The wall slides are hard to keep the arms tight to the wall, but it makes so much relive for a little after you're done. I think once rehab is over people need to do these on both arms every single day. to keep it healthy.

im 38. been a trucker and weight lifter for 20 years. had a nagging shoulder pain but didnt worry bout it. one day the pain was getting really bad with certain movements. espically reaching across my chest. i could barely touch my oppositie shoulder. xray revealed calfcic burisits. did cortisone shot and anti inflammitors. felt a little better but it came back quickly. pain at night was severe. whole arm would go dead and couldnt lift it. during the day it was tolerable. got a second cortisone shot in a slightly diffirent spot. no real benefit... physical therapy hasnt done much. i feel as if the issue gets aggravted every time im there. i lean sore and in more pain than when i got there.. just got approval for mri. i feel arthscopic surg is down the road. we will see. but i dont wanna put up with this any more its been about 8 months of hell

Maybe you need a new PT! There are PTs of every variety bad-excellent, and it makes a huge difference. Have you told them what they are doing is aggravating? Are you doing your exercises at home? PT will not work or will take forever if you do not do the HEP. PT is full of patients who had surgery and are now having recurring issues, surgery being a big regret. PT works but it takes time and you have to do your part, daily and multiple times a day.

They gave amazing little information about how to do the exercises.

I think they are being responsible therapists; it’s too difficult for a person in pain from recent or ancient injury to do the exercises correctly without advice and help from a physiotherapist.

These videos have been helpful. I'm about to pay a visit to my primary care doc to get this process started. Thanks.

I have had this pain for 2 years its so bad and the dr claims it's tendinitis and impingement. I have had 2 cortisone injections and 7 months of physical therapy and I have had 0 improvement. I am at a loss I've been out of work because of it for almost a year now. The MRI showed nothing 😭😭😭😭

i have pain on my right shoulder for 1year and 2months now, caused by dumbbell exercise. my doctor suspects a rotator cuff tear. but i'm not convinced since i can still lift my arms and even carry weights. strength is still there but not very strong because of the pain in certain movements. pain is tolerable. mri costs too much for me so i did x-ray. it says normal except for a tiny soft tissue density noted along the insertion of the supraspinatus, consider peritendinitis calcarea.

@howardthecpa that's temporary treatment for treating symptoms. like taking ibuprofen to deal with the pain. but it doesn't solve the root cause. depends on if you need the solve the problem or not (whether or not ur normal life activities could continue without need physical therapy or surgery)

can physical therapy repair partial tear without going in to surgery? what causes bone spur? this video shows therapy as a treatment on this case with bone spur. does an untreated rotator cuff tendon for 1 year mean bone spur has likely developed? if therapy fixes my pain and i'm able to move my arms in all directions, can i live with bone spur without developing pain in the future? i hope you can help me. thanks!

I did all the exercises , but the pain just got worst ! I cant raise or move my right hand , so I quit my job ! The best way to do to rest my arm and shoulder bone from striking to each other

So arthroscopic surgery cuts off part of the tendon, and then trims the part that has been damaged? Does that result in loss of function/strength?

Many countries have totally stopped doing subacromial decompression surgery. They say it doesn't have any effect, it only increases risks of complication. I've had one done and it worked for me as it decreased pain in that shoulder, the other shoulder is still a mess but no one wants to preform any type of surgery on it - again the reason is risk of increasing the problems.

I had a subacromial decompression just over five years ago, and it took two years to fully recover. But the post surgery pain (and regained movement) was still better than pre-surgery so it was worth it. In the last year or so, I’ve been lifting heavier weights than pre-surgery too. It’s been a long hard slog, but I am so very glad I had it done. Immediately after surgery, I was in agony, but I could tell that it was a different kind of pain and that he had fixed my impingement. Hope you manage to get your other shoulder sorted!

Your pendulum excersize is wrong. You should not be using the shoulder ball to rotate the arm. You should be using your body to rotate the arm.

NSAIDs destroy what they're prescribed to treat.
