Excellent video. I'm going to replace on my Volvo V60 1.6 DRIVe next week. I was about to order the timing belt on Autodoc. Turns out that there are different kinds. One wit 137 and one with 141 teeth - how do I know which one to buy before disassembling?
@@zweetkonijnIs it a 5 speed or 6? The 5 speed cars have the earlier D4164T engine which is not the same, although similar. This is a D4162T 8 valve engine.
I would find a video of that engine as the 1.6D is not the same as the D2. The 2008 cars have a 16V engine which was changed in late 2010 for an 8V engine based on the same block. Yours has the engine code D4164T, unless it's the 1.6 petrol which is completely different.
Excellent video, very well presented. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!

good vid do you put red antifreeze in all cars i did a ACLASS of your sep by step very good
Yeah most of the time , there are certain ones I’ll use blue
How many hours should it take a decent mechanic to change the timing gear pulley? Is it a difficult job?
3-4 hours
Gonna give it a go sometime soon, this is same for the volvo v50 1.6 2008 ?
Also what happens if one of the pulleys slightly out of line, do they simply just turn back ?
I’m about to do this on my V50 1.6 2010. How did it go?
