Brother i am sure that I don't need to tell you this but it is not good at all to only wire up a single coil on a DVC woofer and also you would have been perfectly fine to wire it down to half as long as you don't hang it wide open from a pause and roll into the volume instead which means the reactive impedance load is going to be well above 1ohm after rise and fluctuations....

Wow I wasn't expecting that. Being a teenager in the 90s I remember when a 200w amp would set you back 4 to 5 hundred. It just amazes me that they can sell a amp that produces that much power for $60.
Pretty impressive for chineese junk, question is how do it sound 😄Those measurements doesn't say anything about how good it is to actually controle the speakers. But what can you expect from 60 bucks.

@@BDauto86 Just remember that it’s just a cheap class D amp and that you have to add upwards 100 $ for a decent clunky psu. A used 90’s class a/b amp off about 60w will be miles better.
I don’t say it isn’t usable especially if its just to making rumble in a car sub. Even class D amps in “Pro” gear for PA usage a modern class D 2x 2000w won’t beat a good ole Crown or Yamaha 2x500w class a/b

Everyone HS would have been a bass head! Even the women. (Though my best friend growing up, we put a JBL 1200GTi in a 1in plexi 4th order bandpass with lavendar neon in the hatch of her new car back then. A PPI A600.

I bought one when they were $59 intending to try my hand at a dyno video but I was busy with some other stuff. This video is way better than anything I could have done for sure. So I probably won’t do it now. This amp is now $89 and probably will keep going up until is around $100 dollars. Seems like a good cheap amp though

Dereck’s will definitely be better but I wanna see if all the ones people are showing on TH-cam make it through these tests. Make sure that it’s just not one or two that are ok.
Bought this on your test and comments but also your subscribers comments. A BIG TY D! Replaced a Belva 1500 with this one and I'm happy so far with the performance. I have it on a Soundstream 12 dvc at 2 ohms in a 2.5 cuft. Enclosure.
I got a buddy running two of these on two H yanka 15D2. Running one aml per sub. At 1 ohm each. He has them in a 30hz 4qf e closure. And idk what it would meter but I’d bet it’s doing high 40s! It absolutely slams and he has $400 the whole system. He had one of those cheap capacitor things and I talked him into taking it out. And I helped him build his exposure. We ran welding leads for the hot and grounds. It really does slam. It blew my mind so I had to look these amps up. The H yanka subs I thought would be shitty too. But turns out, they slam clean and low. They sound as good if not better than any Skar SDR subs I’ve heard.
I like buying local but Amazon has EVERYTHING! The bad part though is sometimes their packaging does leave a little to be desired! Thanks for your channel D. Your a stud!

Crap back in the day I always thought the gain was power volume, always had it full tilt with front on a smaller amp all at full power and it was so clear and hit hard...
...I dont mind the angled terminals. They pull in the wire as you tighten the terminal...that it what is used on my expensive Helix amps....needles to say, I will not be buying one of these amps, but, good show as usual Big D...see you next Sunday, look forward to it
Paid $78 for mines thanks for the heads up on this good amplifiers. Gonna installed with two 12’s American Bass XD Rated each sub at 500 RMS each sub should sound good with the 1,000 RMS @ 1ohm.
I'd like to see a dyno run at lower than 1ohm on these cheap amps, not just you playing through a sub that we can't really hear, even with 2 subs in my home system

SO i just got the Audiozonie AMP today :) and... wow/.. im super surprised. it is actually a pretty good amp.. it has some weight to it too.. the remote bass knob is abit flimsy although it is plastic but yea, it does hit my 2 12s pretty hard :) i actually maxxed what box i had , so i bought a Q Bomb box today and yea it sounds great.. im glad i got the amp

Not bad at all. Seems like it would be worth it if you're budget is tight. Not sure about longevity but for the price, even if it runs a few months, you will get your money's worth.
When I was a kid, even 500 watts was out of reach for most people with remotely responsible financial discipline. Sherwood was one of the few bargain brands that wasn't engaging in absolute spec deception, and their amps were a buck a watt, on sale, at a time where the average person took home about 400 bucks a week.
This reminds me of the Rockville DB11. The internal design is very similar to the internal of DB11, except the DB11 is a lot less powerful. The capacitors are the same brand (Captop). The transistor clips, transformer, bus bars that connect the speaker terminals, fuse holders, and power terminals, preamp section, and the big rectangular yellow capacitor for the half bridge class D are almost identical. Also it seems like that the manufacturer that makes the PCB of that amp also made the PCB for the DB11 because the manufacturer logos are the same. The Rockville DB11 could make 23.5V RMS (or 276 watts according to the calculation) with 2 ohm load on a 12.26V HP server power supply right before I hear audible clip. According to the results of that amp, I think that the DB11 will make the claimed watts if it is on 14.4V.
Amazing! I'd have love to see the 0.5 ohm test with the subwoofer coils in parallel. Sadly though, I think amps this cheap are killing the car audio industry. Not going to see much innovation when there's no money in it.
Nah, it'll only make it easier for up and coming woofer designers. It should be cheap. It's a few electronic pieces surrounded in plastic and aluminum. Basically cost 200$ to build a high level 6k Amp fans/coolers/and all the features of a 2000$ 6k Amp.
That's pretty decent for 60 bucks. If it can reliably run at half its rated power that would be an amazing value. I would not expect this to last running at its full rating. Guess I will never know since I got a few good amps for now. By the time I need a new amp I wont remember this one LOL. FYI That Ignite amp I got from your link when you posted it is still going strong. It has blown 2 L7's 12" and a Skar SDR 18, and 2 comp vr 10's. The evl 15 is taking it like a champ though get stinking after a while. The ignite amp is a little stronger than the JP8 I got from your link. Both amps are great though. Keep posting bro.
@@therealistintheboot8822 Only thing I am doing wrong is bumping it hard. LMAO> I cant blow an EVL on the same amps. New L7s are not the same quality as the older ones. They will not handle same power. You can verify this in the rating from 2005 to ones sold today. They handle about half the power and are still labeled an L7. Not sure why they did that. There are other great speakers out there, but I cant find any that give you the value the EVL line does. Its a hard to blow entry level speaker.
Back in the day I spent a good $400 on a Kicker 60W×2 cheater amp. In todays dollars thats probably almost $1000. Anyway, I wouldn't expect the sound quality of this $60 amp to match that Class A/B Kicker, but from a pure wattage per dollar perspective, that's impressive.
I recently got a deal on a 10" sub. I thought my truck was already wired up, but it just had a cheap box with amp built in. I bought this because it had good reviews and your channel was mentioned quite a bit. Can you give me recommendations on settings you would use for a kicker compc in a ported box. I'm really new to this. Thanks in advance!
For the price that's a pretty decent cheap amp. Warranty? Yeah, I wouldn't count on ANY sort of warranty outside of a 30 day DOA, refund your money type of warranty. Not with what seems to be a fly by night sort of company like that. However, if I were totally cash strapped and needed a little something it's not a terrible choice! Thanks for the vid Big D!

When I was a kid, even 500 watts was out of reach for most people with remotely responsible financial discipline. Sherwood was one of the few bargain brands that wasn't engaging in absolute spec deception, and their amps were a buck a watt, on sale, at a time where the average person took home about 400 bucks a week.
Where do you live I still to this haven't worked where I made $400 a week.

This reminds me of the Rockville DB11. The internal design is very similar to the internal of DB11, except the DB11 is a lot less powerful. The capacitors are the same brand (Captop). The transistor clips, transformer, bus bars that connect the speaker terminals, fuse holders, and power terminals, preamp section, and the big rectangular yellow capacitor for the half bridge class D are almost identical. Also it seems like that the manufacturer that makes the PCB of that amp also made the PCB for the DB11 because the manufacturer logos are the same. The Rockville DB11 could make 23.5V RMS (or 276 watts according to the calculation) with 2 ohm load on a 12.26V HP server power supply right before I hear audible clip. According to the results of that amp, I think that the DB11 will make the claimed watts if it is on 14.4V.

Sadly though, I think amps this cheap are killing the car audio industry. Not going to see much innovation when there's no money in it.
Nah, it'll only make it easier for up and coming woofer designers. It should be cheap. It's a few electronic pieces surrounded in plastic and aluminum. Basically cost 200$ to build a high level 6k Amp fans/coolers/and all the features of a 2000$ 6k Amp.

That's pretty decent for 60 bucks. If it can reliably run at half its rated power that would be an amazing value. I would not expect this to last running at its full rating.
Guess I will never know since I got a few good amps for now. By the time I need a new amp I wont remember this one LOL.
FYI That Ignite amp I got from your link when you posted it is still going strong. It has blown 2 L7's 12" and a Skar SDR 18, and 2 comp vr 10's. The evl 15 is taking it like a champ though get stinking after a while. The ignite amp is a little stronger than the JP8 I got from your link. Both amps are great though. Keep posting bro.
It's better to overpower it than underpower it. The distortion will kill your sub.

New L7s are not the same quality as the older ones. They will not handle same power. You can verify this in the rating from 2005 to ones sold today. They handle about half the power and are still labeled an L7. Not sure why they did that.
There are other great speakers out there, but I cant find any that give you the value the EVL line does. Its a hard to blow entry level speaker.
Bet it lasts a long long time with all those high quality components

Back in the day I spent a good $400 on a Kicker 60W×2 cheater amp. In todays dollars thats probably almost $1000. Anyway, I wouldn't expect the sound quality of this $60 amp to match that Class A/B Kicker, but from a pure wattage per dollar perspective, that's impressive.
Been waiting for this, was curious about this amp, but since then they are now at 89$
which is a bit sad.

I recently got a deal on a 10" sub.
I thought my truck was already wired up, but it just had a cheap box with amp built in.
I bought this because it had good reviews and your channel was mentioned quite a bit.

For the price that's a pretty decent cheap amp. Warranty? Yeah, I wouldn't count on ANY sort of warranty outside of a 30 day DOA, refund your money type of warranty. Not with what seems to be a fly by night sort of company like that. However, if I were totally cash strapped and needed a little something it's not a terrible choice! Thanks for the vid Big D!
