- On June 28. King County Sheriff's Office Guardian 1 assisted Kent Police with a pursuit of a DUI suspect. During the pursuit, the suspect crashed and fled on foot. Guardian 1 followed the suspect as he ran through several apartment complexes and into a backyard where he hid in a top-open freezer.
He was later taken into custody by Kent Police and treated by medics on scene.
We need many more videos from this channel !!
Love these air pursuits. The technology is great.
Agreed.
To everyone with the King County Sheriff Air Support…major respect.
Best Air Support channel on TH-cam 👍. Thank You!
I had the opportunity to do a ride along with Phoenix PD Air 5. A high speed pursuit turned in to a foot pursuit. The suspect decided it was a good idea to start jumping fences into backyards. The only problem with that is every backyard had one or two dogs. He finally jumped in to a yard he couldn't get out of and that yard had two Rottweilers. You Air Support guys rock. Oh, there is a moral to the story. Get a dog.
Appreciate your services ladies, and gentlemen ,,stay safe and healthy❣️✌️😬👍
That helo crew was excellent--very impressive. The ground guys were likewise great.
Much love to the men and woman in blue. God bless 🙏
A little frozen treat for the pup
😂
Go get ‘em!!!
Awesome work guys!!!!
this was a 14 year old that was declined from being accepted at the juvenile detention center, and you wonder why these kids do these crimes with no repercussions.
38 minutes in a freezer after running like that… I’d bet he regretted his choice of hiding spot
What was Usain Bolt doing in King County 😆 dude was quick on his feet!
Dude had cardio 😂
Can't believe how early I am love when this channel posts
good teamwork congratulations!
Great channel. Thanks for the upload! I was delighted to get a notification of a new video to watch! Looking forwarding to more of them!
Looks like the K9 got to enjoy a popsicle in the summer heat!
Revealing my age - 1970 - The Temptations - Ball of Confusion "Run, run, run but you sure can't hide". Good work everybody. 🚓
I got a notification on my Kent PD Facebook feed about this one. Kinda cool to put the 2 stories together! 14 year old kid DUI, etc. Who is taking care of these kids? Mobsters??
ty for video
16:25 The puppy's tail is wagging. It looks like he got a new chew toy!!!!
Bork Bork Nom Nom!!!
For a drunk, that dude sure could move… quickly… in a straight line… Great job everyone!
God's work 💪❤✝
You guys ROCK!
Glad the dog got to take a bite out of crime!
شكرا 🙏
Love these videos
How did he not see the chopper? If I ever heard a heli while I was running, I'd give up, no way.
Probably a drone much quieter
@@hevado01 its a helicopter
LOVE them machines when they fly overhead and coming back into Renton! That thump, ya can feel it...
Love it. Great job!
Great Job!
Great stuff. First time here. Crazy thought and maybe cost is too prohibitive but how good would it be if air support could tag the perp/location and it showed up on the minimap for others aka COD/Apex etc - at this early stage in tech either on their car's computer or their iphones or whatever they have....
tf took them so long to move in after they had him cornered?
he had a handgun
@@maxman126 ohhh, was he black?
@@WessyD123 well well well
@@moment189 Dose of Crown?
They had to clear out adjacent units, get a K9, clear a path of fire in case of a gun battle. Basically try to keep people as safe as possible from someone who decided to disrupt their night.
The suspect was a juvenile, he was denied booking by the Juvenile detention center and released to a parent.
Love the intro
The beginning of the video sounded like San Andrea's theme song 😂
😂😂😂 this is funny to watch him slowly get worn out.
Police poodle at last bites the bad guy, and that is magnificent.
Just had an idea. What if yall could securely live stream so officers could get a nearly live view of what you see from anywhere via their phone?
Excellent work by the pilot and TFO
This is wwwaaayyyyy too cool.
Awesome vids, I'd however recommend reducing intro to 5 + 5 secs
Hid in a freezer. Well that's new. You can see that freezer heating up in the IR cam. Stay in that long enough and the IR can't see you (theoretically).
The detail with FLIR is superb, watching it heat up!
he really put himself on ice in that freezer?
Nice...love the Hilo vids
The dude could run.
First I thought it's in Britain. He definitely didin't have a loicence for driving that car
Nice use of the spotlight! Great night flying
You will be caught. No matter how long it takes.
Such important info for local and area residents. What about dash cam footage from King County law enforcement agencies? As a South King County resident I would definitely pay attention. Thank you for informing the public of criminal activity.
I paused at 5:06 and the chopper seems at 663 ft. I would think the runner could hear it. I assume all police air units have night vision. Seems like he will be tracked, so why keep running. Then again, it is criminal thinking.
I feel like the police should be using the spotlight when chasing suspects in this situation, it seems like they often surrender to the helicopter.
Maybe it’s to avoid being shot at since they sometimes fly very low. It buys them time for officers to close in on the suspect before aviation/air support reveal their location. Suspects should really assume there might be air support anyway and it’s futile to run.
🙏💙🇨🇦🇺🇲💙🙏
That was cold
Escape Rule No. 201a. You can negotiate and stall the police.
Escape Rule No. 201b. You can not negotiate with the dog.
So all those dudes there and they put the dog on him? Did I miss something
Come on guys. Take him imto custody. Let the dog have him.
Jay Inslee soft on crime, limits cops. Good luck Washington.
Yelling at the screen, he's right there! 😅
He was "declined booking for booking into KC Juvenile Detention." WTF?
KENT, Wash. - Kent police arrested a 14-year-old boy Friday for DUI and eluding after they noticed he was drifting while driving.
A Kent patrol officer was working a DUI and distracted driving emphasis when they noticed a vehicle failing to stop at a stop sign on W Meeker Street.
The officer noticed the driver drifting outside of his lane and attempted to pull him over. The driver slowly ran through a red light and ignored the police vehicle’s lights, according to police.
The officer activated his sirens to get the driver’s attention, but he did not stop. As the driver rounded a corner, he hit the sidewalk and ran another red light. Even after losing a tire, the driver did not stop.
The driver eventually hit a curb causing the vehicle to stop. After the incident the teen got out of the vehicle and began running towards a nearby apartment complex, police said.
According to police, other officers responded to the incident to provide additional assistance. They arrived just as the driver was fleeing.
Kent police said that an officer saw what appeared to be a “handgun in the suspect’s possession as he ran off.” Officers briefly pursued the teen on foot, giving him commands to stop.
The King County Sheriff’s Office Guardian 1 helicopter said that they were able to see the teen jumping fences and trying to hide in a top-opening freezer in someone's backyard.
After using de-escalation techniques and Guardian 1 giving commands on their PA system the teen refused to leave the freezer for over 20 minutes. A Federal Way Police Department K9 team responded, and police were able to take the teen into custody.
Kent police requested a blood warrant to test the teen’s blood for drugs and alcohol. A judge approved the warrant and the teen’s blood was taken at a local hospital.
He was transported to have his fingerprints taken and was released to a parent after “being declined for booking into KC Juvenile Detention.” The case has been sent to the Kent Detective Unit for further investigation.
This isn't as exciting as watching MAGA police pursuits in Arkansas and Georgia, but it's really good, intelligent police work!
Good boy! Yum!
Probably the best aerial law enforcement imagery to date, and previously... The helicopter needs to have a high hover gps lock if the pilot can only do orbits thou.. lol
They have to deal with 2 airports SEA-TAC and Boeing Field. Yes I agree they do great work. And if you didn't know this is about 15 miles south of Seattle.
@@lostboyslive2119don't forget Renton as well as Auburn Municipal
Hey, quick question, Why does guardian fly in circles overhead, when they have eyes on a subject who is stationary, why do they keep circling and not hover from a vantage point where they can clearly see the subject? It seems like circling makes them temporarily loose visual contact repeatedly.. thanks for any responses !!
Don't wanna be a stationary target.
Takes less fuel to fly in circles than to hover and it's easier on the pilots.
@@Retr0racin make sense (fuel savings) they can say out longer that way.
he could have explained it better to them a ton of times, tell them hes on the sidewalks in the middle of all the buildings, tell them he's running down the parking lot, tell them hes running behind the building along the fence, tell them hes running past the dumpsters. they had no idea what this guy was telling them
and feel free to mention those civilians are 10 feet away so they dont get blasted. this is poor
I shocked! I didn't think you could arrest criminals in Washington or Oregon anymore. He must have been a J6'er. Also....That's a back yard? Thats a fifth of the size of the porch that leads to my backyard.
I almost feel sorry for this ding-a-ling because he ain't got a chance!
