One thing worth noting for those prioritizing reliability, was that the engine was changed from a port injected K20C2 to a direct injected K20C9 which is honestly kind of a let down. With that, it drops HP from 158 to 150 now as well :/

@@doggedlydetermined7022 It's pretty much an added maintenance item down the line, because moving from port to direct injection opens up the possibility of your intake valves having carbon deposits, which would require cleaning. It's a good looking car, but they could have given it a little bit more hp. Those stats are almost the same as my old 2002 toyota camry, and the camry made more torque too. Hondas are usually more sportier....

My friend bought a 2023 civic sport hatchback brand new awhile back. It’s just mediocre, but does everything well. Interior panels rattle at certain engine RPM’s and it’s just “okay”. Drives sporty which is appreciated. Overall, my 2012 Subaru Outback is a much nicer car and those aren’t known for being super quiet

I had a 2020 civic sport sedan with the k20c2 NA motor and the very rare manual transmission in that model.
The car may have lasted awhile with that setup, but even though paid off I got rid of it with 12k miles.

But everytime I look for a Mazda 3 mt or Honda civic mt they tell me oh we had a couple last week but the were IMMEDIATELY purchased. Tells me there is enough people who would buy if they were a little more available.

Great review thanks. BUT, i prefer the 2024 model. The 2025 front bumper is too protruded and i don't like the whale mouth front grill design that seems to be borrowed from the ugly HRV. Plus my 2024 EX has turn signals built into the mirrors. I think the 2024 model is by far the best Civic ever built.
