    I graduated in 2018 with a bachelor's
Since then I have been trying to work an entry level job in my profession
Years passed and nothing came about it
In my desperate situation I began to work retail and warehouse jobs
Honestly at this point most people work part time jobs and gig jobs
I hate how the older folks say eventually you get hire
    No you dont
It gets worse and worse and things don't get better
How they expect us to led fulling lives if you can't get work in either professional work or basic jobs?

Honestly I just don’t have the patience anymore. They have too many options in this market. I just send a thank you letter and call it a day. Too many times when I follow up with an unclear answer. Let’s face it if they want to hire you they wouldn’t leave you in the dark.

First: this was 2019, job hunting got a few callbacks and landed some interviews. But the majority of my applications went unanswered entirely. I did land a job at the time
Second: More recently, ive put a few apps out and heard absolutely nothing. Im resorting to a business startup in my garage bc the world around me is becoming unreliable.

I've been trying to make a career change, going from sales to purchaser. I've also tried to get into positions with my degree. I've been offered more than my fair share of scam jobs. I've had one job from Europe with very good benefits but because the worker cultures are different I honestly thought it was a genuine scam. I avoid companies that use Telegram to submit private information, so its very hard to find work just because some companies do not offer good strong guidelines to handle private info.
Though my favorites have been getting completely ghosted after the 2nd interview and its been rough. At this point I'm just slowly turning my side hustle into my actual business. (been working as a social media promoter for a friend whose trying to get his youtube/twitch channel off the ground...but he's been dragging his heels on getting consistent with it....so its more knowledge than practice).

Over a month ago, I applied for a job that I'm perfectly qualified for and was told thank you but they are moving forward with other applicants. The position is still listed on the company’s job board. It will not let me reapply as I have already applied once. It’s obvious they are just collecting applications.

There may be something that is not written in the JD that they are looking for. Happens all the time. Don't lose heart. You'll land a new job soon. Just keep applying.

Sir I've heard if maximizing salary is important then promotions is not actually the way to go..
Studies show that if we change jobs every 1-2 years then salary will soon outpace any raises/promotions you'd get if you had stayed.. so what to do to earn more ? Any better ideas to know and apply in initial stages of career in service based industry..

    I have 2 questions :
    1) Got a promotion but no raise in salary what to do about it ?
    2) Work hard and you'll be rewarded with more work ! Why it happens and how to tackle it..

    • @BetterThing-jobs
      @BetterThing-jobs  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

On your first one...you should ask your boss about it. Sometimes they have to wait for a specific time of year on the HR calendar when all "Merit" increases are given. 2). I'm back to the first answer. It sounds like they are recognizing you for your efforts with a promotion. Compensation should follow. One other thing I would say...I wouldn't look at it like more work or less work. Think about it as more opportunities to serve more people. Each of those opportunities lead to career growth. That has value beyond your salary in the moment. It should equate to compounded increases as you change jobs and build from there. It all works out in the end. Eventually, you will be able to look back on a career and see the hard workers and/or smart workers as the new bosses and everyone else works for them.

Maybe if we all treat each other with respect, all of us will feel respected.
