    Firstly Paul, so pleased your back and my first time to send a message, of all the fishing videos especially beach fishing 🎣 along the English Coast and especially Shoreham Beach & Brighton, You are the Les Dawson, comedy classic angler who spends more time on your excellent presentation, story lines, humour and technical set-up which hampers & hinders your catch percentage of fish compared to Handy Andy, who i can see is the stooge ( but fishes well while you have a million other setting up details for your fishing show ) the mates banter is an integral ingredient which again is stand alone material 👍🏾🎬🎥 this is portrayed beautifully from my many years of sea angling as a young teenager from 1970’s to present day now fishing the NSW & Queensland coastline Australia. Back to Shoreham Beach which where often you use your location fisherman’s Beach & Good Shepherd brings back so many memories whole school holidays fishing the whole area ( Fish’O - Billy Bantock’s videos ) excellent also and sadly no more from this guy but Paul, you have more to offer fishing wise as pure entertainment great laughter and fellow anglers randomly coming up like the guy from ESSEX and his day pass 😂💦 many viewers can relate the comradely, pally informal gatherings of likeminded fellows fishing and plenty of humour which you give bucket loads - I used to dig bait for guys like yourself for pocket money as a kid mainly blow-lug from Shoreham, Lancing & Worthing - Ferring beaches, ( also muddies & peeler crabs )obviously all passed on now but a terrific bunch of gentlemen driving from Kingston, suburbs of London etc who had at least a 2 hour drive fresh bait on a regularly basis was always a problem then ! But the humour & friendship from these fellas unbelievable which you have manage to capture !!!!!!! I call you the Les Dawson of fishing 🎣 obviously because of the many mother in law jokes and observations - Gee your patience 😳😳😳 I couldn’t be So patient !!!!!!! Seriously and the parasitic tick saga ( a bit of Victor Meldrew storyline ) Fabulous Paul, your show has so much to offer, well done 👍🏾 Stephen Thomas ( Fishing & Painting 🖼 )

    • @SeaFishingWithPaul
      @SeaFishingWithPaul  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Stephen great to hear from you and thank you for taking the time with the considerable comments and for making me and my wife chuckle re Les Dawson. Envious of the environment and the beaches that you have available to you over in Australia and I have several friends who emigrated there and have not looked back.
      Thank you for recognising the time it takes to plan and construct the shots and also the equipment needed and am sure this does have an impact on the focus needed to fish, bait up, cast etc.
      I plan each trip and have a script roughly drafted and take loads of footage and edit to produce something that I would like to watch and more of a video diary for me to look at when older.
      My subscriber base is steadily increasing which supports me in the belief that I am doing something to create a positive experience for others out there in the world and just love fishing. It really helps me mentally although last couple of months a bit bumpy.
      It is great to reminisce and remember anglers of old and my Uncle long departed who was in effect my dad as I had little involvement with my real parents was instrumental in getting me into fishing. He fished rivers for trout and beaches along the South coast and I have many happy memories of him chewing on his pipe and drinking whiskey and water from a flask. I miss him very very much and would be great to spend another day in his company. I was in the military and now in civvie street have fished all over the world but you cannot beat a southern beach in summer. I promised myself many years ago not to squander time as it passes so quickly and people I grew up with are slowly passing on which is very sobering.it takes massive planning, packing, effort driving etc to get to a beach and then there is the great British weather although this year really really hot and this has affected the type of fish that we are now catching. Gilt head bream are now starting to be caught in areas near to me and stingrays in numbers.
      Am not out this weekend mother in law minding as my daughter back from Dubai and my wife and her are away this weekend. So dog walking and beer 🍺
      Following weekend will be back out on the beach sharing company with like minded people and having a laugh which is as important as catching take care cheers Paul my email is greenfingersandtoes@gmail.com and be good to have a natter from time to time 👍

      Deal pier is very snaggy and sorry to hear only two fish. The last 5 sessions prior to the latest video no fish and fished different tides fresh bait etc. have fished for many years and been to many fishy looking venues telling myself definitely going to catch and then get nothing. I went to Chesil for a day and night session and nothing other than a pout whiting. Travelled to Devon for a week and fished three days nothing. It is a story that many anglers have been part o. Do not beat yourself up it’s fishing and can be ruddy frustrating but equally as rewarding on others. Feel for you and we’ll done to the nipper 👍👍👍🐠🐠

    It's something which has always baffled me, that you can fish with someone fishing over the same area, using identical rigs and baits, and yet one angler nearly always catches more than the other. Fish apparently like female human pheromones, I guess I'm not so in touch with my feminine side as I think I am. It is as Rod Hutchinson would have said, you can get everything right in the right place at the right time, the rest is a large spoonful of luck. I'm pretty certain Paul, if I fished with you, it would be me that blanked, or caught less. That's fishing, and it's a bastard at times 🙂

    • @SeaFishingWithPaul
      @SeaFishingWithPaul  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi and thanks for the words of support and does make me feel better that it’s not only me getting beaten by another angler on the beach. There is sense in the female pheromone theory as some of the biggest salmon caught have been by ladies.
      I have fished with Andy for many years both, freshwater and sea and generally always beats me. My excuse is I do not practice as much as him as he is always fishing every weekend Saturday and Sunday rain or shine and all year. His dad was the same and always beat me when fly fishing. That aside it’s always great the be out in nature having a crack at catching and sharing good company with a beer on way home.to dissect the day. I have beaten him a couple of times but rare to do so.
      It is generous of you to say that if against me would probably blank but think we would be well matched. Am not out this weekend as work etc.got in way but am out next weekend to no doubt be beaten again 😂 take care cheers Paul 👍👍🍺🍺🐠
