Thanks for the great video, I will be trying to install Klipper first on my E3 pro + SKR mini e3 v3, and then will be jumping back to your instructions to finish up the setup with the microprobe. BTW this was the only video describing the setup in such great detail (or at least the only one that i was able to find). Will report back whether it was successful.
Cheers!
Glad I could help 😉
Great video! Best one I have seen on this topic so far. Thanks!
Thank you! That means a lot!
Very good video, i found it to be quite informative. I look forward to seeing more videos like this from you.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
Thanks for sharing your cfg files! I'm pretty new to Klipper community, and just digging into them is pretty useful in means of understanding what Klipper is able to do and how to configure it! (especially after a year spent on Marlin, without any changes to firmware itself)
Glad I could help! Klipper has a bit of a steep learning curve, but it's actually super easy once you get it 😅
great job, i need to try put klipper on my E3Pro😅
Go for it!🤗
Nice video, can you tell how did you mount the sensor? I mean my bracket can be regulated how do I know the right height to set it ?? Thanks
Set the prope to be roughly 1-2mm higher than the nozzle when retracted.
@@kanrogcreations thank you very much 🤗
thanks for uploading this. I've been using marlin forever.... i just got an skr e3v3 and the 2.0 microprobe. so i need anything else to switch everything over to klipper? part of me wants to just copy your whole config over and start from there. marlin just hasn't been playing nice lately.
You need something to run klipper 😉
@@kanrogcreations the skr board won’t suffice? I must’ve missed something in your setup
@@roccocroce installing klipper on a stock ender involves using a second computer, often a pi. I would recommend looking at a few videos on klipper before moving forward.
Maybe I missed something, but aren't you supposed to set the offset between when the Z probe clicks, and the nozzle itself? When I was doing the probe_calibrate I'm pretty sure the probe wasn't triggering (clicking) at all and I was just setting an offset for the z axis and not the probe itself?
That's what I'm doing on the first layer. I don't trust my measuring, the first layer is the best visual tool there is to set this value.
@@kanrogcreations oh, I see. ty for such a fast reply
@kanrogcreations I am currently having issues with any of the bed leveling functions while using the BIQU Microprobe V2. My issue is that when I compile everything with Marlin there is no issue and I can flash the settings to the skr mini e3 v3 board. However, when I go through the settings on my printer and select the bed leveling option, the printer still uses the nozzle as the probe rather than the BIQU probe (with its nozzle-to-probe offsets) resulting in a leveling failure. Can you provide any insight as to why this occurs when compiling is not an issue?
Seems like there is a configuration issue in marlin. Make sure the probe is enabled and the nozzle as probe is disabled. Head over to the Rolohaun discord and we can help you out 🤓
Hey very nice guide.. I am trying to follow. I have the original Ender 3 (Manta E3 EZ + CB1).. but when I put "Probe_Calibrate" I get an error "Probe Triggered prior to movement." Any suggestion?
You might have to invert or lift the pin. Either a "!" or a "^" in front of the pin name.
Seriously why does TH-cam delete my comments when I add a Reddit link….i posted the Marlin setup for the MicroProbe with the SKR Mini E3 V3 on Reddit a while back….super weird.
Great job on the video BTW!
i'd like to have this link if it's not too much trouble kind sir :)
@@Snekettek unfortunately I found out that you can't comment links on TH-cam, but if you go to the BigTreeTech subreddit and/or search for " Biqu Microprobe Marlin Setup " it should pull it up....hopefully it helps.
Dude I am looking at your comments on Reddit, I am not able to create the firmware for my ender 3 pro, I am not able to get the microprobe v3 to work.
If you could help me please.
Thanks in advance.
@@davidgarcia9400 yea for sure….where are you stuck at or what’s the problem you’ve run into?
@@Snekettek look up Biqu Microprobe Marlin Setup
Hello: I'm a little confused, you say you use Kliper, so Kliper is replacing Marlin....?
Yes. Klipper replaces marlin completely
Marlin today is shit
Do you have any tutorial to install it in Marlin and without Arduino?
No, sorry, I really only use klipper
Where do we find the Ender 3 bracket, the STL file of it, I cant seem to see it in the files.
The one I made is custom for my printhead that is also custom. BIQU sells a mount for the microprobe.
do you have a video showing how to make design for prob?
I do not, no. If you have CAD knowledge, its mostly about measuring and knowing where your contact-points are. Having the components in your cad makes it even easier. BTT/BIQU have CADs of the microprobe on their github.
I work in IronCAD, not a common CAD software.
am trying that im not sure how to read this blue print its 8.3 + - 0.2 so does that mean i need to go from point of nozle to prob 8.1 or 8.2? @@kanrogcreations
@@jamessmallwood7448 not sure what you mean here
Where can you find the stl file for the probe support?
thanks in advance
The printed probe mount I used here is very specific to my custom tool head that I made myself. The probe comes with a mount for a stock ender 3. There are a variety of printed options on both Printables and Thingiverse.
So, why arent you using screws_tilt_calculate?
It's mostly because I struggle with keeping track of the amount I twist the knobs, and prefer the simplicity of using a piece of paper.
Both methods work just fine.
Brother there is much less interest in ender 3 videos nowadays, you should get some other printer that is more popular, like bambulab a1 mini
Yep. Working on it 🤗 More content is coming.
@@kanrogcreations don't listen to him. I have 2 CR-10 (one is one of the first that came to Europe) and your video helped me a lot
I only have an Ender 3 v2. So I like the vids. I need to upgrade too ... one day!
This was an e3v2, so you can follow this guide if you decide on the upgrade 👍
If I had more printers, I would make content on them. This is the only ender3 video I have, so make sure you check out the rest of the channel 🥰
