I feel the idea of this (these) car(s) is to be more unique and purposeful, so that is why I chose the CTR. If you are looking for a more comfortable ride (subjective), then you should also be looking at maybe a BMW or Audi. To me, the CTR is more purpose-built and special, so the suspension tuning was intentional and accurately done for this type of vehicle.

Civic SI to CTR is a similar jump.
      Lets see
You get wider body, bigger wheels, bigger tires, K20C engine, a clutch that doesn't need to be upgraded after a tune, better exhaust system, more aggressive body kit, stiffer body for the turns, aggresive suspension tuning, BBK, 1G skidpad, a big cut stopping distance, more passing power, etc, etc.
IDK you but you get a lot.
You can argue that you can do the same for less in the base integra, I highly doubt you can match the same level of performance in all the metrics for less than 15K and at the same time have a warranty to back you up.
If you want to play you have to pay.

They REMOVED memory seats, middle seat armrest/hidden cupholders, sunroof, and there're no vents despite this being marketed as a "luxury CTR". You get the copers saying "tHiS iS a TrAcK CaR bRo, iT DoEsn'T NeEd CrEaTuRe CoMfoRtS" despite the fact that such a car already exists in the CTR. If it was two door I doubt it would handle any better as it is already phenomenal, and then when you need to take friends they have a much nicer time of it. Plus the large hatch with folded seats give you room equal to a mid-sized SUV.

Yes with basically many of the same parts. That Japanese Honda Civic Type-R engine is actually made in Ohio, the good old USA. And what is wrong with supporting one of the most American Car Brands available?

The dash is civic, the race chair is leather (worse), body is civic, engine is the same, trans the same...you pay way more for fancy speakers (no extra sound proof?). Still no 4 wheel drive to hold down the power...so you basically just way over pay for sheet metal, bumpers, slippery seat, leather on door panel and speaker..style over substance on a worse 'sport car'. If you want day to day..buy civic si. Nothing technically improved....even too cheap to give you a new dash. I bet the door panels interchange with civics hatch.

Not sure how automotive enthusiasts have been sold that 4wheel drive is a kin to performance? 0-60 is not the end all and be all definition of a performance car. A good fwd and rwd setup is always a better drivers car. If weather is a concern you should have a second set of winter tires regardless of 4wd, fwd or rwd.

The race chair is vinyl. Even the ILX used real leather that was a definite cheap out.

@@wongchai807 a better car? you don’t even have to look outside of ACURA‘s lineup.
I mean, your question itself is subjective it’s gonna be what you’re particularly looking for in a car.
The TLX A-spec on almost all accounts is a much better car and it’s cheaper and just as fast and it’s more consistently fast being an automatic.
But again its what you’re looking for in a car

@@jamielannoo4250 love the tlx type s between the two I would get the integra. Both look great but I like the stick shift. Theres more in the aftermarket and its a type r with a suit on. The aspec awd is already 50k. I think most pll are just stuck on an integra thats 52k lol which I think is fair, wish it was 48k but I like it enough and I thinknits best in class by far and a much better option than any eropeans.

This is not an Integra. It is an overpriced garbage from a rebadged Honda. I am shocked Acura is still around as a brand. It is pretty much a high priced Honda and you are paying is a different badge. This is like a Honda Accord with a different design cues. At this price point with mediocre reliability, might as well enter the German brands like the Porsche.
Why would anyone buy this when you have so many other reliable options from Lexus.

Well… this is an Integra. This is the new and improved Integra adapted to today’s age. It’s also an enthusiast’s car like the Type R, GR Corolla, and Golf R.
I think your point is fair when comparing luxuries to Lexus. Differences include not having ventilated seats and memory seats, albeit, they’re on the A-Spec. Don’t necessarily agree with the exclusion of that. However, this comes with a high regarded manual transmission experience.
I think this fits in a good spot for those who want the luxury experience, and also the fierceness of the type R. At the end of the day, I am certainly not buying it at MSRP and will happily own this car after a few years of depreciation.
