Don’t make this MISTAKE with knee osteoarthritis

  • Are you doing this?! ⚠️
You go in to see someone for your knee and they just look at your knee. You exercise for knee arthritis and many people will focus ONLY on the knee.
But the whole body is connected…
In fact, according to the research from 2020, “The current review identified strong, high-quality evidence to recommend hip muscle strengthening in the conservative management of persons with knee OA” (PMID: 30407271)
Taking care of your hips is incredibly powerful when in search of knee arthritis relief ☝🏽
Does your exercise routine only include knee exercises?
At a very basic level, moving in different directions is a great way to introduce hip strengthening.
If you’re not sure what movements to include to take your hip strengthening up a notch- Adventurers for Life, my arthritis workout membership, is a great place for you to start. It includes follow along workouts that guide you to strengthen the right areas to support your joints with so much variety 💪🏽

@arthritisadventure. Your channel just showed up in my feed. I am glad. I found it! I would like to ask whether ankles & Plantar's fasciitis can impact the degree of knee pain? Those two areas were significantly impacting my ability to participate in my recent P.T. sessions. (I had so much pain in those two areas that I was disinclined to do my P.T. homework because I was nearly in tears from the level of pain. I didn't take pain killers and I took very little Ibuprofen ( I only took it for P.T. sessions but I was afraid to take it too often as I did not wish to negatively impact my liver/ kidneys). So now. I am home working on those lower two areas and in a few weeks. I will go back to knee exercises.
    Thank you for your channel!!

I had hip pain and right knee pain from having a third of my menicus removed 20 years ago. Lying down at night was horrible because of pain. I started doing backwards walking with 100 steps of running and some forward walking. Within 3 days my pains went away and I could sleep at night. Backwards walking on a track is incredible at strengthening areas you don't normally strengthen.

Try her channel if you have arthritis or just find yourself not getting enough physical activity. Knowledgeable and gives advice that is gauged well to differing degrees of current flexibility. Uses video examples of people who look like me? you? People living their lives and problems started. Some are heavier than is healthy, not fit, trying their best like we all are. She shows ways to get stronger and more fit in order to reduce pain and discomfort and set yourself up for less if the same in the future. That's what is worth following her for - she provides info tailored to the genuine needs of others, not to make herself look good on camera. You can see the people in her videos getting stronger and more confident in their movements.

I hear cracking sounds in my left knee area over many years, but it disappears sometimes. My left hip area hurts as well.
Could both be related to sleeping on my left side.

Honestly i watch your videos because I'm 66 and have had both knees get hurt in the last couple years, one buckled and dislocated, tore the meniscus, cracked the tibia, took 6 months to heal. 6 months later the other knee buckled, didn't dislocate but took a year for the pain to end. So I'm always watching video giving tips to strengthen hips, knees and ankles and your videos are some of the best. I say all that to say i hey not to comment on your thighs but i just have to say it, you have perfect looking thighs! I would be so stinking happy if my thighs liked that strong! Just a perfect amount, not too much, not to little. Just clearly strong and healthy😃
