Big D - can you review a relatively cheap, decent, 4 channel or 5 channel amp? I don't need to drive 4x20 inch subs, I just want to make my 6.5 inch Kickers sound better while I enjoy my jazz and classic rock! Budget Gem hasn't posted in a long time; your buddy HiFi Vega hasn't tested a 4 channel amp in a long while. There is SO MUCH CRAP out there it would make Dick Rickulous cry!

I have several home stereo subwoofers, but my paradigm PW 2200 V2 blows them all out of the water, however the amp just died =( I'm desperately trying to get a stand alone amp around 500watts RMS. I'm not opposed to a plate amp, but it would be harder to integrate. But somebody, please point me in the right direction!! If u haven't guessed yet, I'm on a budget, but I see dozens of car sub amps on this channel for next to nothing, there has to be something out there for a couple hundred bucks that will bring my sub back to life

Do you do amp recommendations? Really need something that can do a real 1500w at 2ohm for as low budget as possible. The JP23v1.5 does the numbers, but it's there anything cheaper I could go with?

Thanks for testing these and pointing out the internal components... I wonder if they cheaped out when they went to online direct sales and just didn't change the box and literature. I have the 2ch Power Class A/B amp they made just before these (very similar to the SoundStream Reference Series they brought back). At the time, they hoped they would bring a revival of the old school series back... They tried to keep them dealer only, but unfortunately it didn't pan out that way. I remember reading a thread from a high level employee stating that if people weren't willing to pay the dealer prices and insisted on online price wars that they wouldn't be successful and they would be discontinued... Unfortunately that's what happened. My amplifier is brand new, I've tested it to verify that it works. I've heard a lot of amps, and my class A/B Power Series sounded amazing to me... I would love to send it to you for testing because the whole Power Class and SoundStream Reference revivals were always interesting to me.

Thumbs up to Precision Power with the design of this amp. Love the good looking faceplate protecting the adjustments from other people who "know better" than you do, and as soon as they see a button or a knob they gotta touch it. lol. I have to say I'm very interested in this amp now. It may not have quite made all the rated power, but for the price still pretty good. A little concern about heat dissipation, but a little modification and adding a fan would help. this would not be the first amp that would benefit from doing such a procedure. As I think every amplifier should come with a built in fan, and would benefit from one especially for long term use/durability. And if it sounds good then hopefully a decent buy. Thanks Big D!

I have had my eye on this amp for a while, it went up 20$ right after your video so I settled for the Atom 1200 Watt, looks to be well built too.
