There are many many excellent doctors and therapists in small towns and I doubt this presenter is petty enough to want people to be jealous of her knowledge.
Alyssa, I am so thankful I found your channel! I am 63 years old and have been diagnosed with severe osteoporosis. I also have arthritis. Your videos are such a huge help! Thank you!
The 11th & MOST essential tip: Watch Arthritis Adventure! Your videos not only educate me but also make me feel like I am not alone with this crazy pain - a lot of us struggle with this life-challenging condition, & watching you always makes me smile because your attitude is so fun & "can do!" Thank you!
I find that making my bed in the morning helps me stretch and move to help me get moving. I also do some gentle squats holding on to the bed post. Going for a 15-30 minute walk every day is also helping. I really appreciate your videos and suggestions!!!
Alyssa you are an angel. 5 years ago i suffered from chikangunia affecting most of the joints. Following your tips and exercises for 2 months i now have better mobility, less pain, more activity and yesterday my nephew complimented me on my walk that has improved from limping to balanced steps. All thanks to you dear.
I am glad I found this channel it's so calming to listen to you, and the time you take to explain the process of each exercise I am just loving it my God 🙏.
Since following your videos I am now walking 7 miles a day unaided. After my knee injury, I was told by doctors I wouldn't be able to walk unaided or run again. How do I get running?
Unlike this lovely professional❤, I am not a physical therapist. However; I think she would agree, ‘ running’ might not be a best goal!( hard on joints). Brisk walk!
That is awesome!! I was reading some articles on running with arthritis and it can be done but not hard core. I myself use to run and intend to get back to it but not the lengthy miles I use to do or the pace. More like jogging instead. Good luck and great job!
It’s not by accident I stumbled across your 3 minute videos on FB. I’ve been told my forearm and hip are affected with osteopenia. I look to build bone health , muscle in these areas. I believe with your exercises, I will do this.
Alyssa, you could do meditation tapes! Your voice is very calming. For those with neck issues, sometimes trying a wadded up towel, shirt, or any other soft item placed in the neck curve area at night helps. It can be hard finding the right pillow!
Morning doc saw ur notification on leg stiffness 4 years ago had both hips replaced I feel good after the hip replacement anyway nice to see u on u tube with all do respect u are so very nice and pretty thank you
Your most recent "short" video is very true for me -- cannot do side-lying clamshells without aggravating my hip pain. Instead, I can do seated clamshells with a band OR back-lying bridges with a band.
Sounds like you are going to the wrong doctors. Doctors never say that Infact excercise is what they prescribe and then people like you have an issue with that too!!
I have shared your videos with my orthopedist, several friends and family members. I had a torn meniscus 14 years ago and a torn ACL 2 months ago. The x-rays also show arthritis. Your videos have been a great help. I still struggle with consistency, but I'm working on it. THANKS!!!
Make sure your hips, knees AND ankles are supported also. I like to keep my spine straight so I like my pillow a little flatter but supports my neck too. Sutera pillows works for me.
Hi Dr Alyssa, I just found your channel as I just started to experience terrible knee pain in left kneei I never thoght of dealing with this nearly debilitating pain as an adventure! But I have always been kind of adventurous so i think, I will give your methods a try!? I so hope they work as i like to be fairly active with things like swimming and some workouts at the gym. Thanks Allysa. I'll let you know how it goes, Larry
Thanks for your ideas and advice. I have an additional headache and that is incontinence. I can't control myself then. Sometimes I have to keep quite because I don't want to disturb my husband sleeping next to me. Inspite of it I try to do some stretching to avoid that stiffness. Can you suggest anything for me? And aboveall my husband has to help me out of bed because I have fallen off my bed and he is nervous that it may happen again. Sorry a long message. I am thankful for your guidance. It helps me!
This video is so hopeful, I never taught that food will make such a change, I will start introducing all of them slowly.Thank you so much ❤ you are my favourite person!
Hello What to do in muscle tear ...i just had it slipped from bike.....is RICE treatment good ..should I apply ICE and elevate my leg ....affected area is near ankle
Most of the time I don't have joint pain when I wake up and I feel like a NORMAL PERSON. It feels like the brain and the body has not connect. But more than hour later I will feel the stiffness throughout the day .Only painkillers helps for the pain. I also find it difficult to sleep for days due to pain or I just can't fall asleep. Do I perhaps lack nutrients in my diet that prevents me from sleeping.
I am suffering from grade 4 osteoarthritis, that means imbalanced and waddle gait. Can exercises you teach, can help me NOT walk with a waddle? Or as doctors in India say knee replacement is my only Alternative?
Can you please do a video on glute exercises for beginners i had an acl tear a year ago and could not get surgery due to blood clots my quad is very strong and calf but i need to build strength back up in glute to help the muscle imbalance any pointers or exercises would be great!!
But what if like me.. I'm born with arthrogropsis multiplex congenita so I have limited range of movement in all my leg joints.. my feet have zero motion.. here because can't sleep feel pain my foot is locked and my knee .. I'm trying to move in my bed from side to side it helps a little.. should I put elastic bandage at night? I have had more and more morning pain after carrying a heavy bag. I do use a pillow/blanket between knees for support
I had a body pillow but got rid of it a couple years ago .. I never used it. What about sleeping on an angle in bed ( for acid reflux relief) . Is this bad for the back ?
My knees get cracking sound with pain when i bend.. starting stage of arthritis.. i dont know which exercises to start with .. can u pls share a video where to start and wat to start to strengthen my knees
I’m exactly the opposite. The only time I feel normal is the first couple of hrs after getting up, then I do my physiotherapy and walk, which leaves me super stiff and in pain the rest of the day. If anybody else has this issue with hip osteoarthritis, please comment.
Amazing advice. I found a trick... take your capsules of glucosamine/chondro at night, greatly helps with morn knee stiffness and also take right after eating a "I've been naughty..." meal. I take egg membrane first thing in a.m., then mid-morn Move Free/biotin. Liquid glucosamine when bad. as needed. Tylenol late afternoon as needed, when those peter out, don't work well.
I'm 57yrs old and I jump out of bed every morning with no pains what so ever, even after jogging the day before. Just stop the carbs and sugar and you'll reverse all of those problems over time. Carbs over many years calcifies the soft tissue and then it just gets worse after that. Takes time to reverse this but you will notice the difference after a few months.

Excess exercise for fingers pls.
My strategy, don’t get up from bed.
I have painful heel spurs ,any exercise recommendations please?
Not an exercise but I cut flip-flops to fit the heel of my sneakers and boots. They provide a good cushion to walk on.
I found out drinking coffee, gives me more pain,on my affected knee,I switched to tea without caffeine, reduced the pain and stiffness.
Glad you found what worked for you!
