I have an obsession with 1.0 tires. I have roughly 20-25 different sets. I don't have an actual favorite but I have 3 sets I love. LGRP swamp kings, proline mt pro-x, and proline super swampers. Those are my favorites and go to tires
Thank you for adding text to the screen when you are testing the tires! It's super helpful! The timestamps in the comment section are helpful as well! Just a note, if the time stamps are in the description rather than the comments, it will actually segment the video for you!
In my experience the Trenchers are a great tire, like the little Hyrax tires they just work! I've noticed that while Proline's compound is not as soft and sticky as some other brands that doesn't seem to stop their forward progress! My theory is that you can go too soft on the compound and the tread lugs just fold over instead of grabbing, I think Proline knows their stuff and their tire designs and rubber compound seems to be proof of that.
I saw this video and decided to get the Proline Trencers, here's my review: My TRX-4M: Bronco White When I first installed them and tested them on my homemade cardboard track I was actually quite disappointed, compared to the stock tires the Trenchers just didn't have the grip it needed. It would always slide down the cardboard hill that I have driven up several times with the stock tires. But later I decided to vent the tires since the rims that came with the tires didn't have holes in them so I decided to get some nicer rims with holes. After venting the tires the grip basically doubled. All that weight forcing the tires to really crawl up is what the tires really needed, venting. Although I do have to say that the tires aren't the best when it's being driven on smooth surfaces (like cardboard) or marble etc and they are amazing when you drive them over rough surfaces as you can also see in the video. These tires are better on snow than the stock tires. The Proline Trenchers fit very well on the TRX-4M and don't require any cutting or extensions. (You might experience rubbing, just like when using the stock tires and the size on the Proline Trencers is just about the exact same as for the stock tires. The Proline Trenchers doesn't use a very sticky compound and it cleans out by itself. My ratings: -Smooth Surfaces: 4/10 -Rough Surfaces: 10/10 -Shallow & Soft Snow: 8/10 -Deep Snow: 5/10 (all the way up to bumper) -Very hard snow: 10/10 (Hard and rough snow) -Dirt & Dust: 8/10 -Rocks'n Stuff: 10/10 When driving in deep snow you end up having to fight for traction sometimes. -Average Rating: 7.8 / 10 Conclusion: The Proline Trenchers are great for rough terrain and not so much smooth terrain (Cardboard, marble, etc) They perform fine until they get vented. After venting the tires they become grippy beasts. They perform quite well in snow and really well on rocks'n stuff as you can also see in the video. PS: My TRX-4M isn't very modified, just some tires and a few weights! I recommend them for sure! - Just vent them (:
Fantastic review! I was surprised for the overall top two, but I believe it was the right choice. I love how in-depth and raw the review was. +1 for having your kiddo in the background, it's great that you include him so much in your hobby.
Great video, thank you! I would not have guessed the Trencher would come out on top, nor that a Proline tire would be cost competitive to the others. I ordered a set for my TRX4M. Thanks!
The milestar Patagonia I ran for a while, despite it being a small tire thr performance of it is extremely underrated. Definitely a tire to run if you’ve never used it
I have been running trenchers for a few months now and I can say with confidence they outshine any other I have tried, with the exception of snow. They do not preform well in deep snow, but every other condition even wet they are amazing

I run the trail kings on my bronco and the trench kings on my defender. They rub the fenders a little but they are more trail truck/basic rock crawling.
ive bought many tires the rock terrains by far are the best ones ive used yet when the squish is right they grip on rock like no other ive even mudded with them and they went right through, they seem to not clean out but that doesnt hurt them as long as the knobs are clear
Thanks so much for this! I'm new to RC and just got a SCX24 Bronco. It's pretty immediately obvious that it needs better tires. I'm gonna order the Trenchers and give them a shot!
I just bought those 57mm Injoras and threw them on some Treal all brass wheels. They really need the added weight to grip but other than that they are really good. The one problem with being so sticky is they loose a lot of grip because they hold onto a lot of crap that you drive over. I still think the Injora T1008 are the best tires for a heavy TRX-4M.
Don't know if you saw my other comment ab CJ Crawler tires omg I love them I'm running no foam only air not vented and they stick I believe they're medium size check em out happy crawling

Thanks for this video. You saved me a lot of time and money testing them all myself. I will be getting a set of Trenchers for my TRX4M Bronco. What do you think about the Injora super soft inserts?

They will rub something fierce unless you lift it and or remove the mud flare things which I decided against. I bought these specifically for my bronco and I wish they had worked. I'm running the proline swampers, and pro x on my broncos
Hello Adam! Thanks for the great review. I would love a quick comparison between the Injora 64mm you run on the comp/black Bronco VS the Trenchers that you ranked no 1 in this video. I am debating between these two. Are you planning on switching to the Trenchers on the comp build? (Im aware that you did a comparison on a specific size of tyre but Im searching for the best overall for crawling for the trx4m!)
Thanks for watching! I think the 64mm's would walk all over the trenchers. The extra clearance and bigger footprint would give them a big advantage I think. The only downfall would be the added height could cause the rig to be more tippy on vertical and sidehills. No, I am not planning to switch to the trenchers on the comp build. As good as they are, I still like a bigger tire.
@@CapeCrawlers I felt the same way, so ordered some red compound Aggressors. Someone said get reds if your rig is over a certain weight as blacks are so soft they will just fold under themselves.

the goodyear wrangler tire is modeled after the goodyear wrangler MTR tire. Had 2 sets of 35's on my YJ about 10 years ago. MTR's are great tires IRL

@@CapeCrawlers Thank you. After your message, and watching the video again, i was able to get them on. Upgraded to the 64 mm tires!
We’re you using stock foams in every tire?

What are advantages of smaller tires (or disadvantages of the larger versions of swamp king and this injora tire) ?
Smaller tires keep the center of gravity down low and look more scale (if that matters to you). They also don't require body modifications.
Bigger tires also require more torque
