The magi were Persian Zoroastrian priests, who were called magi and magus, by Roman-Greeks and Arabs. Zoroastrian priests were famous astrologers who charted the stars and studied them.

Magi are not from China, they are from Persian area, modern Iraq and Iran. Magi is the term used for zoerastrian priests.

It's amazing how this myth of three (3) wise men came from the East, still keeps going today. The Bible says "Wise men came from the East" never mentioned the number. I would guess the figure 3 came from the three gifts they were bearing. Also we envisage the stable as a typical building as we know a stable today. The truth is, he was possibly born in a cave, used by the shepherds to keep their flocks of sheep safe during the cold Winter nights, and it was not required by the shepherds at his birth, as they were out looking after their flocks at night, Spring time, when the sacrificial lambs were born at Bethlehem. The shepherds were the only ones to worship him at his birth, and the Angels directed them, to his birth place . The star never appeared over the stable, but in the East where the wise men were. When they came to worship and bring him gifts, he was almost two years old. The star they saw in the East that directed them to the King of Judah, was the planet Jupiter. It was after the wise men left, the angel told Mary and Joseph to take the child to Egypt. History tells us that Herod died in 4 BC, and so when it was safe to return to Judah, they brought the child back to Nazareth, and the story of his growing up in Nazareth continued. Many today refer to Jesus as the Nazarene, but really he was born in Bethlehem, lived for a time in Egypt, and grew up in Nazareth, and would have helped his father Joseph, who was a carpenter.

This news story fails to mention is that there were Wise Men bearing three types of gifts, not three men each with a single gift. Some time had passed because King Herod ordered the death of male babies two and under. The Wise Men didn't see a newborn in a manger but a toddler in a house. God warned these men not to return to Herod and warned Joseph to leave and take his family to Egypt. The gifts provided a financial means to travel and get established in a new home.

Besides in Iran/Persia magi used to live. It has been mentioned in many scriptures that Iran was the place of magi. So, I don't think it was China, it was Persia.

3 kings? Magis? It's really funny that apart from the Julian and Gregorian calendar entering and dominating most cultures, catholic mysticism and gnosticism has likewise trailed the path. The "3 kings" or magis was a Catholic invention and myth, along with the purported and highly fictitious names like "Melchor, Balthazar and Gaspar" (they were Catholic inventions) lols.
There is a more credible version of this story. Indeed there were wise men, as the Bible tells, but it is believed that they weren't just 3 people and it is also believed that they have been sojourning around Israel for a time already BEFORE they were brought in to "meet" (or be interrogated by) Herod. They were said to be "learned scholars" of the royal court of another kingdom nearby and they traveled in a huge contingency complete with entourage and servants. Some scholars even point out that these men were most likely descendants of the same people who were familiar with the prophet Daniel and his writings, albeit it is unlikely they are also Hebrews.
Daniel as a young man, was part of the Babylonian captivity and during his sojourn in Nebuchadnezzar's court, he was assigned to the group that seems to train men to become viziers and seers, that studied sciences such as astronomy and even probably alchemy and which may have also dealt with mysticism. Is it any wonder that it was this group whom Nebuchadnezzar ordered to interpret his dream? Daniel was one of those studying their craft with the exception that he doesn't follow their heathen ways.
Daniel continued on in this service unto the Persian captivity and in the court of Artaxerxes. It is most likely that the succeeding generations of this group of would be viziers have Daniel's "works" in memory, including the observance of a "star" that was scientifically (prophetically?) foretold to point to a "coming heavenly king". The other parts of the puzzle which lend their clues to such a theory is the fact that they brought 3 items (called "gifts" by catholic teaching, the 3 items eventually led to their erroneous speculation that there must be only 3 men involved in the journey). The items: frankincense, myrrh and gold are strange and seemingly inappropriate "gifts" (except for gold) to give to a king unless you consider their symbolic meanings. Gold: Symbolic of Jesus' kingship. Frankincense: Symbolic of his priestly authority and Myrrh: An ointment used for embalming. Anyone eruditely familiar with the Bible can understand the symbolism and what they say would take place in the life of Jesus.
The thing that needs to be rectified here is the common misunderstanding that the wise men found "a baby Jesus" in "swaddling clothes", just got born and still "living" in the stables. This is so wrong. In fact, based on details given in the Bible accounts, the wise men found Jesus only when He was already a "young CHILD", meaning, no longer an infant and probably into the weaning period, not at the stables but inside the inn staying in a proper room. (Somehow, the Catholic mystics applied a touch of "Hollywood" into their accounts in order to make the "scene" look more emphatic). We also know, by deduction, that at this time, Jesus was between the age of 1 and 2 owing to the fact that (on historical records) Herod ordered the killing of young male boys of ages 2 and younger.
Finally, archeology was able to unearth records corroborating the "taxation and census" accounts (which prompted the pregnant couple to move to Bethlehem), and some records alluding to the origin of the large group of "scholarly wise men" recorded traveling into Herod's territory at about the same time. "The East" is a general direction by which one might say, "East of what?" As it turns out, East of Judeah (or Israel) lay the kingdoms of Babylon and Persia. So there.

I always thought it was Islam but the more I pay attention to the churches and their doctrine even though the Muslims have some of it wrong they are probably are our allies and preaching the gospel would make sense to them. Especially if you see how Islam was very pagan and they turned to the One true God but they still have parts wrong in the Quran. I started studying religions on my own, starting with understanding of my own religion and then reading their doctrines.
I would love to have a discussion about the Harlot. I feel it will help us to win more souls for Christ and pull people out of pagan life. I also believe we need to get back to the Torah. Christ didn't come to start a new religion and now look at it. In pieces and being abused. We are dumb creatures. And I want to help build His church back up. In proper knowledge of God's word no more pastors telling stories and using the stage as their idolatrous empire. I want to see more teaching and less preaching.

were more than three of them (the Bible

I suspect at that time Persia was too close by to be vaguely called"from the east". There were enough interactions already before the time of Jesus. They could have used specific terms like Persia handily. "East" may suggest something more unknown or mysterious. Magi from the East are redundant terms: Magi specifies the character of the person; From the East adds a modification to the Magi, suggesting a different kind of Magi from what they normally knew already.

There is nothing scriptural in the comment one of the interviewee's made that "Christ is behind all religion". We are provided no direction from the Bible on such a claim, apart from Philippians 2:10-11 "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father." Jesus is NOT behind all religion. We have been chasing after idolatrous concepts of God [the God of the Bible] through out our history. This actually smacks more of person or persons who have an interest in laying out a foundation for an idea of a universal religion, a One World Religion with a Christ that is "politically correct" [particularly coming from ABC] rather than Christ as He is, and where He is found - in the Bible!

Actually, Jacob (Israel) prophecied, "You are a Lion's cub (Leo), oh Judah... And the Tyler's scepter (star of Bethlehem) will not depart from between your feet until he comes to whom it belongs."
They knew Judah was NOT a lion, but a man, and therefore the blessing of Israel over Judah was prophetic of a coming King. The Lion was the constellation Leo and the scepter was the retrograde motion of The Star of Bethlehem, drawing a scepter between his feet. It could not be interpreted until it happened in the stars and we can use astronomy computer programs to verify it did happen. See the video, "Bethlehem's Star" for more.
Plus, the Magi were under the Prophet Daniel and studied the Jewish scriptures. That's why they knew it when they saw the star.

There were totally 4 wiseman tried to reach but only 3 succeeded one missed the opportunity. 4th wiseman was Artaban, carrying treasures to give as gifts to the child - a sapphire, a ruby, and a "pearl of great price". However, he stops along the way to help a dying man, which makes him late to meet with the caravan of the other three wise men. Because he missed the caravan, and he can't cross the desert with only a horse, he is forced to sell one of his treasures in order to buy the camels and supplies necessary for the trip. He then commences his journey but arrives in Bethlehem too late to see the child, whose parents have fled to Egypt. He saves the life of a child at the price of another of his treasures. He then travels to Egypt and to many other countries, searching for Jesus for many years and performing acts of charity along the way. After 33 years, Artaban is still a pilgrim, and a seeker after light. Artaban arrives in Jerusalem just in time for the crucifixion of Jesus. He spends his last treasure, the pearl, to ransom a young woman from being sold into slavery. He is then struck in the head by a falling roof tile and is about to die, having failed in his quest to find Jesus, but having done much good through charitable works. A voice tells him "Verily I say unto thee, Inasmuch as thou hast done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, thou hast done it unto me." (Matthew 25:40)[4] He dies in a calm radiance of wonder and joy. His treasures were accepted, and the Other Wise Man found his King.

believe or have the *Spiritual eyes to see and ears to hear the Living God and His Living Everlasting Word*
Many are confused about The Most High God, His Only Begotten Son, Christ Jesus/Yeshua and the
Holy Spirit [ Our Heavenly Father in heaven has Three Offices, ) whereby
He is God Almighty, therefore He created every single thing, Visible and Invisible*
ALL Things are possible with Our Only Creator, Only True God of All Mankind*
*Mankind left Our Father* Our Father, Yahaveh did Not leave His children! He gave each soul the right to have freewill to choose to follow His way or the
evil ways that will ultimately End in the blotting out of those souls who refused discipline that will be taught during the thousand year period.
At the End of the 1000 year millineium is the *White Throne Judgement* those souls who chose to follow EVIL will be blotted out. ( Gone forever )
There is no such thing as Our Father causing those who refuse to Righteousness and to be fair to their brethren to burn in a torturous way, as is taught in many religions.
Our Father knows He cannot make souls to love Him;. He made us in His image and gave free will to choose. This is why we were born from above into flesh woman,
in order to choose to follow the way of Good or Evil.
We all sin because we are in the flesh Bodies; therefore we must call upon Our Father in Christ Jesus name and the Holy Spirit will lead, guide and direct
IF one Truly tries their best to do the Will of Our Father Yahaveh by having Faith and planting seeds of Truth, Our Father will bless us by His Will as it must be done.
      *Faith without Works is Dead*
Father expects us to show discipline by trying to do good deeds to help others who are Truly in need of hearing the Truth and in need of guidance.
*Not one is Perfect with the exception of Christ Jesus* Emmanuel, God walked with us ( Mankind )
*Understanding the Truth of Our Father s Word can be obtained by Studying to show ourselves approved*
In this age of Increased Knowledge, we are held more accountable than past generations to seek and find, curious about Our True past, the
Real Truth about the Why, When, Where, What, How.
Studying to show oneself approved by Our Father in heaven in Christ Jesus/Yeshua's name is how we learn the Truth.
Father wants Our LOVE- Sacrifices f love, whereby we discipline ourselves to show we love Him.
      *Hosea 6:6*

Hey Jill what you wrote was very clear. You said the flesh of the wo-man for from the rib of Adam the lord god created wo-man so you are not another human apart from man. But The Lord CHRIST JESUS made promise to eve that her seed would bruise Satan’s head and The Lord kept his promise in Mary the mother of our savior. Now you need to go and read acts 2:38

You ask me who are the elect ? I say the Elect are the ones whom The Lord reveals himself to. For no woman or man can come to the father unless the father draws them by his Holy Ghost Jesus said I am the door to the sheep fold . So Jillian unless you have a very personal encounter with Jesus The Christ then most likely you are just religious. And the over came by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony. Testimony all of the elect have a testimony of how the lord touched their hearts with his resistible Love . If you don’t have this maybe I will ask the Father to reveal himself to you. But if you do then that’s awesome

I believe that the magi and the knowledge of the messiah being born etc, came through Daniel the prophet who was a leader of those from the area in the Persian kingdom in where he educated those who were of the kings magicians, sorcerers, etc, of what is to come, so later when the star was found at the appointed time, those of the magi put together a caravan, to seek out the messiah which Daniel had taught of in previous times, and they brought 3 types of gifts, but nowhere in scripture does it mention only 3 magi, but it does mention 3 types of gift, whereas 3 kings could have brought the gold, and 5 others may have brought the frankincense, and 4 others may have brought the myrrh , this is what happens when those that of the secular sect attempt to educate on something of the spiritual aspect

Astronomy in China has a long history, beginning from the Shang Dynasty (Chinese Bronze Age). Star names later categorized in the twenty-eight mansions have been found on oracle bones unearthed at Anyang, dating back to the middle Shang Dynasty, and the mansion (xiù:宿) system's nucleus seems to have taken shape by the time of the ruler Wu Ding (1339-1281 BC).

It's interesting but much speculation. No one can be for sure about this story. If you take the few vs. in Matthew and Isaiah 60: 1-9, we can all do a little digging and form our own thoughts. Mine are as follows: Some special guys came to find Jesus. It seems to not be at his birth, but later. They came from the east. There were a lot of Jewish peoples in Babylon from Joseph's time. It could have been some of them. I believe they were led there by God and instructed by an angel from God as to how to leave. They brought some gifts. There is nothing in the bible about the number of visitors. Isaiah does suggest some areas that they come from, east and south. Isaiah does list three sites but not a number of "magi". That was fun. Now i know that i can't fully know! By the way, what does it matter?

I DISCOVERED THAT HALLEY´S COMET IS THE STAR OF BETHLEHEM. On August 23, 2018, in my "Colombian Arithmetic Reconciliation Between History and Astronomy" in excel, I discovered that:
    1) Halley's comet is the same Biblical Star of Bethlehem.
    2) After the year 1066 A.D., there is an error (8 years extra). The year 1986 was really 1978 A.D., and the year 2018 was really the year 2010 A.D.
    3) The German version of Ghost Time, which says that 297 false years were added to history during the period (614 - 911 AD) is not correct because during that time there were historic sightings of Halley's comet (837 A.D.,sighted during the reign of Ludovico Pío or Louis the Pious, and was reported by a chronicler nicknamed "The Astronomer" ), and there is no remainder of 297 years either.
Going back in time with periods of 76.03 years, since 1066 when William the Conqueror spotted the comet, I found that the Halley's comet had its perihelion in year 1 of the Christian era and in the year 837 a.D., in the time of King Louis I. We are currently in the year 2024, however really this is the year 2016 a. D., because there is an error (eight-years) in the allocations of historical dates in the first 8 years, it may be because dates were always calculated based on periods of 75 or 76 years, but the exact period of Halley 's comet is 76.03 years, accumulating 8 years, or perhaps because at some point after the year 1066 AD, historians noticed that there is an error (8 years) in the assignment of historical events during the first 8 years of the Christian era and possibly those historians (clerics) thought that the error could be corrected by adding 8 years, but that was not the correct solution, It is necessary to relocate the assignment of historical events during the first 8 years. Whatever it may have been, after the year 1066 A.D., there are 8 extra years until today 2024 A.D (2016 years since the birth of Jesus The Messiah). Going back in time with exact periods of 76.03 years, from the last perihelion of Halley's Comet in 1986 to the oldest record (China 2290 BC), it is observed that the perihelion of the year 1074 AD corresponds to the historical sighting recorded with date 1066 AD (when Halley's Comet was observed in Normandy and England by William the Conqueror) giving rise to a current accumulated difference of eight (8) years, between the date of historical record (1066) and the date that is supposed to correspond to the exact perihelion (1074). Therefore, if those eight (8) years of difference are subtracted from the date of the last perihelion of the year 1986, we obtain that the year 1986 should be the year 1978. Taking the exact year 1978 as a starting point and Going back in time (subtracting or subtracting) with exact periods of 76.03 years, it is observed that Halley's Comet had its correct perihelion in the year 1065 or 1066 (when it was sighted by William the Conqueror), it also coincides with the historical record from the year 837 when it was sighted by King Louis I (the Pious), reported by a chronicler called "the Astronomer", but also and most importantly, it can be observed that Halley's Comet had its perihelion in the first year, or year one (1) of the Christian Era or time after Christ a.D.
Best regards, Kevin Artemo Casanova Santini González, from Cali, Colombia.

7:00 That is heresy. Christ is not behind all religions, only one: Christianity, the ONLY true religion. All others are false. Jesus has appeared with the same message throughout all the great ages, not through multiple religions. Don't be deceived by New World Order propaganda which seeks to unify all religions into one.

I would bet money that you haven't read the bible if you think literal Christianity is a plague on Earth.
I do however see the point you are getting at. People masquerading as Christians are very destructive to humanity but that is the same for most "religious" people that bastardize the teachings of some of the wisest humans to ever teach on this Earth.
