There are many videos on TH-cam about replacing the belt on a Ford Transit 2.0 ecoblue. But this video is the best of all that I have seen on this topic. Thank you for your time and effort that you spent on creating this video.
@diydaly hello buddy. I've commented on your channel before being a fan. I'm in need of your assistance. Does your office have a number I can call. My friend is a Paramedic, his Mini Cooper D needs a professional mechanic to look at timing chain, to see what damage has been done and to have a new one installed. Can you please assist him. A phone number to call you would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the great work buddy.
All your videos are well explained step by step guide and fully informative.,not many youtubers put such afford like you, clear audio & video quality,,thanks for your time helping people out there.
Fantastic video, loads of info! We really appreciate the time you put into filming this for us DIY’ers you have just saved me about £1200! Really appreciate it! Manny thanks Reece
I have watched a few of these wet belt replacement videos now and this is easily the best. Will definitely be doing it myself. FYI asked ford for a quote to do the job and they quoted £1950! 😮 Thanks for the vid.
What a great video. It’s the best one yet. We have two weltbelt transits (2019 and a 2020) , still only in the 30 odd thousands, but I’ve heard of low mileage failures. So, we’ll have to do them at some point in the near future.
Love it! It goes great through all the details❤ I have a Galaxy 2.0 the same engine and the procedure is 1 to 1 the same. Thank you very much for this video! I thought have a problem with a strange sound from the engine when I accelerate up to 2000 rpm it makes a noise like a damaged pully... but only between 2000-2700 rpm... what could it be? KM 211000. Thank you.
Great video. Have you ever had a crankshaft oil seal fail? I ask because I bought a timing cover with incorporated seal which Ford fitted and it leaked.
Hey Mate. Excellent Job. I watched it in fast forward for now cause aint got time in a Rush here. 2 quick things. How are these cam gears are tightened? No bolts in the centre in the cam itself?? And u took off the engine mount and did not support it anywhere. It's safe to hold it on the other itself?? Thx from Germany
I have a 19 plate. Never had an issue. Amazing van. Wet belt was done at 85k. Apparently the old belt was slightly swollen. My van does about 60 miles a day on motorway driving so always gets to temp. The issues lay with abuse, bad servicing and town driving. My mate has a T6 and no end of issues with the DPG from town driving. These vehicles need to be driving properly! Not like my Dad pottering around in his Fabia VRS 1.9 Diesel moaning about poor performance and issues. Wankers
Hi, have you ever had any issues with the idler gear bolt snapping or coming loose? I have seen a few posts online saying that these have failed. I was hoping not to have to mess with this bolt as I don’t know the correct torque settings or procedure for tightening it up. A few theories are that people are possibly over tightening the bolt when turning the engine over as they’re using this bolt instead of the main crank bolt. Any knowledge you have on this would be greatly appreciated. 👍
Do you need a special socket to remove the crank pulley with the impact driver? And whats keeps the crankshaft from turning while using the impact driver.
Hello, I watched every video of your TH-cam channel very carefully, very good. But your channel views are low. Because the channel's videos are not reaching people, views are not increasing and keywords are not being rehashed. As a result the views are very less. If you want I can see your problems for free
Hi I’ve just purchased a 21 plate transit custom trail. Unfortunately didn’t come with any service history after around 60k it’s now done 105k. I was told it may not need the wet belt doing as the engine had changed on a 21 plate, can anyone if this is correct? I’ve got it booked into a garage to get it done but thought I’d just clear this up in case it’s not required
You replaced the manufacturers multi step procedure for crankshaft bolt installation with a buzz gun blast because you didn't have the correct locking tool?? Really?
Comments like this really p**s me off. This is a very, very good informative video, what did you want, some classical piano to listen to without a thorough explanation? I’ve looked on your channel which offers nothing of any value to anyone.

Given they are now needed more frequent servicing due to belt failures, thats a lot of money..

One of the best wet belt videos out there by far!, step by step ultra clear instructions 5 stars from me buddy 👍
What a fantastic video and explanations are clear and understandable. Respect and great service to the ford Community..Really enjoyed.. thanks
Fantastic video explaining everything in detail 👏
Thank you! 👍
Proper job. What sort of cost are we talking about currently for this job?
Will vary a abit , but a good price would be £1000-£1200
Cracking video mate, nice one. Does the wet belt tensioner ever start to rattle a bit after high mileage?

thanks for the video, certainly a very good tutorial for someone who has this model transit , and interesting for us hobby mechanics, thanks mate
Thanks for the comment mate , much appreciated 👍
Thanks for sharing a very detailed video on this transit van Can you tell me if its possible to test for a snapped belt on these transit vans ?
Una perfección. Gracias. A cuantos km.se ha cambiado la corella de este coche?
Brilliant as usual..only thing is i was advised never to gun up crankshaft pulley..have had issues doing that??
Thanks! 👍👍 tbh mate I buzz em up all the time , never had any issues .. I do use decent powerful guns (Milwaukee / snap on electric & snap on air gun)
Great video. Have you ever had a crankshaft oil seal fail? I ask because I bought a timing cover with incorporated seal which Ford fitted and it leaked.
Great Video, great job and thank you for explaining everything in detail. ⚒️
👍👍
Good instructional video. Thanks. I’ve not done one yet. What sort of time do you think I should allow?
👍👍 For the first one I’d give yourself a good 6 hours
What a fantastic video young man!! very well explained. "Many Thanks" ❤The channel 👌
Feedback Much appreciated! Thanks !😁

Does the starter motor also have to be locked on the right-hand side?
Un grand merci chef tu un super technicien ❤❤❤
👍 thankyou

Ive never had any issues tbh mate
Great video, quick question do you film this video after work hours or on weekends
Yes mainly after work hours mate
Has ford updated this belt to make it more resistant to falling to bits, compared to the belts fitted to the 1.0 ecoboost for the last ten years?
I asked Ford main dealer for a quote. When I queried why the price did not include oil and filter, I was told they put the old oil back in the engine.
You should always change the oil along side this job in my opinion
Never use old oil how stupid
The best video on you tube
Hello
I drive S max 2019 190 hp Ecoblue is the procedure the same as in this video ?
That's gotta be a full days work there
Do you need a special socket to remove the crank pulley with the impact driver? And whats keeps the crankshaft from turning while using the impact driver.
No just normal socket , nothing needed to hold it mate .. decent buzz gun will undo it no problem
is the timing belt directional on and marked for direction ? .Great video
Does the timing belt have s direction of rotation
excellent video mate,well appreciated👌
Thanks 👍
Thats a good vdeo on that job. What was the mileage on the van in the vid?
Thanks , only about 30,000 on this one
Is the oil pump worth doing whilst in there?
I’ve not done any yet mate
God bless you!!! thank you very much for your work!!!
You are very welcome
Very good job mate all in order 👍 😅
Thanks 👍
Great video as usual
👍 thanks mate
At 13.04 in the video is that the crankshaft sensor that can be seen ? Thanks
When do you recommend do this how much mileage mine coming up to 55 thousand
Hard to say tbh mate I’ve seen some fail quite early on , if I had one I’d like to say 5 years / 60k
@@diydaly thanks for the info pal

What would you charge for doing one mate
FWDs are usually around the £1000 area mate
Hi how much charge do all belts ?
FWD usually around £1100
Nice work 👍🏼
Thank you! Cheers!
Amazing, detailed video :D
Thank you!
How about the water pump
Yikes, seems a lot of work for a cambelt! How often do Ford recommend this, and what do you recommend?
Ford have now just altered the interval to 100,000 or 6 years which ever comes first .. personally with all the issues I’d say 5 years / 80,000 miles
Compraria una Ford transit custom??
Hi
Where are you based?
What mileage/age is it advised you to change please?
Regards

👍 yeah I definetly advise getting it replaced mate
They make engine's to fail. Now stick to old school timing chains. 😂😂
Where are you based?
cost of repair?🤔🤔
Will range from £1000 - £1500 depending on labour rates / quality of parts used etc
All that work to replace a crucial element that's wearing out faster than it should be... That's what I call a "failed design"!
Top!👍
👍👍
You replaced the manufacturers multi step procedure for crankshaft bolt installation with a buzz gun blast because you didn't have the correct locking tool?? Really?
this is the reasone im not buying one what a joke
Stop talking and just show what to do
