I think it's interesting how a lot of the celebrities that look young at an older age also looked much older at a young age.

Happened to me too, I looked older as a teen . I had dramatic features and white skin dark hair and eyes, so I looked severe. It’s softened over time and I look so much younger pushing 50

I think that's precisely why she's looked attractive for so long. I think the less procedures you do, and more you just take care of your body, health and diet. The more gracefully you age.

She did say that she went through that to make sure her children had her as their mother and so they wouldn’t lose her too soon. Angelina‘s mother died of breast cancer at a young age and apparently Angelina inherited Something from her mother.
She has one of the BRCA gene mutations. I think Gilda Radner had the mutation.

It’s is disputed about whether or not mastectomies work to prevent cancer. This is an extremely drastic measure and may be totally unnecessary. As are frequent mammograms (the radiation exposure is dangerous and may cause cancer). Reduce sugar intake, alcohol and smoking, and increase exercise to keep healthy. We are still learning about cancer.

I like that you tell about how the face naturally changes in various ways as people age. Not everything is plastic surgery.
The jaw can also square off more for woman when they age, as it does for men. When she was 18 she had more oval face, BUT you could see the slight squareness of the jaw. It's pronounced more now. I don't think she's done anything other than a little botox, if that.
@@SamLA342 Yeah, young people have "baby fat". And a bunch of other things can change the face. I have had problems with my jaw joints since my 20's and as a result I have some "overly developed" muscles in/on my face. They've grown to kind of compensate and protect my jaw. It doesn't look like anything weird but had definitely changed how I look. Also I always wonder about the claims of nose jobs directed at celebrities. I don't think it's at all uncommon for the nose to appear to become smaller as people age. Probably the nose stays pretty much the same but the face around it changes.
And how much weight gain and loss show on someone face is super individual.
I'm overweight and I'm always bummed I'm not those lucky ones whose weight hardly shows on their face. I quite like my round body but a fat face doesn't look good on me 😅
Not to mention the power of makeup. Comparison pictures should be from several different identical angles. People need to check out a couple of Asian extreme makeup change videos and what drag queens do.
He is a doctor he can differentiate between natural and plastic surgery. Botox is the most obvious plastic surgery cause you numb the muscle in that particular area.

I think we overlook the surgeries she had, mastectomy , hysterectomy that induced early menopause and extreme hormonal changes. She's very brave.
I highly doubt she didn’t get hormone replacement to avoid early menopause.

She filled up some upper lip a bit early. As you can notice from the video, the doctor said she admitted to some silicone injections.

Unlike most of the celebrities who went under the knife, she was extremely beautiful to begin with. Surgery simply enhanced her beauty as she aged but didn't change her look at all. I'm so jealous.

Jolie's health issues aside and the proleptic surgeries she had to have and endure (for which I wish her well), it is rather silly to talk of 'natural beauty' when Jolie hit the plastic surgery table in her 30s and has continually been going back for more. If she is someone's idea of great beauty, well and good (personally I never found her all that appealing), but a 'natural beauty' she is most definitely not.
I went to high school with her mother (Chicago area), until junior year when she and her family moved to California. Angelina looks so very much like her mother (very full lips…). BTW, Marsha was extremely nice and kind. She was also somewhat shy. Marsha passed away at the age of 50.
That is so cool!! Could you have ever imagined that the young girl you knew in school would some day have a daughter the entire world would know?! Part of me feels like Angie is the reason the lip filler trend began...so many women wanted to look like her.

I've always thought Angelina was perfection from the beginning and she gets more beautiful with age. Her eyes are absolutely gorgeous. She seems to have found herself since her beloved mother's passing and the birth and adoption of her children.

She did it right. Subtle, natural, pretty. I do remember a time she was looking really wrinkly, but when she came out promoting the Eternals, wow! She really turned the clock back and just looked like a smoother version of herself. Gorgeous!
I dont think she would have been really wrinkly at her age. She had a health scare and stressful marriage and lost a lot of weight, skinny people look like that.

Angelina is so naturally beautiful with a spectacular bone structure that through the years a few plastic interventions were needed to maintain her stunning features. Everything is subtle and on the conservatory side of the spectrum. Plastic surgery at it best. 😎😍

I appreciate how you speak really specifically about landmarks on the face, such as how much of her teeth show when she smiles, 08:22 about signs around the ear and baby hairs that she may have had a facelift, etc. Some other commentaries about celebrities will say things like "her brows look higher" but without taking into account the fact you can just draw your eyebrows on higher, makeup contouring, lighting, so on.
(timestamp 5mins in) I feel like pregnancy and post pregnancy will heavily alter the face too. I remember my sister's face looking dramatically different throughout the phases of pregnancy and it took a solid year-ish too for her face to appear how it had prior to the birth of her child.
I just think people forget how much water retention and fat a baby can give or take from you and water retention will heavily effect how the face appears. it's one of the ways my partner can tell if i have eaten gluten (as a celiac) my face (and body) will bloat heavily and i look significantly different.

I agree and can attest to that! I was an avid sun-worshipper all throughout my 20s and into my late 30s and never once used sunscreen. But following a diagnosis of an autoimmune disease that requires me to avoid sun, I started using sunscreen and never stay out in direct sunlight and my skin has aged reversely. It's incredible! People tell me I look younger than I did 10 years ago. So there's a silver lining to everything...

I *really* appreciate that you point out make-up contouring, photo angle and possible editing. @7:04 I'm seeing an narrow indent down the bridge that looks different than makeup application which can occur after a decade of rhinoplasty as the nose surgery settles. I'm also seeing the left side of her nose a little more recessed, which could also be from rhinoplasty settling, but maybe also the light seems to be coming from the opposite direction so maybe it's shadow from lighting.

Angelina and Jennifer Lopez must have went to the best plastic surgeon in the world. They both look fantastic and hid any cosmetic surgery they had pretty well. Knowing my luck, I would come out of surgery looking like Jocelyn Wildenstein.

there is a huge difference between 2018 and 2019 and it seems that she had a kind of facelift. or maybe because of some filler? she has stated to become a specific arteficial "line" under her cheeks frpm the mouthto the ears as she had got i tucked. she started to get this typical after nip tuck look which become very strange over years.
She just have really great genes. Her mom and biological daughter are both naturally beautiful.

I think a big problem is her ongoing eating disorder and the loss of body fat overall. It has made her much more gaunt in the face than she might have been otherwise, and between that and her smoking cigarettes, it's aging her quite a bit these days. Bad habits do catch up to us all in time.

As you age you also lose body fat and elasticity, so with her eating disorder her face around the cheek area became more hollow. Sometimes the makeup countering around that area make it look more sharp and softer on the upper cheeks (especially when she smiles). Overall she’s beautiful.

Your sisters are lucky women to look so good, and I'm sure they're not mad about it. lol You'll be there too, and you'll also be lucky to be blessed with those genetics. Some of us lose our youths fast. Just because it's common doesn't mean we shouldn't feel happy when we keep our looks. Myself, people think I look ten years younger than I am, and although I'm only 31, I'll be very happy that I look good even when my age starts to creep in.

At 5:52 you mentioned how a reduction in bone density held an equivalence with a loss of bone volume. I wasn't aware of that as I assumed the loss of density simply results in a weaker structure rather than a different morphology. Or, does this loss in density manifest as an inability of the skeletal structure to maintain it's shape?

She added the huge eyebrows which do not suit most women as it makes you look more masculine unless your eyebrows are naturally strong.

She has been always a roll model to me. I have always loveded her as a person at all the stages of her life. Whatever she may have done is how it should be done, preserving the looks and mininmal when necessary not doing a make over and not looking like herself at all.

So my right brow is higher than my left. I had a retinal detachment for long enough that it changed how I use my face, as I will close the right eye to read, and that eyebrow skew was the result of that.

Dr can you please analyze Avril Lavigne? She’s in her late 30s and seems to be a vampire. My guess would be a rhinoplasty when she was younger, but her skin stumps me. Avril claims her skincare is simply staying out of the sun.
That would be an interesting video. As a 42 year old that has to bring her ID with her to buy wine, I can certainly vouch for Avril with respect to protecting your skin from the sun. I had skin cancer (melanoma) at 23 years old so I have to be careful with the sun but I'm a natural night owl from the north of Scotland so it's not such a big sacrifice for me!
She had a recent boob job,which I was shocked she did given she has an autoimmune illness (lymes) breast implant illness is so common and would effect her more than likely. I noticed on her FB pics from a photo shoot. I'm sure she's had filled and botox as well
People wont believe how just by avoiding the sun most of ur lifetime can payoff later...i always get guessed at age around 25 when people see,but when they see my oldest son(12) with me they ask and qre shocked when i say 42 and im too brooke for surgery😅🤣
I live in Central Europe and I stay out of the sun in summer and wear SPF50 every day. Add to that good genes and I look ten years younger. I’m in my 30s. Some people just get lucky.
I am sure that keeping out of the sun and her genes helped. Fair skin.

I love Angelina Jolie and think she has always been beautiful , as she just has good genes and good bone structure. The minimal amount of work she had done i couldnt tell up until now and she will always be beautiful .God bless her always.🌹💖💖🎉

I’m also sitting here wondering here what you’d say about my face .. .. in 2017 at age 40 , she has had significant facial droop.. now at age 44 …. ??? She spent all her life in the sun . An example of what not to do.. with significant facial jowling happening around this time .. sigh..
She also lost a considerable amount of weight between her twenties and into her forties. I think that should be taken into account for Her cheek bones being so prominent. Still a very beautiful woman who ages nicely

I am doing facial training for more than three years via a viber groupc- started during COVID. An hour of training/week of all the muscles of the face, namely 7 major areas. It is amazing how it lits the face. Its not a commercial - but as I can see actresses are strugelling compensating gravity. Gravity can be fight against with strenthening the natural muscle structure of the face. Just like any other kind of workout. Cheers!
