Oh, Arne ! 😂🤣You “walking the runway” in your PJs had me in stitches! Now I know I’m not the only person who gets caught unawares in my “comfy clothes”. There is nothing more ‘hygge’ than pyjama pants, LOL!
I REALLY love hearing about your travels and going to museums and art events!! I always love the knitting conversation, but oh what a treat to hear about your cruise, Knitting at the Top of the World. What an amazing time! Thank you for sharing your creative life with us!!
This was a wonderful episode! I just love hearing about your adventures and the history, too. This was a tour de force. And Arne in his pajamas and that clown (geez) were just too funny. Best from chilly Gloucester, MA where I sure could use one of those amazing sweaters! 😊❤
I adore maps too! I have a maritime map of the Detroit River between Detroit, Michigan and Canada, where I grew upIt belonged to my father, who had it mounted on foam core, and I have carried it from California to my new home in Reno, NV. So many wonderful memories every time I look at it. Today I am knitting Arne’s cozy brioche sweater while I share “15 “minutes with you. Also hoping for some cooler sweater weather soon as it’s still 91 degrees Fahrenheit here. How wonderful you met the knitters of the beautiful Farroe Islands sweaters! I love what you said about keeping the people you leave with you always. So true! Thank you for sharing your travel memories with all of us! Yippee…I have the red, why’re and green Norwegian wool…can’t wait for the knitalong!! And if I run out, I will run to a Jimmy Bean’s in a Reno for more-last place I saw you two, and you are with me always. There, I shed my tear too. A happy tear for the blessing.🙏
I love sitting back and relaxing listening to your chats and all your adventures. Living on the other side of the world, it's so interesting hearing about other countries so far away and what everyone is up to.
Hello guys you two are beautiful people, love your sit and knit, I don’t knit but I can appreciate the beauty of knitting and love then jumpers but I live in Sydney Australia never cold enough here . Thanks for recap of the trips so interesting. Believe it or not but I do Jigsaw puzzles while I watch you , i’m a full-time carer of my elderly parents and give me and sure other people so much joy in watching and laughs Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️ .
I actually let out an audible gasp when Arne showed the sweater with the polar bear faces (the same reaction I had to the tiger faces from about 2 years ago)!!! Arne operates in a completely different stratosphere than most of us...I adore both of you.
I think knitting on top of the world and all its stops sounds so wonderful. The one to Greenland sounds so good and the wonderful Faroe islands stop, maps. So so good.
I guess 79 books published. Todays sweaters are lovely. Im still so new to colorwork...I've found that when I miscount...I can check my knitting by following the row below! Wow that helps alot. Hope that you are enjoying your trip. The workshops sound wonderful. This is a wonderful recap of the Top of the World trip. Sounds like so much fun. You podcast in your pajamas....well we watch in our pajamas, so that's ok!
The polar bear sweater is stunning! The clown painting needs near it a cartoon cannon with flag coming out saying boom! Wonderful episode! Thank you!😊🎉❤
So much in this episode that I loved hearing about your trip, the fare isles have always fascinated me and I'm also scared of clowns, but still watched😅
❤ The highest praise that an artist/maker can receive is appreciation/support from another artist. Kudos to you both for supporting a community of artists and contributing to the preservation of a precious environment! What beautiful souvenirs. Arne! The polar bear sweater is stunning! Carlos, I could listen to you naming places in Norway all day long. It flows like honey! 😍 Maps and globes - I miss them. ❤ Thank you for telling us about your trip (and for the postcards along the way.)❤
This chat made me think of the early days of A & C. Loved it. Your trip sounds wonderful but was made more special by the Humpback visit at sea. So special. I also just love the dancing knit pattern used by the Faroese knitters. So lovely. Arné , your Clown is in a great spot. Love the idea of a KAL with A & C 🫶🏻 Carlos, Arnè is a born Creative. (As you know, this gift comes along with a sense of immediacy to move from-to the next exciting project and back again. It's inevitable that there will be a creative disarray once he works😅) Thanks for being you guys. Much love. ❤️ ❤
Thank you. I always enjoy eating my lunch watching your podcasts. They all make me smile. But the pyjama walk for the swatches had me in fits of giggles. I might have slightly over mixed my bread dough. Thanks for the fun. Sx
Hi Arne and Carlos, great video I love hearing about all your travels. I am with you Carlos, I do not like clowns. I love your Polar Bear sweater Arne.
So glad to hear about the upcoming holiday knit alongs. Thanks for the yarn color info, too. I loved the Christmas in July stocking which I finished already, a classic pattern.- Mary
Your jumpers are lovely and they suit you both very much. Your polar bear jumper is fantastic. You obviously enjoy Keeping up Appearances (the British television show, that is), as do I. ♥ 🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘
How exciting…the knit along! The tooth extraction will be fine Carlos…don’t worry at all… it’s a common thing for dentists so they are good at it. Too funny… the pyjama walk! Nice pyjamas though. Lovely studio.
Oh good, I already have some Norwegian wool in those colours. And I’m so impressed with your Faroese sweaters. Of course you should have bought them. They are very special.
Your sweaters were stunning! 😍 Carlos’ colors were so appealing in the earth tones and natural yarn. Since you both like to read, Ann Cleaves is the author of the “Shetland” series, but I liked the TV series as well. PJ gardeners and now Arne’s premier for SAKFAB! Silly boys 🤭
Oh , boy ! I noticed the clown first thing! Actually it looks quite cool within the context of its surroundings. Love it , Arne! Love the sweaters you guys are sporting and the story behind them . The price on the map is NOT TERRIBLE , Carlos! I was waiting to hear more than that ! I am knitting 🧶as I listen to you , basking in the pleasure of your company , which is WORLDS better than listening to CNN !!! Lol lol ! Your trips sound marvelous and I was intrigued to hear all , and I’m happy to see you safely back ! Love you guys ! ❤ Marilyn xx NJ USA
Bravo! Arne, your bear sweater is absolutely fabulous, as the others you have made. Lovely sweaters you have bought during your trip. Great idea to show us the map and your itinerary, and with the recount of your voyage, we travel through you. Thank you again.
Wow! You certainly had a fabulous interesting month September! Yes Venice is amazing the art is unbelievable so good to listen to you both I can visualise it all you both are amazing doing all these wonderful places to visit! Umm I might even start another pair of knitted socks you both are inspiration! Love it! 🥰
Your story about the song of the Sinclair tartan was fascinating! The interweaving of cultures is so interesting. And the polar bear sweater is stunning
Loved this episode as I sat and knitted The Shift…..not an Arne and Carlos pattern but I am motivated to finish, so I can start new Christmas balls!!! Love your Jammies Arne!!! ❤❤❤
That was such fun! Great to hear about your fabulous travels and see your new sweaters, and I was laughing my head off when Arne was sneaking around the couch in his pj’s. You are both so delightful! Can hardly wait for the next KAL to start. Sounds like it’ll be fun!
Very nice map and any time you bid for charity, all prices are reasonable :) Great trip and sweaters. Polar bear one is really pretty, nice job on that. Another knit along....YAY!!!! Just get 3 balls of each HA HA HA. Nice little trinket box to keep the yarn samples in. The bird stocking was very nice.
Thank you so much for starting my morning with the beautiful picture of Freja over on IG! I have loved following your adventures on top of the world! Thank you for sharing the amazing sights. Glad you are safely home and I'm looking forward to the KAL! Have a wonderful week! ❤❤🤗😘
Great to see you in Arne's colorful new studio (I don't mind the clown - he seems to be a joyful one). Sounds like you had an amazing cruise at the top of the world, with lots of new inspiration. Love both of the sweaters you're wearing; I wasn't surprised to hear they're from Faroe (#dream trip). And the new polar bear design for Rowan is both intricate and utterly adorable! Looking forward to another holiday knit along with you! I have both the bird stocking and new Christmas ball patterns downloaded and ready to go.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I joined you for the on top of the world knitting trip in 2023. It was nice to hear a recap of the things we did. Unfortunately, I was on the trip that missed Shetland because of the storm. I still want to visit Shetland. Hopefully, someday soon. Take care! Love you both!❤
Hmm, I never thought of myself as part of a “huge group of followers.” I do love Arne’s superimposition on the clown - and carefully travelling around and back from his seat. So charming!

Exciting stuff boys. I’ve knitted quite a lot of the July Christmas stocking already. I will continue working on in this month. I will get some more yarn ordered soon for your knit along. I hope to get birthday money today, however I need money for UK Blythe Con this Saturday.
Thank you both for a wonderful hour! 🙂 Carlos, I am also a slow knitter as you but I do finish at last! 🙂 I also love paper maps and always have them in my car though I do use Google driving directions, too.
The clown looks a little like Arne, although it's scary. Carlos I love the pattern on your new Faro Island sweater, so cozy. The Polar Bear sweater will be amazing when it's finished. I can't wait to see it all the way done! Boy did you do a lot of very interesting travel. Thanks for showing off your pajamas so we could see your yarn colors and the beautiful rosemaling box.
I love the. map! And it was a great geography lesson for me. Thank you for bidding! And, ah yes, we have a new dentist, too, after many years with the "old" and guess what? Like you, I have new treats (treatments) coming up. And the latest equipment. I guess that's a good thing?
Great to see you gents back! I did some traveling, too--to Poland to see my son marry his love! I enjoyed your post today--very cheering on a gloomy and rainy day. Thanks for sharing!
The sweaters you purchased are gorgeous and a wonderful reminder of your adventures! My 18 year old daughter, who definitely has earned a “Black Belt” in yarn and thrift shopping, taught me something very important yesterday--you need to renew your shopping black belt at least every year!! (She gave up a ticket to a big event in order to go shopping with my father who likes to support her back belt)
Me again! Very interesting about Faro island love the sweaters they are gorgeous! We used to get visitors from Faro island to North East Uk 🇬🇧 North Shields Royal quays every year but it stopped as well did ferry boats from Bergen ! How things change ! Xx 😘
Lovely sweaters! And that map is really interesting (I love maps). Thanks for the recap of your cruise. I definitely recommend the Shetland TV show - it’s SOOO good (just like Arne 😊).
You guys are so cute! I laughed out loud Arne walking in his pj pants!❤
Oh, Arne ! 😂🤣You “walking the runway” in your PJs had me in stitches! Now I know I’m not the only person who gets caught unawares in my “comfy clothes”. There is nothing more ‘hygge’ than pyjama pants, LOL!
