RC4WD MUD SLINGERS! Install On Treal Beadlocks On SCX24 Deadbolt

- Finally got my hands on a set of RC4WD 1.0 Mud Slingers. Put them on Treal aluminum beadlocks and installed on my SCX24 Deadbolt. Didn’t get much run time as I took a spill and bent a axel shaft in record time. The couple of minutes weren’t that impressive. The tall tires gear up the SCX24 really bad so it has very little torque. I could see these burning a motor up quickly but luckily I didn’t make it that far. Broke the truck instead lol. I’ll fix the truck and put a .50 motor in and test it again. Also going to need some weight to offset the lift from the tires.

That’s probably because of the heavy treal wheels not the tires

I like them. Wheel spacers help alot. To funny i have mine mounted on the same Treal wheels!!! I installed them on my Panda and they are perfect for that rig.
Love those wheels! Way better than the RC4WD steel wheels!
@@hobbycollector1392 Good thing about the steelies though, is the width they add to your stance if you mount them backwards (deep dish) They def work awesome for that.
@@donoh3909 I’ve seen a bunch of those like that. I have the steel wheels on a couple of my other trucks but I like the scale look over the functionality of running them backwards.

Thanks! I so want to love these tires but the short run I got out of them wasn’t too impressive. Once I fix the truck and get a little more drive time maybe I’ll change my mind 🤞🏻
Yea I bought the scramblers from RC4wd fot my Scx24 and they are just too tall. It makes the truck roll over so easily now. I just went back to the smaller mud slingers.
Definitely don’t understand the craze on these tall tires other than they look cool. And they gear the truck up so bad. Just makes me wonder how many things I will break trying to run these tires but I’ll keep making videos on that stuff I guess. At least I have other trucks to have fun with while the Deadbolt keeps dying because of these tires.
Tires are great just got to mod your rigs more but they work look at my vids on Treal wheels Mudslinger!!!

About 2.5 feet and hit right on that corner and bent the axle on me. It’s all fixed up now tho.

Where did you get those headlights for the deadbolt?
A friend of mine was selling them on eBay but he’s taking a break. If he starts selling them again I’ll let everyone know.
Were Deadbolts scarce in March? They're in stock practically everywhere now.
They were back ordered for some time between Jan and April.

They are really tall tires so you’re probably going to have to trim a lot of the body to get them to fit. Otherwise I’m liking the tires more now that I’ve been running them with the kinetic shock upgrade.
How much were the treal beadlocks
I got them off of eBay and I believe they were 43 dollars.

For real though I’d cover the full cost including shipping if you really dislike those tires.
I’m not giving up on them yet. But if I decide to get rid of them I’ll let ya know.
