"You have to get past people who don't have brains." This is so true. I just got promoted by people with brains, by giving answers that make the even higher management zombies happy. Top level management views people as fungible. (interchangeable parts) It doesn't matter how true or false it is, act as if it is true in your interview.

Multiple forms of discrimination. Current market's not helping either.

This may be the case. If it helps, the cultural fit thing is probably where they tag you with any discriminatory interview feedback. Try to blend in with tone, speech, dress, etc during the interview. It might help. It’s not right, but that is how they are doing it. Hopefully knowing can help you overcome the obstacle.

@@BetterThing-jobs I appreciate the comment, but it's not tone, speech, or dress. I can't change inherent characteristics (age being one of them), and that's what's getting me. It's explicitly illegal, but that doesn't stop them, unfortunately.

Companies requires slaves not employees .most of job descriptions are not in line what you will actually do. You should guess what the work should look like. Employers are joke stupid.I did many interview .I know better than them on what they want to do. They do not employ you because they are not hiring anyone..I check linkedin and its a fact.
