they changed the way we look at woman it used to be all about petite women now it's about BBW women they change the way we look at women big butt big breast small waist big lips
Finally someone said it - cheek filler can actually make you look older because it adds fullness to the cheeks, drawing the eye down, and creates deeper laugh lines. I don't understand how these young women don't see that!
Imagine being 26 years old and augmenting your face to such an extent. It is really scary and really sad. I want to give her a hug and tell her how much I have loved growing older.
The crazy thing is Kendall flew under the radar for so long without having tons of people notice she’s had work done, but once she did get lips just like Kylie it made everyone recognize everything else she’s done. But it’s wild cause she’s been making changes to her face since she was a teenager
I read at one time, that Kendall’s modeling agency insisted that she hold off on the face transforming procedures that her sister was doing. I guess that flew out the window. These naturally beautiful young women need to stop, or they will end up looking like the WAY overdone and desperate Madonna who is looking like an alien, these days.
She has always been so pretty, such a shame she couldn't wait until becomes older at least but then there must be lots of pressure when you cone from the plastic, fake family.
She literally tried to transform her typical wt caveman looking face of zero lips, no jawline, zero cheekbones, thick browbone with eyebrows that almost tough the eyes into looking as if she's from Indigenous descent from Mexico/Central-South America with sharp jawlines, high cheekbones, full lips, eyebrows that are very raised and separated from the eyes. Honestly wt people are ugh-lee and look like cave-men
Glad word is being spread about Kendall’s procedures. I’m tired of hearing how naturally beautiful she is. Don’t use that family and “natural” in the same sentence.
@@Naomi.Robertson I think she means as she’s tired as in other celebrities like Megan, Bella Hadid, and Khloe kardashian are being slammed for their surgeries, while Kendall gets a pass for getting nearly the same facial surgeries as her sister
@@ghfamghgam1172 she got filler in them several times to make them bigger, overlines them, and then uses an instagram story filter to make them even bigger. It looks crazy
I had the same brow line as Kendall had naturally but also a frown in the middle which gave me quite an annoyed/sarcastic expression. Just before I was going to get Botox I found out I was gluten intolerant, cut it out and realised half of the heaviness around my brows and lids used to be down to mild swelling! Made me so glad I didn’t start doing Botox to fix something that was actually a health problem!
T.I wife change ger face, she did a surgery to change her eye color, sad we don't talk about it. Alot of others celebrities are hiding what they do. Kendell is just older here with makeup.
People need to stop watching their shows and buying the cheap yet expensive make-up stuff the Jenner girl pushes on line. She became a billionaire that way. Easy money........so she buys herself a new face. Sickening.
I’m speculating that they all have body dysmorphic syndrome. Khloe was beautiful and I respected her for not going down the surgery route. I was horrified when I saw how she changed her entire face. Kenndal didn’t need any work done to her face whatsoever as well. I found the Kardashian’s show to be a dangerous show for teenage girls to watch and that is the age they target as far as I can tell. They need to fade out of the spotlight at this point.
@@esthergift8373 I’m sorry but you are delusional. This is what the Kardashians want us to think, that they are naturally “perfect.” There is nothing wrong with getting plastic surgery as long as you don’t lie about not having it, when you have.
@@littlegrubbins1397 She always tried to be ''i'm not like other girls'' always talked how other Kardashians are wearing makeup and she doesn't when she obviously had makeup on.
Kendal Jenner is no exception. The vast majority of celebrities, sadly , are forced to remain as youthful and beautiful as possible in order, or so they feel, to remain relevant. This too often seems to result in unbridled narcissism. (Of, course, that’s only my opinion). I compliment those who at least admit to procedures (let’s not forget rampant photoshopping, ala Jennifer Lopez) rather than presenting an untenable goal for, especially, young women and girls. The denials, the “I’ve NEVER had any kind of cosmetic procedure whatsoever”, while not only being blatantly false, is creating an epidemic of body dysmorphia among women. We should be looking elsewhere for role “models”. I say all this as a former model who realized long ago there were things far more important to my existence than my appearance. We should all try to lead by example for our children, and theirs. Beauty alone will not get you far in life, without the financial means to maintain, or create it. Search deeper into yourselves for those things that are far more meaningful. Have you ever chosen a book, attracted by the exquisite artwork in the cover, only to embark upon reading a story that was a major . Find a good story. Forget the cover.
LOL Doc's reaction to seeing his work included in Stephanie's video.. too cute. I think that's how we feel when TH-camrs 'like' or reply to our comments on their videos 😂
I have a hard time dealing with these unauthentic looks, it's really creepy how unnatural they appear, I think this trend of fixing ones face is solely based on lack of self love and self respect
It’s not because they lack self love, it’s because if you can afford to make your face marketable, businesses will use you as model and you become a pseudo reality tv star. Prior to the Kardashians and social media, without Hollywood, that was impossible. This type of thing started a long time before the Kardashians really started setting the standards. It started with like jen selter types, with her fake butt being lauded as the result of bands and certain exercises. She then started selling pants and teas and stuff. However when Kylie took over after her lip surgery I think she became probably the biggest star we’ll ever see in that category (grifter who used the scandal of transforming her face as a teenager to sell makeup, supposedly the explanation behind the evolution, which most adults knew was a lie then). It was not commonplace prior to Kylie for average people to say, “if you can afford elective surgery and it makes you happy, you should do it.” Because it’s so common now I pray to god it’ll fall out of fashion (as will the kardashian body type).
Dr. Gary's videos are great, but this whole fake face stuff makes me ill. I was a model with Elite in the 80s, and while there was a lot of sexual abuse going on, I can 99.9% assure you that our looks were natural, which is why that generation of models were so unique. You didn't just go out and buy your face and be a "model." Uggghhhh
Because models were actually models and had to be beautiful nowadays rich people are altering their kids faces to try and make models of them . They know they wouldn’t stand a chance of getting picked if they didn’t have famous relatives. Which is why i no longer by Vogue , Harpers etc because the models are not models anymore
Exactly. I had assumed the high fashion modeling level would look down on this much plastic surgery on models. I know some supermodels have had procedures, Adriana Lima as breast impants, that kind of thing, but not to the level of total reconstruction. Either that or plastic surgery has recently advanced to the point well done surgery that's not taken overboard can produce stunning and natural looking results so it was only a matter of time until this happened.
Imagine thinking approaching 30 is getting old. Not sure the people that think like that have many real, normal problems in their life. I'm absolutely invested in seeing the long term affects that prolonged use of botox has for people that started in their 20s though. I feel like they'll need a face lift whether they want it or not. It's going to be very interesting indeed!
I agree, there is likely going to be a negative impact such as the atrophy mentioned in the video. There's a reason why dermatologists and skin care professionals barely wear makeup.
This is a kardashian/jenner we're talking about. She will have her first face lift in her early 30s like Kim did botox or no botox. I'm sure she's already planning it so doesn't care what atrophy the botox gives her.
@@steph9123 My comment was just stating my observation. I noticed that dermatologists and skin care professionals have GREAT skin. I also noticed that the common denominator between these professionals and people I knew in my personal life who had great skin was that they barely wore makeup. I think wearing foundation/powder etc (hours at a time) are preventing the skin from breathing. and contribute to pre-mature aging of the skin. Anybody feel free to chime in with your thoughts and observations.
It's funny because Kendall was the one that used to always say her sisters were beautiful naturally and didn't need plastic surgery or fillers. Now it seems she has had just as many procedures as the rest of her sisters.
I never believe anything anyone says anymore. They all seem to say one thing and then become hypocrites and do the opposite of what they espouse. The Kardashians are an excellent example of it.
I worked for 15 years a group of plastic surgeons as an RN starting in the early 80’s. The women of all ages had various reasons for their surgeries but I saw many returning for different surgeries that they hadn’t initially thought about. The front office staff all had multiple types of surgery as it was all done for free and they were also used as examples to patients. When I saw patients for the first time, they all asked what I had done eyeing me up and down, but didn’t believe me when I said that hadn’t had anything done. One doctor who joined after me assumed that I had multiple surgeries and although I rarely worked as chaperone, I did on occasion. The doctor was discussing a rhinoplasty surgery and turned to me and explained to the patient that he would never make the tip look like mine. I told the doc that my nose was natural and was similar to my dad’s. He never believed me, but quite a few years later he saw my teenage son whose nose was identical to mine and commented on genetics. I think that people become so insecure about every detail of their face or body that they don’t appreciate their uniqueness and that personality is what makes them. If one feature that someone intensely dislikes, surgery can change that feature and give them confidence, but to try and achieve perfection and perpetual youth, they become caricatures of themselves.
All the staff at the surgeon's office where I go have plastic surgery face 😬 It's well done, but when every single woman there has had the same facial procedures and are apparently aiming for the same aesthetic it starts to be sickening. They look like lemmings. Out on the street I wouldn't pick them out as looking unnatural, but being able to pick out the fake lips and the expressionless faces is a good deterrent for me to avoid unnecessary procedures lol
Yes. I believe this is a very common practice at a plastic surgeon's office. My mom was the office director for a plastic surgeon for 17 years and everyone working there had a lot of work done.
@@nwalden5744 I don’t have insecurities about my looks and he probably based his opinion on the number of procedures that the other staff had done and just assumed that I must have surgery as well. He was the one who removed a painful ganglion on my finger and later a mole on my son that was irritated because it was on my son’s waistline. He had previously trained as a cardiovascular surgeon with DeBakey and changed his specialty, so was a meticulous, skilled surgeon but wasn’t known for his tact. We got along well together and his comment was made shortly after he joined the practice and didn’t really know me. The office staff all had at least 3 procedures, some 5 or more and patients would even ask about my breast augmentation 🤣 which I never had done. I worked in the OR and wore a surgical mask so my face was covered most of the time when the surgeon saw me. I didn’t consider it an insult.
@@tastx3142 okay good bit even then like even if others had work you can’t generalize everyone and when you told him you didn’t he didn’t believe you. He seems to not have a good bed side manner . This is why even if I do want something I’ll never get anything. Cause I’m always told I look like a kid and way younger I don’t wanna look older especially with the industry I work in. However I think I will want a nose job. Because I feel like it takes away from my other features however as a black woman I do not want my nose to make me look anything other than black if you get my drift I want to find someone that’s used to working with ethnic noses ya know?
I got filler and my lips done back in 2019 and I cried for months. I thought I looked like a clown and aged even worse. It finally dissolved and I'LL NEVER put that stuff in my face again. Everyone is different and do what makes you happy but please just do your homework 🥰
@@laurenjeanvp5131 : what happened to the filler you used in the following three years, from 35 to 38? Were you pleased with the results, and did you do it again?
@@laurenjeanvp5131 : glad you let fillers go. I have never used anything or botox: I use fresh aloe gel that I get from real aloe leaves! You can buy a large aloe leaf at the Spanish grocery stores or grocery section in your town, or grow one like I do. I then "filet" the gel from the inside and run it through a blender and freeze it. Rub the frozen cube on my hands so it melts a little bit, and rub it all over my face and I have NO winkles or crows feet at all, and I'm 72 years old. Who knew? Cheap and easy and 100% organic. @@isabellaarmina in the first few seasons of the show, they were all more natural looking, even Kim, she had obviously had a Brazilian butt lift, but she still had Armenian features. Now they’re just so full of fillers, silicone, and fat injections, they look like blow up dolls. Their houses were actually pretty normal and homey looking, nothing like the cold looking mansions they all ‘live’ in now. I haven’t watched the show in years, but they all look so fake these days, like they’re wearing masks!
Hundred percent agree it’s gonna be interesting to see how people turn out in their 50s and 60s after trying to do so much plastic surgery at such a young age
They’d either look like the cat lady or good like Kris Jenner and Jane Fonda but Fonda admits she herself didn’t start getting plastic surgery until her late sixties. I think even Kris wasn’t big on altering her looks until after her KUWTK show became popular.
And unfortunately, there’s this thing called “pretty privilege” applies to both men and women, even if they aren’t necessarily nice, if they’re attractive, well, there’s a lot of things they can get away with.
Right on wolf !!!!!!!!! These phonies are some of the most harmful and dangerous creeps is our society... Their popularity is beginning to wane and soon enough, they will be out of the picture for good.....
Oh yeah i am waiting for that too. I think that this beauty obsesionn will lead humans on the verge of insanity someday. Not mamy people think about longtime consequences of changing their apperance so drasticllly. Medical sector will thrive on revison surgeries.
I agree! Even Kris’s Jenner is starting to look a little “pulled” after all of her procedures. The best plastic surgeons in the world cannot create new/undamaged facial skin for the women who are obsessed with constant procedures. I’ve also wondered what their butts look like after all of the fillers and then the BBLs…then more BBLs back to smaller butts. Poor Kim looked like she had a loaded diaper for too long but is now much smaller. Does she even show photos of herself in a bathing suit…without filters? I am not being cruel, just curious as to how much is too much and the skin becomes disfigured permanently!
I’m not against plastic surgery but when people are making changes faster than they change relationships, at some point we all have to realize that they are doing this to stay relevant and for money. It’s just not healthy whatever beauty standard the Kardashians are trying to get us to chase with them. I’m okay with ignoring them and just trying to love ourselves. I hope you and Stephanie collab at some point, you always have great videos that are educational and fascinating.
@@KenDotCom Most? I would not call it most. Plenty of people have never even heard of them at all and there's a lot of bot accounts on social media. A LOT. Social media is just a sample of all the people in the world, despite what many people seem to think.
It has nothing to do with with relevancy and money. It’s insecurity. Plastic surgery is literally just insecurity. Idk why you’re failing to see that they are victims…
Honestly at this point I think the Kardashians themselves may no longer have an accurate idea of what they look like. So much of their life involves looking good in photos and they definitely still use pretty heavy filters and photoshopping to make sure they look a certain way. All this time spent looking at heavily edited photos of yourself and others has been found to have links to having a negative body image and I think that might be happening to the Kardashians. Cameras always have s certain level of distortion happening and they’re 2D images instead of three-dimensionsl beings so you do look different in photos than in real life and it can be really difficult to take a photo where you look the same as how you see yourself when you look in the mirror. This obviously creates the discrepancy between how they perceive themselves and how they look, which could be leading them onto a path of endless elective cosmetic procedures
I agree!! Sometimes I take a pic of myself/see myself in a pic and I'm SHOCKED because I never realised I looked so "awful". Unfortunately, photos can do that. It doesn't make it true! We're much more alike to our mirror image than we are to photos, but like you say, when people like the Kardashians/Jenners only see themselves on camera/in edited pics, they're probably HORRIFIED to see "less flattering" candids. It's so sad, because they would all be naturally gorgeous without the surgery/injectables.
Apart from the many examples of endless surgical procedures making so many women look older as the hit their 40's and over, I'm interested in the long term effects of Botox, not just on the muscles, but what has been reported about how, by freezing the forehead , the forehead is unable to then move the scalp muscles, when the person is trying to respond facially to an emotion. As I hear it, in the long term, this can make it very difficult for people to emote properly, because their brain isn't receiving the signals required to "feel" the correct emotions when required. I understand that this can cause real problems with emotional responses; doctor, can you comment on this?
I have definitely noticed a scary trend with certain people where I live. No emotion on their face no matter the situation. Makes them look like they just don't care or are drugged up even
I love these videos because I feel better about myself. Constantly seeing “perfect” celebrities can wear my self confidence down, and then I remember it’s professional filters, makeup, and plastic surgery. Thank you for making this channel 💕
You’re beautiful because you’re you. Never let a celebrity with plastic surgery, a personal makeup artist, professional lighting, AND photoshop make you believe otherwise.
I really respect her and your take because of how honest and non-bs it is. It's true she did look really good from some of it, but I think the potential danger of such good results is making you want to seek more of it, like Pavlovian conditioning. There's like a tipping point with plastic surgery where getting more done after that gives diminishing results and makes you look worse. The human body isn't infinitely malleable without sustaining damage over time.
It's interesting: these celebrity women get picked apart for their flaws and then picked apart when they have surgery. I find these videos fascinating and informative. I also get uncomfy with other channels/ media that criticize people who get plastic surgery. This channel is scientific, informative and the least judgy. Thanks!
I can’t imagine being in the limelight for everyone to pick apart. I can see why the go on circles trying to fit everyone standards. I’m sure their life is brutal behind the scenes. Money, fame, is not what it’s cracked up to be.
I think you’re barking up the wrong tree if you think the Kardashians are in any way victims of this. For example, if you google some terms looking for discussion of their facial surgery/body in bikini at the beech etc, it’s all from shell media sites that are subsidiary’s of the management company of the actual celebrity. Then you have another article ‘defending’ them saying they’re being treated badly etc. It’s all fake. It’s like pro wrestling. The only purpose is more attention and publicity.
There was brief mention of Bella Hadid-she is gorgeous and I know that my opinion is irrelevant because it affects nothing, but! I know someone else must see it, too-she looks like a young 50 year old to me. Something about the high cheek bones paired with whatever she had done to her eyes and her sunken cheeks. It gives me “Bombshell Babooshka”. I hope the people copying these stars are working on their inner beauty because whew chile the way some of this work is gonna look in a couple of decades.👀
Oh man you are right. I also looked at a picture of Gigi from this year and didn't recognize her, something with her cheeks and lips makes her also look quite a bit older. Just from 2020 to 2022 as well
I have no surgeries fillers etc but I used to think I wanted them since it was “normal” to see growing up as a millennial. It was easier for me to blame something on my appearance rather than do the work to change my inner self. I still watch channels like this from time to time just to gauge where society is at collectively. I’m pleasantly surprised by your integrity as a medical professional. That’s not something we often see anymore. 😅
kendall looked so much like kylie in her natural pics, super cute already. i'm so sad that she felt like she needed facial surgery to meet certain "beauty standards" to be accepted, because she never did, she was stunning from the very start. our "beauty" standards really scare me these days. what happened to the times when we thought we'd just need to learn some makeup do's and tricks to have our perfect little glow up?
I know. Seeing their young pictures together always reminds me how similar they look, they also resemble natural Khloe. It still weirds me out seeing them next to each other now because Kylie goes for the racially ambiguous aesthetic (don't even get me started) and they look pretty different.
Those lips! I always thought she would be one who would remain more natural. I mean, subtle work, but she's really gone overboard, for some reason. A real shame
I’m so glad that I was spared the pressure of getting plastic surgery/fillers/Botox in my 20’s. The pressure on these young women to never age is insane and no matter how much surgery they have, they are still going to age.
True, the pressure to look and keep looking is “insane,.” But as adults, they have the right to say “no.” And they could even become truly relevant by creating content that has genuine meaning for women way beyond “looking beautiful.”
I think if it is done sparingly I think it is fine; I know many of the women I know who are in their 30's are doing botox to not get the lines on the forehead; I was lucky I have very few lines on my forehead; only see them when I am dehydrated; as I was saying if its down its a light touch it looks fine; we as women are very lucky their is so much that we can do to help our skin look nice; my mother had beautiful skin in her 80's but she was religious with her face creams; wrinkles but glowy skin that looked healthy.
I’m almost 30 and have never felt the slightest pressure to alter my face. I’m getting a PhD and I have better things to worry about. Depends on what circle you run in, I suppose. I’m in Jersey tho so the plastic surgery culture is definitely strong among certain circles of women. The young pharmacist at my CVS has the worst lip fillers I’ve ever seen-it’s just awful.
It's the pressure to have dainty, symmetrical features! I have a slight hypertropia in one eye (only noticeable when I look up), yet people love to point it out.
Few years back in my daughter's health social care class they were discussing body confidence etc. Almost all the girls in the class (age 14-15) said that everyone hates their body. They were shown a picture of Kendall and they said " she looks bad. Ugh she's too natural" 😳
I feel so bad for these young girls! I do facials body waxing and this 18 yr old tells me she doesn’t like her skin bc she has little pores etc and it doesn’t look as smooth 👀😅🤦🏼♀️ I told her u mean as smooth as a filter ??? No baby ur skin is a large living organ and it has pores and what not that’s NORMAL! Not these ig pics ur comparing urself to😢
I had the same issue back in the 90s when there was no social media, it's a vulnerable period where girls compare each other a lot. we need to do more as a society to help these young minds
As a woman of 54 now😱 , I don’t understand why these fillers, Botox, and lifts is so necessary in 20 year olds, it’s just setting another “standard” for other young people that doesn’t know any better wanting to look just like these people, I was alright with myself until like 3 years 😬 but this gal can’t afford “work”… I just wish people liked themselves for what they are when they are that young! I can’t imagine starting something like that when your already a beautiful swan! Why risk messing yourself up?! Lawd have mercy! Yes, I’m in the south 😅 Young girls, be proud to be YOUNG! You don’t have to mess with your beautiful self! Own it! PS…….. Dr. Gary, if you feel the need to want to practice on someone for free,,, my hand is raised! 😁 have a good one y’all
It’s necessary because that’s what turns pretty girls into models. Bella wouldn’t be a model if she hadn’t gotten any surgery. Those surgeries gave her her career. She went from looking “normal” to being a supermodel. You can only achieve that with help
@John Sampson yes. She was definitely pretty back then, but not the type of girl that would walk on the runway for Chanel. She just looked like a normal High Schooler, nothing special
I remember watching a Kardashian episode where Kendall said she didn't agree with plastic surgery and that no one should get anything done because they were already beautiful as they were then this
They will flip flop because the need content. They are masters at creating content for public consumption it helps keep ppl talking about them (as we are both doing now). I suppose their momager trained them well.
Dr. Gary--I just love watching your videos because of your very kind, low key vibe--you don't come across as judgmental or arrogant but you do have a great sense of humor. You're a gem!
I did not know the difference between cheek implants and cheek filler. But I think she has the kind of implants that look good under studio lighting and with makeup, but look kind of odd in natural lighting. Idk. She was pretty when she first came up and got a tiny bit of work done, now she looks a little bit off in a way that's hard to pinpoint lol. The amount of surgery they get is kind of depressing.
You are right that she has cheek implants, not filler. Cheek implants look harder whereas filler is more amorphous. She may have a tiny bit of filler to soften the implants, but those are def implants.
I think she suited the first rhinoplasty and Brow lift. I don’t feel that she needed anything else. I believe in enhancing one’s beauty and not changing it.
That is a good point about getting cosmetic surgery too early. Gravity is still undefeated, and it’s interesting to see what gravity does to these faces that have been over surgically enhanced. It’s also crazy to get Botox before one is 35. What’s also interesting that in some countries like China, not disclosing that the person had cosmetic surgery is a grounds for divorce because they’re often trying to pick a partner based on their looks so their children can be attractive.
that’s not funny, that’s incredibly sad. her criticism for kylie is literally just projection of her own securities. sad. and obviously she felt pressured to catch up to her sister’s plastic surgeries. also sad. and she was already so pretty yet still felt like she needed plastic surgery to look beautiful. even more sad
It must be so weird to look at each of your family members in the face when they have changed their natural look so drastically. It'd be like looking at a whole different person. Their poor kids. When you're a child, you dont want your moms look to change. I remember crying myself to sleep after my mom simply changed her hair color when I was young, lol.
Well it's acceptable to body shame and face shame another woman if they undergone plastic surgery right? Women power is so intense here I mean women insecurities. If they are fat asf people would be soft and loving to them. If they undergone surgery people treat them like monsters and murderers

I really love how this surgeon explains everything. He’s completely right, with all These young girl getting these surgery’s this young…we don’t know how it’s going to effect the face down the road. Seems like an awesome very honest surgeon!
In a few hours, I'm going in for yet another Mohs surgery (cancer removal) on my face...the 4th surgery this year and I'm dreading it. 😞I can't imagine getting needles, filler, lifts, etc just for the hell of it. I hope Kendall stops because she's beautiful.

One of the top most paid “models” with all the alterations made for her to be in that position, combined with the family’s connections.. yet sooo many naturally beautiful female models out there who work really hard to get their names in the industry yet impossible for them to because they are not the Kardashians. What a pity pity world we have.
I remember back then when a model’s unique differences used to be what made them a supermodel. Modeling isn’t as dreamy as it used to be. Now, with the right surgeon, anyone can be one which doesn’t leave much to the imagination if you ask me.
I remember an actress named Ali McGraw who was in the movie Love Story when I was a teen. Kendall reminds me of her. A natural, attractive woman. I think she's the most intriguing member of the family. It's sad she, like so many young woman today, think changing the outside will fix the inside.
I love that you said the effects of having cosmetic surgery so young can be detrimental in the long run, and they don't know how they will look when she's in her fifties or sixties. I think I'll stick to being natural 😄 xxx
I love how down to earth cool, intelligent, informative, funny, and just so stinking handsome Dr Gary is! Never knew I’d be so glued to plastic surgery videos! Keep them coming- I’m learning a lot 😊
I have no idea and no interest in this topics (plastic surgery) but your videos are addicted lol. I have no idea how to ended up here! Keep it up Doctor!
Thank you for contributing with a critical point of view. I often think about how fillers and surgery effects us mentally so it's nice to hear someone with knowledge of the medical perspective lift these questions as well.
So many young girls want to be like them, it's unrealistic fake and creepy what K and the clan have created. Hopefully these young girls/followers will wake up and get some sense.. and by then that family will fade into the background.
Mind-boggling that so many poor people who are disfigured by accident or disease cannot get help to look more "normal" while folks with tons of money intentionally destroy their own natural beauty.
My 55 year old boss has had too much botox and lip filler and she just looks ridiculous. It reaches a point where it doesn’t look natural anymore and it looks bad especially the lips. Shes only like a year older than my mom but she looks 20+ years older. Natural is definitely the way to go.
It is SOOO disappointing, she was Goergouos in 2018 with her few surgeries, she looked incredible and had timeless beauty. Now she looks like a thinner Kylie

I can't wait for humanity to get to the place where how we are on the inside is more important than how we look on the outside. I've never seen so much narcissism en masse in my whole life as I do now.
Madonna was naturally gorgeous and started botox, filler and surgeries way after 40, not 20. She experimented a lot with makeup but she was beautiful and needed nothing done until that point, she had her wrinkles and still looked great.
@@jacquelineess1141 According to Madonna's brother, Christopher Ciccone, in his book he wrote that Madonna got her first facelift at or before 40. It wasn't too long after her daughter Lola was born. She had her when she was 38.
@@TheBOG3 Ok, not after 40 then but around 40. Still not in her 20's though. Huge difference. And a facelift is not filler that accumulates and migrates or botox that permanently paralyzes after continuous use.
I do not support plastics on people under 30 for basic vanity reasons. I had a nose job at 17… I am now 34 and my nose doesn’t look bad but it looks completely different than when it did a year after the surgery. In hindsight though I’d still have the surgery, I would have waited longer to have it done.
A girl in my school had a nose job between her freshman and sophomore year. She told every one she had extra cartilage removed from her nose (haha). Now, as adult, she literally has no bridge to her nose. It’s almost completely flat on her face and is just a little tip. I wonder how she can breathe. I didn’t think doctors would do that on such a young person. As an adult I wish I could have one but it’s way too expensive and I’m too old!
@@JanetSmith900 I had mine done because of a really bad deviated septum and the surgeon told me that he’d have to do a minor rhinoplasty to make up for the cartilage they were removing so my nose didn’t collapse. My nose looks completely normal to anyone that never saw me before… but I certainly notice! Lol
Dr. L would you do a longer video on esthetic priciples that art and plastic surgery are guided by, celebrities/models that are geneticly gifted against what we have now a tweet by demand by body parts. Thank always for another great video.
I already commented it under Stephanie's video: The Kardashians are only this powerful, because people give them this power. They aren't the reason why people make them the standard...people/ society are. These women just exist and try to profit off of this "cult" around them as much as possible. Guys, stop blaming others for your actions. *edit: sorry, I commented it under Stephanie's latest video about Kim K, not this one. **edit: yes, their marketing is top notch, but it's still your own responsibility to use your head no matter how good the marketing is.
Hey, I loved all the information in this video! As a prospective med student, this is so exciting and refreshing to hear. It does sometimes seem that they continue to do this for the relevance and attention in the spotlight. They have come out with some cool things, but loving yourself and working on yourself like your own talents and character are even more important than the exterior. Thank you for this video and your knowledge.
This standard and obsession with perfection is actually not from the ‘family’, it’s all cause of Kim. Kourtney never cared for glam, Kylie used to be rock/punk chic and the silly/fun type, Kendal is a Tomboy and I think, deep down, her real passion is to be an athlete. Khloe was happiest when she was plain and full figure; around this time she was with Lamar and they were genuinely in love at one point. Kim was the one who would always critique her sisters and their looks. She would either destroy them or make them feel God-like with a compliment and they started to feed off of that, esp seeing how important it was in making Kim rich. Khloe and Kourtney used to resist Kim and their mum’s obsession with the perfection for money game but slowly, the dynamics changed and Khloe got sucked in, then Kylie and the rest. Kourtney is still struggling and is trying hard to hold onto her identity and be different but over the years, she has lost all her confidence and has become pretty sensitive and insecure. Travis is slowly planting seeds though and you can tell when she talks that she says some intelligent stuff to defend herself but they’re all from Travis, not her 😅 like when she said to Kim “you accumulate and you’re constantly working but you don’t know what you’re driven by”. It was bang on and very insightful but clearly something Travis would have said that she held onto. I want to see where Travis takes Kourtney. That’s the only interesting thing right now. I feel sad for Kim; all that money and hard work but she’s never experienced true love at her age. Always used as an object of desire or someone’s muse but never truly loved and nurtured for who she is inside. The only person who loved and nurtured Kim without any business involved was her dad and that’s why she gets extremely emotional over him. Sad.
i saw a women recently that had very thin lips and unusal features, A little bump to her nose. and she was so beautiful and carried herself with humility and confidence. I was so impressed. it was so refeshing to see someone who looked so natural.
If you look at actresses who mostly work in other countries (Bollywood aside, where all the stars are also perfect), English and French actresses are unique and beautiful. For example, Camille Cottin from "Call My Agent" would have to have had her nose "fixed" in Hollywood, but she's so talented and beautiful with her natural nose.
I think you’re my fav TH-cam doctor. You have such an approachable attitude that (in my opinion) you don’t see much with highly educated people such as doctors. I don’t think I’d get white coat syndrome if I was ever to be your patient! Keep being you! ❤
I always love hearing your thoughts. And I agree with you that she doesn't look as natural with the (likely) cheek implants. She was so beautiful with what she'd already had done. I think we tend to be our own worst enemy unfortunately. And I'd like to think that had she not been a Kardashian she wouldnt have had these recent changes. I do think they put so much pressure on themselves.
One thing I can't seem to ever get answered about Kendall's face is what procedure made her mouth wider? She always had a very narrow mouth opening, even when smiling with her teeth, but now she's smiling from cheek to cheek. Simple lip fillers or a lip flip wouldn't do that, would it?
i might be able to help a little. my face is asymmetrical, which leads to an asymmetric smile, sharper on one side and blunt on the other. my jaw tilts more towards the left, which leads to a fuller cheek on the left side which i think gives the corner of my mouth the lift to look sharp. this makes the other side look rounded and less spacious in comparison. could be totally wrong though so take with a grain of salt

The crazy thing is Kendall flew under the radar for so long without having tons of people notice she’s had work done, but once she did get lips just like Kylie it made everyone recognize everything else she’s done. But it’s wild cause she’s been making changes to her face since she was a teenager
Yes, she was always heralded as the “natural Kardashian” but people are definitely seeing past that now!
Exactly

People need to stop watching their shows and buying the cheap yet expensive make-up stuff the Jenner girl pushes on line. She became a billionaire that way. Easy money........so she buys herself a new face. Sickening.
me freaking too
I’m speculating that they all have body dysmorphic syndrome.
I think we‘re all Surferin from Body dysmorphia, especislly those who get the Procedures done
It doesn't even look good no matter how hard they push this agenda. It's not like men fall down at the sight of them.
I agree with you, but your name "Fanta Sip" sent me on a trip.
I could have given her enough "love" for the both of us...
Its actually impressive how much detail she was able to spot even though she's not an expert
Kendal lips look like a perfect bh
I’m not a expert either i noticed things so quick
If I'm not mistaken, Stephanie is a makeup artist with an eye for detail, so I'm not surprised she's able to pick up on so many changes.
if you watch these types of vid religiously u get good 😆
It’s because she’s had work done.
That's why I liked that Kendall stayed natural to begin with. The whole made-up face is not good
Because models were actually models and had to be beautiful nowadays rich people are altering their kids faces to try and make models of them . They know they wouldn’t stand a chance of getting picked if they didn’t have famous relatives. Which is why i no longer by Vogue , Harpers etc because the models are not models anymore
Same for the 90s! You came how you looked. Well, your face anyways. Soon after I stopped , the first requests started..
Exactly 💯

Imagine thinking approaching 30 is getting old. Not sure the people that think like that have many real, normal problems in their life. I'm absolutely invested in seeing the long term affects that prolonged use of botox has for people that started in their 20s though. I feel like they'll need a face lift whether they want it or not. It's going to be very interesting indeed!
I agree, there is likely going to be a negative impact such as the atrophy mentioned in the video. There's a reason why dermatologists and skin care professionals barely wear makeup.
Like all the breast implants in the nursing home. An osteoarthritic spine in an octogenarian with 40DD boobs. Very problematic.
This is a kardashian/jenner we're talking about. She will have her first face lift in her early 30s like Kim did botox or no botox. I'm sure she's already planning it so doesn't care what atrophy the botox gives her.
@@acebutterfly2725 I don't see anything wrong with makeup ? As long as you remove it at night + it's way better than having plastic surgery/botox etc
@@steph9123 My comment was just stating my observation. I noticed that dermatologists and skin care professionals have GREAT skin. It's funny because Kendall was the one that used to always say her sisters were beautiful naturally and didn't need plastic surgery or fillers. Now it seems she has had just as many procedures as the rest of her sisters.

It’s sad he insulted you
@@nwalden5744 I don’t have insecurities about my looks and he probably based his opinion on the number of procedures that the other staff had done and just assumed that I must have surgery as well.

That is such an interesting thought!!! Being unable to emote/express one’s properly can definitely have detrimental effects on their mental health.
I have definitely noticed a scary trend with certain people where I live. No emotion on their face no matter the situation. Makes them look like they just don't care or are drugged up even
@@mamadab2563 maybe a bit of both
I wonder how all the general anesthesia this one family has undergone (for elective procedures) has impacted their overall health?
This is a great topic for a video!
What does repeated exposure to anasthesia cause
Alot of facial procedures are done awake. I'd love a video of which ones they do amd dont put you under for.
@Madannika D good question. 🤔
Great question!🤔
I love these videos because I feel better about myself. Constantly seeing “perfect” celebrities can wear my self confidence down, and then I remember it’s professional filters, makeup, and plastic surgery. Thank you for making this channel 💕
And after all that they're still not happy with their looks. Which shows ya chasing perfection is fruitless
You’re beautiful because you’re you. Never let a celebrity with plastic surgery, a personal makeup artist, professional lighting, AND photoshop make you believe otherwise.
There is 100% naturally beautiful people, just way less common than the fake variety...
My advice: never compare yourself
Even so, you should work on your self-esteem because if you saw a naturally beautiful person, how would you feel?
@@propogandalf ofcourse they are happy asf being a millionaire and pretty. Life just isn't fair and we should accept it
I really respect her and your take because of how honest and non-bs it is.
Yes, there is a tipping point, and I think she has now gone past it. It's all downhill from here.
And she's going to pay the price later.
Hi Dr! Wish you could have added more of your own commentary at the end, or a summary of your thoughts. Thanks!
It's interesting: these celebrity women get picked apart for their flaws and then picked apart when they have surgery. I find these videos fascinating and informative. I also get uncomfy with other channels/ media that criticize people who get plastic surgery. This channel is scientific, informative and the least judgy. Thanks!
They were never flawed to begin with
I can’t imagine being in the limelight for everyone to pick apart.
Ever heard of the NewGon Wiki?
I love plastic surgery but I don’t like when people start to look like aliens . That’s not her portion here in this video but for example Madonna
I hope the people copying these stars are working on their inner beauty because whew chile the way some of this work is gonna look in a couple of decades.👀
honestly I always thought the same! It will be interesting to see how her facial features will change once she really starts aging
Not even decades
“Bombshell babushka” I cackled out loud
Lmfaooo I’ve never thought of this but I totally see it now! She’s stunning nonetheless
I don’t care about Kardashians, but this Doctor is so handsome. I just enjoy looking at his smile and facial reactions. 😅 adorable!
kendall looked so much like kylie in her natural pics, super cute already. i'm so sad that she felt like she needed facial surgery to meet certain "beauty standards" to be accepted, because she never did, she was stunning from the very start. our "beauty" standards really scare me these days. what happened to the times when we thought we'd just need to learn some makeup do's and tricks to have our perfect little glow up?
I know. Seeing their young pictures together always reminds me how similar they look, they also resemble natural Khloe. It still weirds me out seeing them next to each other now because Kylie goes for the racially ambiguous aesthetic (don't even get me started) and they look pretty different.
If the beauty standards are to look like insects and outer space aliens, then count me out.
Honestly wt people are ugh-lee and look like cave-men
@@ProudKansan08 Ikr...
I literally can't tell them apart. They all try way too hard to look like clones of each other. It's sad.
Kendall was so pretty in a unique way. What's she's done to her face is a tragedy.
The funny thing is she was almost Kris's twin; I wonder if the push to alter that came internally or directly from the source
Those lips! I always thought she would be one who would remain more natural. I mean, subtle work, but she's really gone overboard, for some reason. A real shame
Her lips look fine in some of the pictures but then she over filled them and started looking like a clown.
Nope she looked like Kylie 😂😢😊 which is why Kylie had facial reconstruction just like Ivanka 😢😅
I agree.
The let them mind their own business. You'll not die from it
It's the pressure to have dainty, symmetrical features! I have a slight hypertropia in one eye (only noticeable when I look up), yet people love to point it out.
your accent is sooooo relaxing and calm.
Few years back in my daughter's health social care class they were discussing body confidence etc. Almost all the girls in the class (age 14-15) said that everyone hates their body. They were shown a picture of Kendall and they said " she looks bad. Ugh she's too natural" 😳
Whoa. Where are you located in the world? I underestimated how beauty toxicity actuallyinfiltrated the minds of young people.

Over generations, beauty standards differ. Then you add social media and platforms such as Tiktok, man, the body dysmorphia is REAL.
@johnsampson6387 She looked better after the earlier procedures. I think she is now starting to look worse. She needs to stop where she is.
You are so cool Dr, I like the video when you spoke about your background. You sounded very genuine 😊
I remember watching a Kardashian episode where Kendall said she didn't agree with plastic surgery and that no one should get anything done because they were already beautiful as they were then this

Cheek implants are a mould surgically done .
The other is less invasive
Fillers are injections and implants are surgeries.

I've discovered both your channel and Stephanie's separately but I'm really enjoying the cross-over. :)
One of the top most paid “models” with all the alterations made for her to be in that position, combined with the family’s connections.. yet sooo many naturally beautiful female models out there who work really hard to get their names in the industry yet impossible for them to because they are not the Kardashians. What a pity pity world we have.
I'm loving this support and comraderie between Stephanie's channel and Dr Gary's channel, it's so sweet and makes things more fun ⭐️
I love Ali McGraw. She a wasn't cookie cutter beauty, she had crooked front teeth and heavy brows and was beautiful. She still is!

So many young girls want to be like them, it's unrealistic fake and creepy what K and the clan have created.
Hopefully these young girls/followers will wake up and get some sense.. and by then that family will fade into the background.
Even the surgeon is tired of their family 😂😂😂
Mind-boggling that so many poor people who are disfigured by accident or disease cannot get help to look more "normal" while folks with tons of money intentionally destroy their own natural beauty.
My 55 year old boss has had too much botox and lip filler and she just looks ridiculous. It reaches a point where it doesn’t look natural anymore and it looks bad especially the lips. Shes only like a year older than my mom but she looks 20+ years older. Natural is definitely the way to go.
She LOOKS TOTALLY DIFFERENT than she did just 3-4 years ago!!!

Isn’t Madonna a perfect example of what these girls might look like at 50-60? There’s your evidence you said we lacked. Loved this combo video, Doc
Madonna was naturally gorgeous and started botox, filler and surgeries way after 40, not 20. She experimented a lot with makeup but she was beautiful and needed nothing done until that point, she had her wrinkles and still looked great.
@@jacquelineess1141 so I think my statement holds true.

Sad.
I think it’s a combination of both of your comments lol it’s definitely Kris and Kim.
you seem like a genuinely kind and down to earth human, also very knowledgable and professional, this made it worth watching, thank you :)

I do wish more people in the world thought like you. Natural is best.

I agree I think the Jenner/Kardashians set a lot of beauty trends for modern times
I have followed Stephanie for many, many years and her content is bomb.
Sometimes a face lift can stretch the smile.
She became gorgeous after the surgery!
