is in the water would love to see how that outboard do

very nice... im trying to decide either buy one of these boats and mod it too... or buy a john boat with gas motor and trollin motor
WOW! You sir, have some great ideas !!
Sweet set-up, and we know it'll hold two fat boys easily. Glad the weather next week is looking better to get out and get more serious about tracking down some fish.
I’m ready to do some crappie fishing. This cold front is a bummer.
Nice video/mods. Can you please post the link to those comfortable seats supports? They are much sturdier than the stock seat supports. I would like to replace the hard grey seats in my Pelican Raider 10 foot. Thank you.
The scupper hole - it's up off the water so I'm pretty sure unless you have the thing half sunk nothing is coming in.
Great set up, hoping to get my boat up and on the water soon. It's not a Bass Raider but it's similar in size. Thanks for sharing, I may borrow some of your ideas.
My pleasure, thanks

I am a couple weeks from getting my Bass Raider, can't wait to do all the mods. Tried to use your Amazon link, but was not coming up for me. Nice video!
Hope you enjoy your Bass Raider. I was able to fix the link. Thanks for the heads up and thanks for watching the video.
Thanks MO, you’ve got some great videos on this boat👍🏼
I would kill to know how ya put the drain plug in!
Lol, how about I try to explain how without any loss of life.
The part is a thru hull connector:

What are the measurements for your plywood that you placed down on the bottom of your boat?
Sorry, it’s been years since I did that board. I sold that boat shortly after
Nice set up thank you for the tour
Thank you Robert
Nice setup. Thanks for sharing.
GOOD JOB. LOOKS GOOD.
Thanks very much Joe
very well done....love it
Thanks Scotty
Didn't show how you went through the two hull layers for the rear drain/scupper. Or what part was used, how it was sealed.
Used a paddle bit that would allow an Atwood 3/4 inch thru hull connector with a sealant on both the bottom and top parts
Nice setup
Thanks
at 6:38, while you're showing the 1/2" adapter for your anchor light, what is the larger PVC adapter that you have installed in the rear cup holder?
Hi Jack, that is my post mount for my GoPro camera. I mount a GoPro to a 3ft 3/4 pvc pipe and stick the pipe in that mount.
BOR Fishing
Ahh! Makes sense. Thank you!!
I found a 3 pin plug for the trolling motor but it comes with 10 gauge wire. Is that the plug that you are using?
I sold the pelican to finance another boat project. I’m not sure what it had.
Super! Nice boat! 👍
How does this compare to Pelican Intruder 12 Jon Boat
Never seen an intruder. 🤷♂️
Do you travel with the motors on the boat
Rear motor, yes, trolling in the floor under the seats.
How safe for a raised floor
I wouldn’t raise the floor
How well do they run in rivers?
Never had it on a River. It would have to be slow moving water.
Just bought my bass raider was wanting to know if you know the dimensions of your deck for the floor
Sorry I don’t Dustin. I sold it a couple years ago.
Do you leave your rods on the Pelican Bass Raider under the Velcro when going down the road?
I did when I owned it 👍🏼
Do you remember the seller's name where you bought the battery box? I cant find it on ebay.
I’ve tried to find it myself and haven’t had any luck. It must have been a lucky deal for me at the time.
I am getting ready to get a bass raider, and have thoroughly enjoyed watching your videos, especially the ones about the trailer. I don't know that I will be that ambitious when I do my trailer, but you have definitely inspired me! Question, were you able to sort out how to make the engine run smoother? Billof Rights
Thank you! And where did you get the upgraded seats?
Got them at Academy Sports
Billof Rights
Thank you sir
How did you fasten the velcro to the boat?
The Velcro was peel and stick. 2”, got it at Home Depot
What brand is that battery box?
I don’t remember. I also was not able to find it again. It was a lucky find. Thanks
Just picked up a Mercury 3.5 hp for my Bass Raider...Do you recommend a transom saver or motor support for trailering?
I never used one, but they are never a bad idea. This is BOR Fishing
Where did you get the trailer lights housing?

Thank u sir
Where did u mount your transducer
Mounted it on the trolling motor
how did the boat handle all the weight? i want one for me and wife, im a big guy 369 pounds
I did fine with me(190) and my brother(220) in the Pelican with our gear and motors. But, I’m not sure I would test the edges with 369. Your best bet is to test one before you buy.

What gauge wire does it come with?
Not sure. I’m guessing 8 maybe 6
Ok thx
Just a ruff guess how long a tank of gas will run?
At this point, I don’t have a clue. Thanks Jason
@@borfishing7690 ok well thanks
How shallow can it go? I know the weight limit is 600, have you ever tried going a little bit over ? One more question, if I sit that on a utility cart, would it be heavy to push around ?
I never had it in too shallow water. I have no idea how much it will handle. I did have myself, brother, motors, battery etc.
Where did you get the rollers for the trailer
Great video. I have a similar set up. I have a Buster boat with the 2.5hp mercury motor. I like the idea of a battery box. Where are you located and what lakes do you fish?
I live near TULSA. I fish Claremore, Oologah, Skiatook and other lakes on occasion. Thanks Gerald
When you put the plug in was there anything like styrofoam where you put the drain plug??? And how did it hold up???
I honestly don’t remember, but I never had a drop come into the boat. I sealed it from both sides.
Ok... I'm gonna look into it... but that's another great idea!!! Thanks again
How about that foot pedal... was it worth it???
And great editing... not that tech savvy lol... just use my phone
That foot pedal is worth its weight in gold when you are lure fishing. It was one of the most important features on the boat. It allowed me to only worry about steering. I highly recommend it.
where did you place your transducer for your fish finder?
Sorry I didn’t mention it in the video. I ran down the trolling motor.
what is the name of that adapter you got for the trolling motor from ebay
Here’s a link
m.ebay.com/itm/12-Volt-Trolling-Motor-Plug-Set-10-Gauge-Connector-Marine-Minn-Kota-Minnkota-RV-/201590971680
The bow receptacle in the Bass Raider accepts a "trolling motor" type plug and can be connected to whatever 12V device you need powered.
Could you tell me how you did your drain plug install? I am wanting to install one on my Raider 10e and would like some advice. What brand or style drain plug did you use?
Hi Brett, I got the plug at Academy sports. Just drill a hole the size of the threaded shaft. Thanks
I’m having a hard time finding the type of plug that goes into the front of the boat, the one your trolling motor is plugged into. Any chance you still have a name and part number.

Where did you find those Battery operated marker lights?...can you provide a link?
How do you get power to you fish finder?
I ran wiring under the carpeted board to the battery.
Billof Rights . But is there a adapter to it that goes on the battery or how did you hook it up to the battery is my question?
I spliced in speaker wire and added kremp on rings that fit the battery bolts.
OK thanks I appreciate the help. I have the same boat and trying to do some updates where did you get the chairs?
Got them at Academy Sports for 49.00 each.
Where could I find a trailer for this?
Before I bought a used trailer to fix up, I considered buying a 4x8 trailer at harbor freight. Or, you could try Craigslist.
Billof Rights thanks for the quick response! I think I'll go the harbor freight trailer route since I've been on Craigslist and haven't found anything good
When you get your rig together I’d love to see pictures. You can email them to Billof_Rights@yahoo.com. Good luck
How fast does it run with the 3.6 motor?
About 3mph
Great any chance you have the model number? You use marine sealant as well?
I don't have the model number. If you email me at BillofRights@yahoo.com I will send you a link of it from Acadamy's site. You can use bathroom caulk.
Nice viedo-I really like my pelican
Thanks Mel
I drilled a drain on mine, and now it gets water into the hull ! U have the lift it up and drain it out the front drain! The boat is laminated so u must put silicone in between the two layers wen u drill hole!
I put sealant on both parts of the drain connection. I had no issues. Good luck with yours.
But how did you secure the trolling motor when you were driving?
So far with gravity.
Billof Rights how and where at?
It’s big and heavy. It just lays in the floor. My best guess is to secure down a Velcro strap that in the middle that would be under the chair when in fishing position.
Billof Rights perfect! Thankyou so much!
Awesome
Thanks Trent
How did you install the drain?
You buy them pretty cheap at Academy Sports. Just drill a hole a little bigger than the drain stem, then thread the parts together. Thanks Alberto
What kind and size trailer is that?
Just a typical 4x8 trailer. I bought it used. Thanks Jarrett
How did you strap down the trolling motor when driving?
I haven’t strapped it down. I’m considering a non-intrusive way to do so. You’re welcome to advise of one. Thanks
What did it cost to have the seats covered?
Those seats were bought at Academy Sports for 49.00 each.
How do you like the lil outboard? Considering getting one
It has a hesitation that might be an air/fuel adjustment, but I’m not happy with it and do not recommend it.
Nice mods...that foot pedal is the cats meow..I'm getting one. Thanks for the tip
It is a must have. You can get it at Acadamy
Billof Rights don't have one around here..Probably Amazon
If you don’t mind, use my amazon link. Thanks
Here is a link from Academy

Billof Rights $14.99...wow..Amazon I'd like $30
Nice! Subbed!
Thanks
Great video man! How's the stability? Are you able to lean over the side to lip a fish without worry of capsizing?
Stability is good for its size. No problem with lipping a fish. You have to be reasonably cautious when moving front to back. I no longer have the Pelican. I sold it to fund the boat I’m currently restoring and modifying. Thanks for watching
Where can I get the video of the boat trailer I need a trailer for my angler 10 Field and stream I'm looking for ideas
Did you find the video?
Velcro holding the seat down while driving.... ok
Worked great👍🏼
How did you do your drain and what did you use
I bought this at Academy Sports, installed it, then cutoff the connector. Just make sure to use a sealant
www.academy.com/shop/pdp/attwood®-3-4-thru-hull-connector#repChildCatid=12590
No wonder you aren't happy with the motor - your channel is the 'billof rights' and all but you have a cheap chinesium motor.l
