Oh my goosh, love the arctic light sweater sooo much...have been thinking about it a lot,too and always wanted to purchase it.. guess I'll have to now 😂. Thank you for your comfort.. love knitting with you on sundays. The alteration on your scrappy sweater look soo nice btw.❤
If you could make a video outlining how you made that cover up, I would love that so much! I found similar things only constructed with a seam and since I cant crochet, but have knit a alot, some instructions on which stitch you used and how you roughly did it would I think be enough for me to be able to make it on my own. I looooove the simplicity, it looks so cool, elegant and unbothered all at the same time. Time to learn something new!
Hi, Isabella. It was so nice to see that you love knitting the arctic light sweater. Your yarn choice is perfect. Makes the cables really pop 🎉 And you pronounced my name very well. Regards Sari
Heeeeyyy...I would suggest you stripe those gorgeous leftovers...ooo, you just said no more stripes...but I was going to recommend the sailor swift top by Kutovikika. I was hoping to make one this summer, but struggle to make up my mind. I look forward to seeing what you decide to do with your yarn.
Here is me, forcing my way into the conversation. Your goodbye was awesome. You asked "me" if I was drinking enough water, and I realized that it was noon, and I had yet to drink any water today. I'm trying so hard to reverse my camel nature (seriously -- I drink no water for hours or days, and then I guzzle!), but I keep forgetting. So when you asked that question, I paused the video and filled my water bottle. Oh, and I also knit and have started crocheting--which, of course, is why I watch your podcast. So thank you for the all-around inspiration. 😄
I just finished the Midsommarkrans - sleeveless top by line tosti. Not a beginner pattern at all but I love the finished product. If you’re used to adjusting patterns then I think you should give it a shot. I also recommend making a smaller size for the back. I had to rip it back and start again as the back was massive.
Another banger - so glad to have found your channel (hi from Aotearoa New Zealand). Off topic but tell us more about the gorgeous geometric(?) landscape painting in the background of the rib lace raglan tee :)
I have lost some weight and am generally keeping it off. 😊 My husband notices the changes in my body. My measurements have decreased to the point at which I feel comfortable wearing shorts in public. Unfortunately, I eat potato chips with dip whenever I can. I've got to cut back. I haven't been to Harriet and Alice yet even though I live in Minneapolis. I am in a group that makes winter hats for charity and that store is one of the drop-off locations. My role in the group is to fix the hats which are too short to wear and use both my crochet and knit knowledge. Another good store to visit is Stephen Be. It is located right in the southside neighborhood in which I live. Please reach out when traveling here again. The temps have been cooler which is a blessing. We had a warm winter, so I expected it. The real surprise is all the rain. Everything is so verdant and lovely. I will try to find the pattern for a nice button-up summer top I made once of cotton worsted - Sugar and Cream of course. I'll get it to you somehow. Breathe deep, think peace.
On the Ingrid sweater; I just did cables instead of mock cables. If you look up cabling without a cable needle, it's very easy to learn to cross 2 stitches and it looks super clean.
Loved the video! I would highly recommend witre design for somme Drops Belle inspo, she has quite a lot of tanks where she recommends drops belle! I‘m currently making her fresco top out of Line and love it😊🧶
Frog on camera! 😂 Woo! Living on the edge. I can't find the exact video, but have been doing what the excellent tutor called "swoop and scoop" instead of ssk. Much nicer. Nimble Needles of course has a great vid with ssk alternatives. th-cam.com/video/qxGPuEYp5hE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=pp0Nt7vHkG--oPgU Omg, the wishlist person, what a gorgeous thing to do. ❤
I'm currently working on a knit tank that's free on Ravelry (Riviette by Rachel Brockman). I don't know how it'll turn out/fit yet, but I'm loving the process so far (it's my first with both cables and lace)!
I recently found your channel and so far, I love it! ❤ About what you said about a substitution for mohair, I'd give Holst Titicaca a try if you can get that in the US. It's a baby alpaca yarn in lace weight, I use it instead of mohair all the time 👌🥰
Hi. I was wondering what the sock pattern was you mentioned a couple videos ago. I was thinking about knitting my first pair of socks. I love your videos!
I am in the same part of the Arctic Lights sweater! I love the color yarn you have chosen!! I am using Scheepjes stonewashed yarn. Wish me luck it becomes a finished project and doesn't stay a wip. Haha.
I love your videos and your vibe, it's so relaxing and refreshing. You were a big reason I started knitting and you inspire me to improve in the craft, and that it's okay if a project isn't perfect in the first try. I've been knitting for about 2 months and I'm currently considering knitting my first sweater out of drops air in the color skyblue. However the pattern I've found involves a bit of cable-knit and I'm a bit worried it will felt quickly/easily. (Although not a summer knit imo, the pattern is dusk rose by drops design) I was wondering what your experience is with it in regards to the yarn felting and if you've ever tried to do any cable-knit with it (pilling I am not overly concerned about, given I can pill shave it whenever need be)
Great question! I’ve never done cables with that yarn but I plan to eventually. I’ve never had issues with felting but I also always hand wash my knits. 🧶 also, it’s so awesome that you’re thinking of making your first sweater! 🎉
Your vibe is so chill it's great. I too find my knitting is getting better - I just have a better sense of what fits me better, and construction I think. Your cardigan is epic - I think if I knit that it would take more than 10 months so way to go. All your makes are cute on you!
such a chill video, rly comfy and perfect to craft along to! for the blue denim yarn id love to suggest the Carabbean Sea bandana by Andrea Cretu. would rly go well wuth the colour and the cables would look quite nice for the texture it seems to be! kinda gushing over your channel rn, so comfy and absolutely adoring the vibes!
I think you would love the Camisole No. 5 by My Favorite Things Knitwear! The shape of it reminds me of the top you have on in the clip with the Campsite Waffle Cardigan. I'm currently knitting one and the only problem I have with it so far is that it's taking so freaking long! It's knit with fingering weight so it makes sense but I just want it to be done already lol
Hey Isabella! I love the fit of your rib lace raglan so much. I’m planning on making one this year and I was just wondering how much ease you had on yours. Thanks!
I’m working on a Remi camisole and enjoying it (make the straps waaay shorter than you think). It’s also a good one for a fast project because it’s on 4mm needles
Love your videos ❤️ also for your Petite Knit sweater, you could always knit the cross sections in stockinette and do the crosses with surface crochet! And any tank top patterns from Jessie Maed are great, I believe her Summer Secret Crop pattern is free if you want to look it over first 😊
If you ever give the Ingrid sweater another try, for the left cables on the criss cross section try slipping both of your stitches knit wise, like you would with a ssk, it makes them look a lot neater
OMG! I love how you create video the transitions, the color, the content, the way you speak, and your cat! Please keep making these videos I will make sure to watch it cuz I am a knitting lover. (Btw, I am an academician at the cinema so if anyone tells your videos screw you can send me and we could give some lessons on how they watch a video hahaha)
ABoC Studio on TH-cam has a video tutorial for a top down crocheted crop top that is super simple and can be customized to be longer and I think it would look amazing in the red yarn you have!
Would you consider the sibling sweater beginner friendly? I absolutely love the black and white one. I am trying to decide on my first non accessory, wearable knit.
I personally would say it’s beginner friendly, but everybody also has a different experience with what makes sense to them. For a true beginner who is nervous, I’d recommend a Kutovakika pattern. You can check out her TH-cam channel because she has very helpful tutorials for some of her patterns.
Ooof on the Petite Knit. I have heard from so many other knitters about her patterns both regarding her lack of size inclusivity and how difficult/messy her patterns are. For pattern recs: I really loved the Rumble Raglan by Lydia Morrow and I also just finished their Tumble Tee. Currently working on Nightshade Society which I LOVE. I really think you'd enjoy the cable detailing on the arms. Also working on Beltane by Dora Violet, but I think I need to frog back a bit. I cast on a smaller size to then add bust darts to it and now the shoulders are a bit tight. The eyelet details on the raglan are really nice though! Really love how chill you are in all of these videos and your cats coming in to be little bothers are so delightful!
Just finished the tonight top and I really love how it turned out but I don‘t know if that is your style. For a tank I am currently working on the Square neck camisole and like it a lot. Planning to make the toledo top next. (Or the rib lace raglan cause your Version looks so cute😅)
A couple months ago I left a comment under your Friends sweater video that I was finishing up my own Friends inspired cardigan. Well, it turns out that both attempts at a button band failed and the cardigan itself was just too small so I threw the whole thing into a corner and didn't look at it for a long time. Now I finally picked it up again! I came up with a plan to fix some issues and have also decided to not add buttons because the front panels are just too small to close the cardigan without making the button bands ridiculously wide - I'll just wear it open in the front. I finished three rows of the button band already, wish me luck it works out this time! 🤞
@@BreathingYarn Thanks! :D I'll report back when I've finally finished :) It's way too warm to wear it now here in Germany but maybe we'll get a colder period during summer still!
I'm working on the Ingrid right now in cotton (the men's one because I'm 6ft tall and have broad shoulders haha) and my crossover section looked bad too. I just said "you know what, I don't want to do this and I don't even like the crossovers anyways" so now those sections are in stockinette!
I’m doing the arctic light sweater as my first sweater and I am absolutely loving it !! The start of the sleeves was a little confusing for me to figure out but it’s been delightful. I cannot wait to wear it!
@@BreathingYarn yes 😂 I’ve knit so many cabled hats that I figured it couldn’t be much different! I’ve wonked a spot of cabling but other than that it’s way less scary than I was anticipating! It’s definitely not perfect but I don’t mind :)
I love the fit of your rib lace raglan. Would you mind sharing how much positive ease you added? I'm interested in making one and would love to get close to your fit.
The ending was ✨chefs kiss ✨. You should try to the the Lacey Williamson “Ribbed to your measure” tank or My Favorite Things tanks. Or the Mey camisole
Ohhhh, I do a tank for my neice ... Tip Top Tank by Emily Bolduan on Ravelry... free pattern and its a nice dreamy pattern to knit up. It's simple but I think it would look great on you! Always fun to hang out and talk with you, even if you don't hear me, hahhaa. And that little 50g Rowan, it's funny , as soon as you asked for ideas I said that would be a great bandana against your hair color!
My, this video is such a good vibes. I think I pressed like in the first minute or so. I think I have the biggest girl crush on you :) Now to a bit more subjected comments: 1. The stripy sweater is so cute! I thought I will die. In the world of beige mohair knits it just stole my heart. 2. Your kitties again are the cutest. The biscuits, how they settled. I think they were knitters in the past lives. 3. Red yarn yes! I have the same obsession. I am gravitating slightly into cooler cherry tone though (maybe it’s the photo-grading of the video though.) I plan to make myself something in the winter like a cardigan from that shade. 4. In regard to taking tops, I am starting Leela Top by Caidree on Ravelry. I saw that it looked very flattering on many bust sizes and it has almost this Greek tunic feel to it based on how it hands on the shoulders, which I love. I am however trying to stash-bust some fade of pink-orange-blue 100% cotton skein for it, so maybe it won’t give the same vibe in my case, but I’m very excited to knit it. One thing, I cannot rate the pattern really as I knitted from a pattern before this only once and it was for a crochet summer top (which I won’t really re commend). 5. I’m good! Thanks for asking. I am from Ukraine, but living in Europe rn, due to 💥🔫⚔️ you know. But I have been spending some time now in South of Spain, which is the most relaxed and peaceful place. Currently I’m in Alpujarras, a stunning mountain range. I have finished my first knitting project last week - a pair of socks. And already out and about for more knitting 🧶 6. The song in the end was so lovely too. Overall, it was such a great episode. What you do is very inspiring. Have a great summer knit season.💖
Wow! That’s all so fricken awesome (and also thank you)! I totally need to check out that pattern, it sounds amazing. Stay safe out there and take care of yourself, it’s a crazy world sometimes.
Love the vibes of your podcast. If you want to try a tank top, I recommend my Ribbed To Your Measure pattern! Its a top down OR bottom up ribbed tank. ❤
i definitely understand the "1 year" rule for knitting gift garments. it can be really hard for me to find the motivation to knit something that I can't try on to fit my own body as I go. For me, it's always more daunting to knit for other people, so giving myself a lot of time is helpful :)
I'm doing great, thanks for asking! I'm finally getting back into crocheting things. Right now I'm making something for the members of the band, a friend of mine is a part of, and their number one fan, whom I've had a great conversation with. The band members are getting crochet tulips (with leaves), and the fan is getting a yellow octupus with a top hat (I feel like that would match him). Also, I get it. It's generally easier to talk about yourself. I'm terrible at asking questions, and often have to think of a question that I myself don't intend on answering, but still is a good question for the person I'm talking to. So anyway, I'll probably be catching up on your last few videos within the next few days. Also, as always, thank you for this lovely video!
Oh my God 😂😂😂😂 we are literally knitting the same projects 😂 except for a few, my to do list of projects peeking from the basket is pretty much the same 😂 The Arctic light sweater is indeed a beautiful piece to knit on
I’m working on a ribbed tank top that’s a test knit for Jessie Maed Designs. It’s my first ever pattern test!!! I’m pumped. But she has some really pretty patterns that are available now!
I recently found 3 wips I had completely forgotten about from before our move last year. That puts me up to 7? lol About to have the "Do I frog or finish?" talk about a few of those myself.
That red chainette yarn is gorgeous!! I'm really excited to start a Snakes and Ladders Tank by Andrea Chang. I was going to go with a dark grey, but you may have inspired me to go for a brighter color choice... Thank you for your videos, you've become a staple accompaniment to my crafting time 😁😁
I love your content so much. Its not overstimulating, its relaxed, and I can watch it while I crochet. Thank you.
That’s literally the best compliment 🥰 thank you and good luck on your crochet! 🧶
LOVE how relaxed you are in front of the camera. It shows and I get to relaxed with you while ignoring my kids😂❤
LOL 😆 thank you! And I’m glad you can sneak some moments to yourself in.

cannot stress how much these help my WIPs knit up!!! love watching you :D
That’s so awesome, I know motivation to finish WIPS is often hard to come by so I’ll always take whatever motivation I can get

I’m working on 3 different tanks by Lily Kate France and am loving them! Check out her Tonight Top, Underlace Top, Take Turns, and Movement Tee/Top
I had never heard of this designer before and now I’m obsessed! I love all of those tanks and I can’t stop looking at the Cadigan sweater 🥰
Samoane should take some patterns from my hands cuz I overestimate my skills, and I just get frustrated
😂 that’s a mood
Perhaps the issue with the hot pink yarn is the yarn itself. Sometimes we just don't vibe with yarn no matter how much we want to.
That’s so fair! I think I’ll give it one more shot and donate it if it still isn’t working.
On the Ingrid sweater; I just did cables instead of mock cables. If you look up cabling without a cable needle, it's very easy to learn to cross 2 stitches and it looks super clean.
That's a great idea!

Those smaller gauges are a slog, but sooo worth it. I should totally add that cami to my pattern list!!
For the Ingrid sweater did you try knitting backwards instead of purling on the wrong side? It might really help with the tension!🧡🧡
I’ll have to try that!! Thanks 😊
Hey Isabella! I love the fit of your rib lace raglan so much. I’m planning on making one this year and I was just wondering how much ease you had on yours. Thanks!

Maybe do the love letter top by Kutovakika with the red yarn :)
It’s in my wishlist too, so i’d love to see creators on youtube make it
I’ve had my eye on the pattern, it’s so beautiful

Ohhhh, I do a tank for my neice ... Tip Top Tank by Emily Bolduan on Ravelry... free pattern and its a nice dreamy pattern to knit up. It's simple but I think it would look great on you! Always fun to hang out and talk with you, even if you don't hear me, hahhaa. And that little 50g Rowan, it's funny , as soon as you asked for ideas I said that would be a great bandana against your hair color!
I’m feeling way better about my headband idea and I just looked up the tip top tank and it’s so cute!!!
I love how you ended this video 😂
Yours so sweet 🥰 I struggle so much with intros and outros 😂
My, this video is such a good vibes. I think I pressed like in the first minute or so. I think I have the biggest girl crush on you :)
Now to a bit more subjected comments:
And already out and about for more knitting 🧶
Love the name 😂 and that tank is so cute! I’ll definitely have to knit that up
Camisole #4❤❤❤❤❤
I love My Favorite Tanks. Literally all of them are perfect 🥰
You inspired me to start knitting! I learned how to crochet first and am currently working on my first knit scarf ❤
You’re gonna make me cry 🥹
i definitely understand the "1 year" rule for knitting gift garments. it can be really hard for me to find the motivation to knit something that I can't try on to fit my own body as I go. For me, it's always more daunting to knit for other people, so giving myself a lot of time is helpful :)
I have seen a couple of "Love Note" tanks recently. Awesome pattern/look.
Enjoyed your video! I did get good sleep but got blisters on my fingers from knitting too much. 🧶
That’s all too relatable! Wishing you a swift recovery ❤️🩹
Walk, yes most days. Water, trying to be better. Sleep is hard… I need to try and figure out why. Thanks for a fun episode.
Thanks and thank you for sharing. That sounds all too relatable
I enjoy your videos so much! Love the vibe and your two little gorgeous voids! 😻
I feel like the Tolsta Tank pattern would be lovely
Bright red hardly harness??
Don’t temp me! That pattern is awesome and I would need a big gulp of courage to wear it 😂
@BreathingYarn I also love the little bonnet with horns that's modeled in one of the sample pictures can't remember the name of the pattern
Oh my God 😂😂😂😂 we are literally knitting the same projects 😂 except for a few, my to do list of projects peeking from the basket is pretty much the same 😂 The Arctic light sweater is indeed a beautiful piece to knit on
That’s hilarious. I love how the universe works sometimes!
I’m working on a ribbed tank top that’s a test knit for Jessie Maed Designs. It’s my first ever pattern test!!! I’m pumped. But she has some really pretty patterns that are available now!
That’s so exciting! I’ve loved her patterns for years, they’re stunning and unique. Totally my style
I recently found 3 wips I had completely forgotten about from before our move last year. That puts me up to 7? lol About to have the "Do I frog or finish?" talk about a few of those myself.
7? You got this!
Love that you're having a moment with red!! I'm working on a Maurizio sweater in the brightest red
That sweater will be STUNNING in red! ❤️🍓🥀🔴🍎🧶
I'm literally knitting a top based off the rib lace raglan with mirasol yarn based on your latest video so this is very funny coincidence
Omg I love that! Do you like the yarn?
I live in Minnesota! I've been to Harriet and Alice! That's so cool!
That’s awesome! Fellow Minnesotan. I’ll always be proud to have grown up in MN 🥰❄️🦟
The cat staring straight at the camera right at the beginning of the video made my day. 😂
She’s a paid actor 😂
You are hilarious! So fun!
Oh thank you! 😂
That red chainette yarn is gorgeous!! I'm really excited to start a Snakes and Ladders Tank by Andrea Chang. I was going to go with a dark grey, but you may have inspired me to go for a brighter color choice... Thank you for your videos, you've become a staple accompaniment to my crafting time 😁😁
The S&L tank is so fricken cute! And thank you so much omg, you’re so sweet 🥰
I agree with restarting and unraveling projects. I now have the confidence to make them better. If I can’t be proud to wear it, it won’t get worn. 🧶
That’s such a great mentality
