If she has indeed had procedures, they’ve been done SO well. She still looks natural, still has movement and expression in her face, and most importantly she still resembles her teenage self. I’m all for enhancing looks if it will result in a confidence boost - more power to Taylor if that’s what she’s done!
Never would’ve guessed cheek implants. I definitely noticed that she did something to her eyes and nose years ago. Her eyes are not squinty anymore and her nose is definitely different. Her procedures are so subtle compared to other celebs. She’s done a good job at not making it too obvious or taking it too far.
It’s refreshing to see that Taylor hasn’t drastically changed her features to make her look like a completely different person. She has always been naturally beautiful, and any work she may have done is subtle and complements her face well
That's so interesting, I never would have spotted any of those surgeries! I always thought the minor changes were just because of aging and losing the baby fat in her face. I think all the procedures she may have had look very natural and I'm glad she isn't changing her face completely like many other beautiful celebrities.
thats because they are mainly changes due to aging and body weight changes, you can see that many of the procedures suggested are only noticed in the photos he mentions. For example you can see that her eyes are completely the same in the comparison pictures (the brows have the same definition, same height, the cat eye looks the same if we don't take the make up into account, etc). To me the nose looks completely the same too.
I’m a fan of Taylor Swift since 2007 when I just turned 16 and I knew she had some enhancements. I’m also kinda obsessed about spotting plastic surgery procedures celebrities have had. And I’m thanking this doctor for being honest. Some doctors aren’t as bold as him because probably am don’t want to be cancelled or bashed by her fans. This helps raise awareness so youngsters won’t set high standards for themselves.
As a huge Taylor fan, I think you're spot on with the minimal nose surgery she has had. She actually sings about it, as in 2019 she released a song called The Archer, exploring themes around anxiety and self-loathing where she sings "I cut off my nose just to spite my face". What I see is she mostly tries to maintain her youth with the plastic surgeries. At Age 24 she did started to look be aged. I remembered years ago I felt like she looked like the type who would naturally age fast because of how fast she naturally changed at 24. Then she looked more youthful at age 26. She looks like her which is good but most people who undergo plastic surgery usually start small to maintain their looks and would go the extreme when they get older hoping to stay youthful but they just can't stop time of aging no matter what they do. Hopefully she just accepts to age gracefully and not do more with surgeries.
Finally!!! I was waiting for you to do Taylor Swift. Her eyes are no longer hooded, and her cheeks look more prominent these days. Also her nose looks more refined. But her surgeries are all very subtle looking.

Nothing against Taylor, she is beautiful. But this is why beauty standards are so unachievable. Because the people who meet and direct the standard can’t even meet them without plastic surgery.

most ppl do not have that kind of money to perfect and fix every flaw or sign of aging. i certainly don't. and doesn't it send message we all need to be and stay flawless to be attractive. ppl get older and changes happen. i think we need to embrace & accept these changes. if you're a celebrity and billionaire who is always in the public eye, i think it's fine to have subtle procedures done that don't make you look like a different person or completely flawless. young girls and adult women struggle enough w the way they perceive their looks, facial features, hair, & body, i think it's wrong to encourage ppl to change who and what they look like.
Meh. It doesn't affect me in any way. I literally look at myself in the mirror everyday and think "wow, you sexy." I've never had anything done and I'm 41. I'm not full of myself nor do I think I'm a supermodel. I just have a healthy body image and I think more people need that kind of attitude instead of obsessing over their natural features or what celebrities look like.
I love Taylor Swift, and I know she's spoken openly about body dismorphia with regards to weight. I wish more celebs would be forthcoming with surgery. Awesome analysis as always!
In her Reputation era she saw more comfortable and the healthy weight she gained looked perfect, maybe she still deals with body dismorphia but hoepfully she it's attending it with a therapist.
She spoke about things just fine. There's not much of anything to talk about. These are speculations based on photos. However without makeup she has nearly always looked exactly the same and majority of the photos are angles and lighting.
There is a list of celebrities, politicians, musicians, royals who were involved in satanic human rights atrocities and every single person on that list have all of a sudden have been given a "new face". Use your brains people, this is not a coincidence, these people have been replaced with body doubles, clones, masked actors so those who were brainwashed by these people would not lose their minds and cause riots while every single one of these criminals were rounded up and arrested. Whoever she went to did a beautiful job. She still looks like herself, and to my untrained eye, I never would have guessed she had a nose job. Though, I have been a fan since 2006 and I did notice that her eyes have gotten more open over time. She looks great!
She used to openly mention how self-conscious she was about her eyes being too small, so that comes off as no surprise. The nose I've been saying for years! It just looks a lot thinner now. She's always been breathtaking though, the Abercrombie and Fitch campaign she did at around 14?? I'm still in shock kids picked on her for her looks!

But you don’t ‘know’ it was paid for though. These people have the best make up artists + don’t forget camera angles with all these different pictures. You don’t see Taylor when she’s just gotten out of bed in the morning. You see her pictures from red carpet events and photo shoots where you are supposed to look the best you possibly could. And makeup has seriously eveolved over the years. People look different when they age too. If people saw pictures of me when I was fifteen compared to now where I look so different, I assume if I was famous people would say I had surgery. If I was just me though and people saw me they would just say“wow you look so different”. But no one would accuse me of plastic surgery. Camera angles and makeup.

As you said she always was pretty (I personally didn't think she was pretty or ugly, just neutral to me). But now I'm blown away. Her new 1989 cover is so gorgeous, that there had to be some surgery 😂
I wouldn't call her supermodel gorgeous bc her face type isn't typical you see in fashion models (I used to consume lots of fashion content with models). She looks more like actress level pretty. But she knows how to play up her best features with makeup, not to mention she hides her big, wide forehead with strategically placed bangs. Actually her head and face is unusually large along with wide mid section. But she draws attention to her lips and eyes with makeup. It's all just strategic styling. Just like her friend Sel who also has a big forehead and now a receading hairline that starts too far up, that you wouldn't have even noticed when she was a teenager who always bangs. I too look cuter with bangs it helps hide undesirable parts, like weird uneven hairlines. You're not less attractive than celebs you're just not employing their intentional tactics
I'd love for you to mention veneers more or bring a dentist on to talk about how they can change the shape and maturity of your face, especially when they're too large. Hilary Duff and Kid Cudi come to mind because they both came out with veneers WAY too big for their faces at one point.

I'm looking to have a discussion about how properly sized veneers aid in appearance. Lil' Kim and Aaron Paul have great veneers. Dirk Nowitzki's are terrible.
I recall seeing footage, and photos of Taylor Swift on the Grammys red carpet with Selena Gomez which prompted me to look at Taylor's face differently. I couldn't put my finger on it, she just looked different from that point on. It's clear to me that she got plastic surgery on her eyes. Her original eye shape was unique. Small squinty almond shaped eyes. I think it was her best feature. She approached plastic surgery the "right" way. She did it in moderation.
I picked up on the brow lift/blepharoplasty stuff because she used to have more narrow eyes and the difference is noticeable. (My best friend called her "Squinty Swift" back in the day, lol.) I really think her work was incredibly tasteful and artistic, a real improvement to her looks without actually changing her in any fundamental way. She still looks exactly like herself, but better. More stars should emulate her.
Is no one going to address the multiple versions of veneers she’s had done and replaced over the years?? At least 2 sets were far too big for her mouth, and greatly affected the forward projection of her lower face and cheek appearance. This was most obvious when she was also at her peak ED stage/thinness (think 2016 Grammy award speech). Same with the lip filler. 100% agree on an upper bleph as well.

Listening to you analyse people's facial features always makes me wish I could be told what's up with mine. Not out of any unhappiness with my features, just sheer curiousity. It's super fascinating.

@@emmarose7491 It is about proportions. Haven't you ever noticed that when people loses weight, their nose gets bigger & vice versa? Also, as people age & they lose collagen in their face, noses appear larger. It happened to me, & I had my nose rasped down a tiny bit about 6 year ago.
She's definitely had her eyes done. I remember when she first started hitting the big time I thought she had the smallest eyes even in proportion to her petite face. Pretty but small. Somehow they're now rounder and you can see more of the whites of her eyes even with heavy makeup. Can't explain that away with weight change or natural aging
@@poplikid3306 this doesnt really apply but just on the point about weight changes affecting your eyes, when I gained weight in my face it made it that my eyes got smaller and practically disappear when I smile lol. Taylor is the opposite, so yeah I'm pretty sure she had something done. It looks so good too! I low key would like to have something similar done to open my eyes up a bit, more like tbey were before. My eyebrow and left eye have also drooped considerably bc of a medical issue so that makes they eye look even more closed off.

I'm always in 2 minds about celeb surgeries. It makes me sad that they literally go under the knife for millimetre changes, but I totally get it. Being scrutinised everyday just because of your looks, of course you're gonna get these things done. They also do look very beautiful after. But they were before too.

i've noticed a tendency to change one's face to fit a beauty trend. these homogenized faces sometimes photograph well (seems to be the whole point) but if you've ever seen these types up close and in person, it quickly enters uncanny valley territory. what will these people look like in ten, fifteen, or twenty years?
@lifelongstudent434 check out an indie band called Vesilio (Bring Back Glory). Or Corrina (Give Me Time). People love to complain about singers sounding the same when there is a plethora of artists who don't have the means to get heard who are producing unique work.
She has a very distinctive and beautiful face. Not your classical super model look, but way more intriguing. And her smile is absolute knockout, it just melts your heart. She is a natural smiler! As for plastic surgery; if she's had it it was very subtle. She was super lean in her mid 20s, and I wonder how much of an effect the low body fat had on her face. She was so super gorgeous at that time though ! 😍
Knowing now that she was suffering with an eating disorder I can look at photos of that period in the same way, glad that she not only got treatment but openly talks about it.
@@biazachai agree! my daughter has struggled w eating disorder and for a celebrity like taylor to open up and be forthcoming about her own struggles & the tx she got, as well as her recovery process is great for young girls who are overly critical about their appearance or other aspects of their life. taylor is just so real for a celebrity especially one of her caliber. it's refreshing & restores the fact that there are still good ppl in the chaotic uncertain world. her ability to focus on the moments is another great lesson for young ppl as well as any age. she's an old soul & very wise & full of love & compassion. ❤
I would love to see a video where both you and a professional make up artist discuss a celebrities facial changes! It would be interesting to hear both perspectives. Because makeup artists definitely have many tricks to create shadows etc that make faces appear different, especially in still image. It would be cool to hear you say “This appears sharper” and then you could say how it could have been achieved in surgery, and a makeup artist could say how it could be temporarily achieved in a photo with makeup. Personally, I think Taylor’s changes are the result of age, the makeup changes & trends used over 13 years, and weight changes. If you look at a greater range of photos, there are also make up looks in earlier years 1989 and earlier, where her eyes look exactly the same as now. It depended on her eye makeup. Similarly, some looks now show her eyes smaller with more eyeliner. But if she has had any work, it’s subtle and looks great. I love how professional, tasteful, and informative you are your videos. It’s helpful that you don’t ‘dumb it down’, but actually refer to the anatomy and list the options for what changes could be attributed to. You never deliver videos in a way where the attitude is like “gotcha!” towards celebrities.
So much this. I love these videos but I think a LOT of plastic surgeons chalk any minor change up to surgery when in reality these celebrities don’t have (proper) pictures taken without makeup on. Every time they mention “very subtle” surgeries, I’m skeptical and instantly think maybe the makeup artist was the “surgeon “. Like, why have a surgery when you have your own makeup artist…?
I would love to see this because I always wonder if these surgeons are aware of how much make up and contouring can do, it's insane... Unless we got photos without make up I don't think they can say anything for sure.
I think she looks amazing. Any work she's had done is definitely subtle. I had plastic surgery last year to get my eyelids to close all the way over my eyes. I just have large eyes that are hereditary. But I also suffer from chronic dry eye, and the hope was that the surgery would help. I'm not sure how much it's actually helped that, but my eyes now look great and not bulging anymore. So I guess it's still a win.
I was listening to No Doubt when I thought "hey what happened to Gwen Stefani, what is she up to?" so I googled her and found some pictures of her that left me O.O . She was always such a natural beauty and yet I barely recognized her. It would be interesting to get your professional opinion on why she looks so different now !
Obviously a plastic surgeon has a much more sophisticated & practiced eye for these things, but even after he pointed some things out I had a hard time seeing them. I wonder how many pictures from each time period he analyzes, as I see a lot of makeup corrections, like contouring & bronzing. It can make a dramatic difference without surgery, especially in the cheeks and nose. I’ve seen some pictures where I’d swear people had rhinoplasty but they had just contoured very well. Either way, this is a fun channel and very informative as well.
Come on. The ridge of her brows has changed shape and distance from the eyes. Her face looks very different but still very natural. Nothing looks fake.
I feel like whenever you see a celebrity and still recognize them easily, without plastic surgery being the first thing you think about, that's when I think their beauty procedures were successfully done. I mean, the ultimate goal is to enhance your natural features and beauty, not to make you look like an alien. I'm thinking on doing some stuff myself, and Taylor and other celebrities are my inspiration to go after subtle and small changes, but I will wait until I reach my thirties and my age starts to show up. I had a nose job one year ago, and my advice to everyone here is to wait as much as you can and need to be fully convinced about the changes you'll make. Waiting for my surgery actually helped me to discard two more procedures that I wanted and were going to completely change my profile.

Yea it’s hard to tell if it’s surgery or aging. I used to have eyes like hers when I was young, and now that I’m older my face has naturally lost fat and changed a lot, similar to hers. My broke ass can’t afford rent, none the less surgery, so if it can happen to me I’d say it can happen to anyone just as a natural aging process.
The very minimum....I see the differences he pointed out. The best part? She still looks like 'herself', she started so young that it almost looks like she naturally aged like this...there is no hiding or denying changes when we see the teen face onwards. Much like Scarlett Johansson's face...but Scarletts changes are much more noticeable. Can't lie ladies! & They both look great
I think the changes in 2017 were just because she gained a healthy amount of weight. I also think the brow lift may have happened in 2012 when she got bangs (to maybe cover the scar). She also had over three months off tour before she came back with new hair, so if she was gonna do it, that would be the smartest time. 😬

It’s merely speculation, but I think the Vogue photo shoot was to debut her new “look.” In those photos if I’m not mistaken, it looks like she has lip filler as well as her eyes being a bit wider. I know she expressed insecurity over her eyes during an interview in the Fearless era. It’s just my speculation, she had them “fixed.” Definitely not a fact, but I don’t think she would admit to it either since, especially during that time, her public image was all about being the relatable, all-American-girl-next-door type. She said people made fun of her for her squinty eyes, but then if she admitted to having surgery, I’m sure people would criticize her for that too. In her own words, “it’s all just fucking impossible.”
I can’t help but love the work that Taylor has had done. Don’t get m wrong, she’s always been beautiful (before and after she’s had work done), but with the work she’s had done she still looks like herself but her beautiful features are emphasized even more. If you have the money and access to a great plastic surgeon, why not do what she did? The women looks amazing!
I think you forgot veneers. At 13 I think most people already have all of their visible permanent teeth. I also believe at times she has been very thin, which might show differences in her face.
Unlike most girls, I didn’t reach facial or body maturity at 16. I kept growing until 19.. height and breasts and didn’t lose my chipmunk cheeks until my late 20s. People probably think I’ve had work done as I’ve gotten older but I haven’t and my face has changed a lot, for the better. The most I do is a bit of Botox and a yearly acid peel. Having cheekbones is wonderful! 😂
Are you tall? Because I was the same way. I looked nkticably different at 19 or 20 than I did at 16. Not just the added height, but my face slimmed down and changed.

It seems to me that most girls reach their maturity around 19-20, not 16 at all. At least that's what me, my sister and my female students experienced.
Same here, I'm 5'9 and reached that at 19. I was 5'2 till 16 when I grew to 5'6 but kept going at a slower pace. The changes he talked about in the eyes and cheeks happened to me in my mid 20's just naturally. I also have a heart shaped face and had sincere chipmunk cheeks in highschool.

Watching these videos just make me think about how I would not want to touch my face. As a chronically ill person with a possibility of surgeries in the near future, I just cannot imagine going through it just for cosmetic purposes. But that’s just my approach.
At age 26, I'd argue what differences could be there are makeup and camera angle/lighting. However, regardless, she's a beautiful woman and I hope she continues to have a successful/wonderful life.
true. I see a lot of influencers eyes change because of makeup. Just so you know that surgery and makeup are different forms of art. Just because a plastic surgeon senses a slight difference that could be because of camera angle or makeup. We do not know.
This makes sense because I remember that her face used to look way more compact (sleepy) in the eye section and she had more bulbous nose. Now, here eye section is way more open (alert) and her nose is more refined. It changed very gradually but it's not the same face. Every now and again, I'll see an old picture of Taylor and remember how she originally looked.
idk, with hooded eyes, it's hard to say sometimes. i've lost a lot of the fat pad under my brow as i've aged, so my eyes have become much less hooded as a result. i also "train" my facial muscles to lift my brows. it seems to me that taylor does this too, or does it with botox, because sometimes her eyes look more hooded than other times. just at the AMAs, they looked more hooded again. this inconsistency tells me that it's her facial muscles.
The problem is we see beauty ideals in unnatural, post surgery people. Those people don't share about these procedures, making themselves into Instagram perfect role models while deluding us and especially young women.
The only thing that jumps out to me about Taylor is the breast implants. She probably had some minimal nose work done but I think a lot of the change is just losing the baby fat. Whatever she had done was minimal
I would like to say, as an artist, you've been incredibly helpful in my work. I've watched a few of these videos, and the way you gently and professionally point out different features has given me a much more in-depth understanding of proportions. Very nice.
He talked about it in the Kendall Jenner video! He said we don’t know how they’ll age with all those surgeries because well, procedures done this much is a relatively new thing and we haven’t seen it age on people yet..
Honestly didn't notice most of these, could have just been angle/lighting IMO. What I'm surprised never came up is the eyebrows. Her eyebrows are super angular in those early pictures, like a 45 degree angle with the top of her bridge. That seems to soften over time. Maybe just makeup trends?
Doc. She did have 2 breast surgeries. One where the silicone was too hard, and the new ones, her breasts are bigger and look more natural, something like what Kylie Jenner had done. I enjoy listening to the way you describe all the facial features. My daughter when she was a child, had this thing where she always commented about people’s head shapes which I always thought was funny but weird, like who looks at someone’s head shape? Surprisingly, what she said actually made sense but it just wasn’t something I ever really noticed about anyone unless their head was super flat or something.
I'm starting to suspect the two types of people who look at head shapes are surgeons and artists. Videos like this help me be more aware of how I draw people and ways I can differentiate between original characters.
I think Taylor has done some eye job as doctor suggested as I have been noticing the same from past few years as compared to her teen pictures. About her nose.. surgery could be possible. However, when I was a teen (now, 25), my nose was not slim which got slimmer now, the bridge is more prominent as it was before and I also lost the baby fat on face. I have a proper jaw line as well.. so some of these changes might be because of ageing and not surgery. And even if she had done.. it’s completely her choice. :)
You're not wrong. I had a friend who worked behind the scenes in TV and movies and he said that in person most of these celebrities aren't necessarily unfathomably gorgeous, but that they have exaggerated features and that translates well to film. Still very attractive people, of course, just different than many people would probably assume.
Whatever she may have had done looks very natural, there’s really not huge differences. You see a picture of her now and picture of her then, you really almost think that she has aged wrather than having surgery!

Whatever she did, or didn’t do it looks well done. My face thinned, naturally at age 30 and my cheekbones became more prominent. I have nothing against a little bit of plastic surgery but I wish the Kardashians would go away since everyone is starting to look like them. Also,you can’t have more than two facelifts, or you start looking like an alien; see Madonna and Demi Moore.
The thing is ALL the things he said can be changed by makeup. If he would’ve compared with pictures of her without makeup then I would believe it.The only thing TS has admitted is the nose thing.
I have not had a single cosmetic procedure but if I sent in a picture of myself at 19 and 32 I'm sure everyone will notice all of these minor procedures I have supposedly had. Most I the small changes in Taylors face look like a combo of natural aging, a bit of photo editing, and different makeup trends that fall in and out of fashion.

All the makeup artists and photoshoppers contouring your 'wide' nose, 'chubby' cheeks, and adding volume to your lips, etc. And when you're famous enough to be lent dresses for events but not famous enough to have them custom made, the only ones available are sample or runway sizes, and the only alteration allowed is the hem length. Not to mention all the micro-analysis on social media, and the micro-interest in whether you've had anything 'done'. And remember that she was a freaking teenager when she was first hit with all this. It's astonishing that body dysmorphia is the 'only' thing she's suffered from - that we know of, anyway. Not only is she talented and an amazing marketing-businesswoman, she's got a spine of steel.
I saw some eye changes and it’s possible some of them were more for comfort reasons. I have a similar issue where I have a lot of skin falling on my lid which makes it more tiresome to keep the eyes open, and I’m strongly considering a browlift when I have a stable income, just to take some weight off of the eyes

She’s in her early 30s, imo something like chemical peeling is enough to keep the lines very subtle, she probably had an amazing skincare routine since very early on and prevention is always better than correction.
As an Esthetician who is 36 and gets asked of I'm in my 20s often, I'd say she probably stays out of the sun, uses retinoids, gets regular facials and maybe chemical peels as well as botox in the forehead and maybe around the eyes but as of now it just looks like forehead to me ❤
idk i'm 58 & have very smooth even complexion w few noticeable wrinkles even w no makeup. and i majorly abused the sun and tanning beds in my 20s and 30s. i don't even do much to it. cetaphil witch hazel & occasiovaly i'll use a serum or cream, but mostly i do nothing & rarely even wear makeup. i don't look like a super model but my skins good fory age. think genetics play a large part.
I remember as a teen seeing Taylor when she was young, and thinking she's not my type. I didn't find her attractive. Now I do, and I was always confused. Like she gets better looking with age.
I personally thought it was just the process of aging. When I was young until my late teen years, my eye shape was a lot thinner. Now in my thirties, my eyes are naturally more open and rounder.
If she has indeed had procedures, they’ve been done SO well. She still looks natural, still has movement and expression in her face, and most importantly she still resembles her teenage self. I’m all for enhancing looks if it will result in a confidence boost - more power to Taylor if that’s what she’s done!

That's so interesting, I never would have spotted any of those surgeries! I always thought the minor changes were just because of aging and losing the baby fat in her face. I think all the procedures she may have had look very natural and I'm glad she isn't changing her face completely like many other beautiful celebrities.
thats because they are mainly changes due to aging and body weight changes, you can see that many of the procedures suggested are only noticed in the photos he mentions. For example you can see that her eyes are completely the same in the comparison pictures (the brows have the same definition, same height, the cat eye looks the same if we don't take the make up into account, etc). To me the nose looks completely the same too.

I’m a fan of Taylor Swift since 2007 when I just turned 16 and I knew she had some enhancements. I’m also kinda obsessed about spotting plastic surgery procedures celebrities have had. And I’m thanking this doctor for being honest. Some doctors aren’t as bold as him because probably am don’t want to be cancelled or bashed by her fans. This helps raise awareness so youngsters won’t set high standards for themselves.

What I see is she mostly tries to maintain her youth with the plastic surgeries. At Age 24 she did started to look be aged. I remembered years ago I felt like she looked like the type who would naturally age fast because of how fast she naturally changed at 24. Then she looked more youthful at age 26.
She looks like her which is good but most people who undergo plastic surgery usually start small to maintain their looks and would go the extreme when they get older hoping to stay youthful but they just can't stop time of aging no matter what they do.
Hopefully she just accepts to age gracefully and not do more with surgeries.

Meh. It doesn't affect me in any way. I literally look at myself in the mirror everyday and think "wow, you sexy." I've never had anything done and I'm 41. I wouldn't call her supermodel gorgeous bc her face type isn't typical you see in fashion models (I used to consume lots of fashion content with models). She looks more like actress level pretty. But she knows how to play up her best features with makeup, not to mention she hides her big, wide forehead with strategically placed bangs. Actually her head and face is unusually large along with wide mid section. But she draws attention to her lips and eyes with makeup. It's all just strategic styling. Just like her friend Sel who also has a big forehead and now a receading hairline that starts too far up, that you wouldn't have even noticed when she was a teenager who always bangs. I too look cuter with bangs it helps hide undesirable parts, like weird uneven hairlines. You're not less attractive than celebs you're just not employing their intentional tactics
I'd love for you to mention veneers more or bring a dentist on to talk about how they can change the shape and maturity of your face, especially when they're too large. Hilary Duff and Kid Cudi come to mind because they both came out with veneers WAY too big for their faces at one point.

I recall seeing footage, and photos of Taylor Swift on the Grammys red carpet with Selena Gomez which prompted me to look at Taylor's face differently. I couldn't put my finger on it, she just looked different from that point on.
It's clear to me that she got plastic surgery on her eyes. Her original eye shape was unique. Small squinty almond shaped eyes. I think it was her best feature.
She approached plastic surgery the "right" way. She did it in moderation.
I picked up on the brow lift/blepharoplasty stuff because she used to have more narrow eyes and the difference is noticeable. (My best friend called her "Squinty Swift" back in the day, lol.) I really think her work was incredibly tasteful and artistic, a real improvement to her looks without actually changing her in any fundamental way. She still looks exactly like herself, but better. More stars should emulate her.

Is no one going to address the multiple versions of veneers she’s had done and replaced over the years?? At least 2 sets were far too big for her mouth, and greatly affected the forward projection of her lower face and cheek appearance. She's definitely had her eyes done. I remember when she first started hitting the big time I thought she had the smallest eyes even in proportion to her petite face. Pretty but small. Somehow they're now rounder and you can see more of the whites of her eyes even with heavy makeup. Can't explain that away with weight change or natural aging

Knowing now that she was suffering with an eating disorder I can look at photos of that period in the same way, glad that she not only got treatment but openly talks about it.

I would love to see a video where both you and a professional make up artist discuss a celebrities facial changes! It would be interesting to hear both perspectives. Because makeup artists definitely have many tricks to create shadows etc that make faces appear different, especially in still image. It would be cool to hear you say “This appears sharper” and then you could say how it could have been achieved in surgery, and a makeup artist could say how it could be temporarily achieved in a photo with makeup. Personally, I think Taylor’s changes are the result of age, the makeup changes & trends used over 13 years, and weight changes. If you look at a greater range of photos, there are also make up looks in earlier years 1989 and earlier, where her eyes look exactly the same as now. It depended on her eye makeup. Similarly, some looks now show her eyes smaller with more eyeliner. But if she has had any work, it’s subtle and looks great. I love how professional, tasteful, and informative you are your videos. It’s helpful that you don’t ‘dumb it down’, but actually refer to the anatomy and list the options for what changes could be attributed to. You never deliver videos in a way where the attitude is like “gotcha!” towards celebrities.

So much this. I love these videos but I think a LOT of plastic surgeons chalk any minor change up to surgery when in reality these celebrities don’t have (proper) pictures taken without makeup on.
Every time they mention “very subtle” surgeries, I’m skeptical and instantly think maybe the makeup artist was the “surgeon “. Like, why have a surgery when you have your own makeup artist…?
I would love to see this because I always wonder if these surgeons are aware of how much make up and contouring can do, it's insane... Unless we got photos without make up I don't think they can say anything for sure.

I think she looks amazing. Any work she's had done is definitely subtle. I had plastic surgery last year to get my eyelids to close all the way over my eyes. I just have large eyes that are hereditary. But I also suffer from chronic dry eye, and the hope was that the surgery would help. I'm not sure how much it's actually helped that, but my eyes now look great and not bulging anymore. So I guess it's still a win.

Obviously a plastic surgeon has a much more sophisticated & practiced eye for these things, but even after he pointed some things out I had a hard time seeing them. I wonder how many pictures from each time period he analyzes, as I see a lot of makeup corrections, like contouring & bronzing. It can make a dramatic difference without surgery, especially in the cheeks and nose. I’ve seen some pictures where I’d swear people had rhinoplasty but they had just contoured very well.

I mean, the ultimate goal is to enhance your natural features and beauty, not to make you look like an alien.
I'm thinking on doing some stuff myself, and Taylor and other celebrities are my inspiration to go after subtle and small changes, but I will wait until I reach my thirties and my age starts to show up.
I had a nose job one year ago, and my advice to everyone here is to wait as much as you can and need to be fully convinced about the changes you'll make. Waiting for my surgery actually helped me to discard two more procedures that I wanted and were going to completely change my profile.
She does look different from age 19 but not sure if it is due to plastic surgery or aging. Her face was absolutely perfect I would have never done any surgical procedures to it 🥰
Then we also have to remember she had disordered eating at one point which left her significantly thinner than past and present.

Yea it’s hard to tell if it’s surgery or aging. I used to have eyes like hers when I was young, and now that I’m older my face has naturally lost fat and changed a lot, similar to hers. My broke ass can’t afford rent, none the less surgery, so if it can happen to me I’d say it can happen to anyone just as a natural aging process.

The very minimum....I see the differences he pointed out. The best part? She still looks like 'herself', she started so young that it almost looks like she naturally aged like this...there is no hiding or denying changes when we see the teen face onwards.
Much like Scarlett Johansson's face...but Scarletts changes are much more noticeable.

She didn't do anything heavy or extreme to her face. Also, she didn't start so young. She looks healthy, and she is aging gracefully.
I think the changes in 2017 were just because she gained a healthy amount of weight. I also think the brow lift may have happened in 2012 when she got bangs (to maybe cover the scar). She also had over three months off tour before she came back with new hair, so if she was gonna do it, that would be the smartest time. 😬
Taylor gained weight, but not enough to change her entire face, especially her eyes.

It’s merely speculation, but I think the Vogue photo shoot was to debut her new “look.” In those photos if I’m not mistaken, it looks like she has lip filler as well as her eyes being a bit wider. I know she expressed insecurity over her eyes during an interview in the Fearless era. It’s just my speculation, she had them “fixed.” Definitely not a fact, but I don’t think she would admit to it either since, especially during that time, her public image was all about being the relatable, all-American-girl-next-door type. She said people made fun of her for her squinty eyes, but then if she admitted to having surgery, I’m sure people would criticize her for that too. In her own words, “it’s all just fucking impossible.”

I can’t help but love the work that Taylor has had done. Don’t get m wrong, she’s always been beautiful (before and after she’s had work done), but with the work she’s had done she still looks like herself but her beautiful features are emphasized even more. If you have the money and access to a great plastic surgeon, why not do what she did? The women looks amazing!

I think you forgot veneers. At 13 I think most people already have all of their visible permanent teeth. I also believe at times she has been very thin, which might show differences in her face.
Unlike most girls, I didn’t reach facial or body maturity at 16. I kept growing until 19.. height and breasts and didn’t lose my chipmunk cheeks until my late 20s. People probably think I’ve had work done as I’ve gotten older but I haven’t and my face has changed a lot, for the better. The most I do is a bit of Botox and a yearly acid peel. Having cheekbones is wonderful! 😂
Are you tall? Because I was the same way. I looked nkticably different at 19 or 20 than I did at 16. Not just the added height, but my face slimmed down and changed.

It seems to me that most girls reach their maturity around 19-20, not 16 at all. At least that's what me, my sister and my female students experienced.
Same here, I'm 5'9 and reached that at 19. I was 5'2 till 16 when I grew to 5'6 but kept going at a slower pace. The changes he talked about in the eyes and cheeks happened to me in my mid 20's just naturally. I also have a heart shaped face and had sincere chipmunk cheeks in highschool.

Watching these videos just make me think about how I would not want to touch my face. As a chronically ill person with a possibility of surgeries in the near future, I just cannot imagine going through it just for cosmetic purposes. But that’s just my approach.
At age 26, I'd argue what differences could be there are makeup and camera angle/lighting. However, regardless, she's a beautiful woman and I hope she continues to have a successful/wonderful life.
Just came here to say this! Makeup trends shifted quite a bit around this point to enhance eyes to make them appear bigger and pop.
true. I see a lot of influencers eyes change because of makeup. Just so you know that surgery and makeup are different forms of art. Just because a plastic surgeon senses a slight difference that could be because of camera angle or makeup. We do not know.
I’m obsessed with her face shape - her V line is amazing
This makes sense because I remember that her face used to look way more compact (sleepy) in the eye section and she had more bulbous nose. Now, here eye section is way more open (alert) and her nose is more refined. It changed very gradually but it's not the same face. Every now and again, I'll see an old picture of Taylor and remember how she originally looked.
I actually liked her more squinting natural eyes. Kind of looked like she was always smiling even when she wasn't. And her lips stood out more.

idk, with hooded eyes, it's hard to say sometimes. i've lost a lot of the fat pad under my brow as i've aged, so my eyes have become much less hooded as a result. i also "train" my facial muscles to lift my brows. it seems to me that taylor does this too, or does it with botox, because sometimes her eyes look more hooded than other times. just at the AMAs, they looked more hooded again. this inconsistency tells me that it's her facial muscles.

The problem is we see beauty ideals in unnatural, post surgery people. Those people don't share about these procedures, making themselves into Instagram perfect role models while deluding us and especially young women.

The only thing that jumps out to me about Taylor is the breast implants. She probably had some minimal nose work done but I think a lot of the change is just losing the baby fat. Whatever she had done was minimal
I don't think she's had implants. She went from a size 00 to a size 6. Her boobs got bigger.

Honestly didn't notice most of these, could have just been angle/lighting IMO. What I'm surprised never came up is the eyebrows. Her eyebrows are super angular in those early pictures, like a 45 degree angle with the top of her bridge. That seems to soften over time. Maybe just makeup trends?
Doc. She did have 2 breast surgeries. One where the silicone was too hard, and the new ones, her breasts are bigger and look more natural, something like what Kylie Jenner had done. Tbh, breasts shrink and grow due to weight loss and weight gain. But she was flat chested before in 2012 so I think she’s had one breast augmentation
I enjoy listening to the way you describe all the facial features. My daughter when she was a child, had this thing where she always commented about people’s head shapes which I always thought was funny but weird, like who looks at someone’s head shape? Surprisingly, what she said actually made sense but it just wasn’t something I ever really noticed about anyone unless their head was super flat or something.
I'm starting to suspect the two types of people who look at head shapes are surgeons and artists. Videos like this help me be more aware of how I draw people and ways I can differentiate between original characters.

I think Taylor has done some eye job as doctor suggested as I have been noticing the same from past few years as compared to her teen pictures. About her nose.. surgery could be possible. However, when I was a teen (now, 25), my nose was not slim which got slimmer now, the bridge is more prominent as it was before and I also lost the baby fat on face. I have a proper jaw line as well.. so some of these changes might be because of ageing and not surgery.
And even if she had done.. it’s completely her choice. :)
It seems like most stars probably looked weird/ picked on as a kid. But somehow, the look is just right for the movies/tv.
You're not wrong. I had a friend who worked behind the scenes in TV and movies and he said that in person most of these celebrities aren't necessarily unfathomably gorgeous, but that they have exaggerated features and that translates well to film. Still very attractive people, of course, just different than many people would probably assume.

Whatever she may have had done looks very natural, there’s really not huge differences. You see a picture of her now and picture of her then, you really almost think that she has aged wrather than having surgery!

I have nothing against a little bit of plastic surgery but I wish the Kardashians would go away since everyone is starting to look like them. Also,you can’t have more than two facelifts, or you start looking like an alien; see Madonna and Demi Moore.
The thing is ALL the things he said can be changed by makeup. If he would’ve compared with pictures of her without makeup then I would believe it.The only thing TS has admitted is the nose thing.

I have not had a single cosmetic procedure but if I sent in a picture of myself at 19 and 32 I'm sure everyone will notice all of these minor procedures I have supposedly had. Most I the small changes in Taylors face look like a combo of natural aging, a bit of photo editing, and different makeup trends that fall in and out of fashion.

Can you imagine the pressure to perfect yourself as a celebrity? All the makeup artists and photoshoppers contouring your 'wide' nose, 'chubby' cheeks, and adding volume to your lips, etc. And when you're famous enough to be lent dresses for events but not famous enough to have them custom made, the only ones available are sample or runway sizes, and the only alteration allowed is the hem length. Not to mention all the micro-analysis on social media, and the micro-interest in whether you've had anything 'done'. And remember that she was a freaking teenager when she was first hit with all this. It's astonishing that body dysmorphia is the 'only' thing she's suffered from - that we know of, anyway. Not only is she talented and an amazing marketing-businesswoman, she's got a spine of steel.

I saw some eye changes and it’s possible some of them were more for comfort reasons. I have a similar issue where I have a lot of skin falling on my lid which makes it more tiresome to keep the eyes open, and I’m strongly considering a browlift when I have a stable income, just to take some weight off of the eyes

She’s in her early 30s, imo something like chemical peeling is enough to keep the lines very subtle, she probably had an amazing skincare routine since very early on and prevention is always better than correction.
As an Esthetician who is 36 and gets asked of I'm in my 20s often, I'd say she probably stays out of the sun, uses retinoids, gets regular facials and maybe chemical peels as well as botox in the forehead and maybe around the eyes but as of now it just looks like forehead to me ❤
idk i'm 58 & have very smooth even complexion w few noticeable wrinkles even w no makeup. and i majorly abused the sun and tanning beds in my 20s and 30s. i don't even do much to it. cetaphil witch hazel & occasiovaly i'll use a serum or cream, but mostly i do nothing & rarely even wear makeup. i don't look like a super model but my skins good fory age. think genetics play a large part.

I personally thought it was just the process of aging. When I was young until my late teen years, my eye shape was a lot thinner. Now in my thirties, my eyes are naturally more open and rounder.
