Over the course of the full 21 years between 2000 and 2020, the Red State murder rate was still 12% higher than the Blue State murder rate, even when murders in the largest cities in those red states were removed. I stopped reporting crimes about 12-15 years ago. Home and cars broken into, car stolen by a murder suspect, targeted by punks for harassment, gunfire and being told by king county police that I was the problem and needed to do more. Yeah I don’t think so. At least I didn’t have a gun put in my face like my neighbor.
I didn’t either. The judges & prosecutors need replacing. I voted for Jim Ferrell for KC Prosecutor and will again next time. Dump Leesa Manion, let’s get accountability back on the priority list.

Crime is up about 300 to 700 percent over the last 10 years and at least double 3 years ago. King County has many judges who let almost everybody go and the prosecutors do not charge most crimes. The police quit investigating most property crimes or do not have resources. Judges get their ratings from lawyers so when they let everybody go the lawyers give higher ratings. The entire system needs to be changed. The police are great but have limited resources. Not enough jails. And the lack of consequences is known by the criminals. In Kent my ring camera alerts me to stolen cars, packages and property theft every night in just a 3 mile radius. The politicians in Kent are trying but the entire system is messed up. Vote Democrats in and have no consequences! That means more crime and crazier crimes!
It’s not specifically Democrats; it’s “progressives”. A vote for Republicans carries the extreme risk of corruption, and losing our Medicare, social security, public roads, schools, post offices, and every other benefit that comes with being a US citizen, for the benefit of the über rich. Moderate Democrats like Sara Nelson, Bruce Harrell, Ann Davidson are reasonable choices.
