I agree with your conclusion. If God can produce a Son through a virgin or perform any of the miracles described in the gospels, he can surely create a measly special one-time light in the sky. The hard thing for men of higher learning to comprehend is that the gospel is for the humble of heart. The gospel can be comprehended by a child who believes

The thing is, this is "Answers in Genesis" and their mission is to put Biblical events in a scientific setting.
Miracles are thus a last resort and so God using natural events is preferred outcome by this group.

    Or. It wasn’t anything naturalistic?
Could have been the Shekinah glory of God for all we know. The word “star” is English is translated from the Greek word “astér”, and doesn’t only just mean a literal “star”.
And what? The star just moved right over the house of Mary and Joseph? Or the “planets aligned” over their house?
A miracle is what it was supposed to be. Miraculous. And that’s what it was. Can’t be dogmatic about it as far as knowing exactly what it was.

(in Jewish and Christian theology) the glory of the divine presence, conventionally represented as light or interpreted symbolically (in Kabbalism as a DIVINE FEMININE aspect...aka Shakti.
Shakti means power, energy, or force. Mythologically, Shakti is always described as feminine, often personified as the goddess, Devi, the divine feminine consort of the divine masculine god Shiva. But at the deepest level, Shakti transcends gender.

Considering the shepherds remove their flocks from the fields prior to the winter season, the birth of Jesus Yeshua was more than likely in the fall and not in December as it's been traditioned passed down through the centuries before there was a "holiday". I do wish people would search history and read their bibles. No where are we told to celebrate the birth of the Messiah every year. There are pagan connections to this winter celebration that are far from biblical.

Why does it have to be a scientific explanation? Angels were recorded as stars many times in the Bible. The clue for me is - The Wise men followed this star, and then it stopped over the Child. The shepherds were visited by an angel who proclaimed Emmanuel is born tonight in a stable. Then the sky was filled with angels singing. So why couldn't the Star of Bethlehem be an angel?

How did they see it thanks to the curvature of the earth? The idea that they didn't see it before they started on the journey makes no sense.

Semiramis is also known as Artemis,Diana, Ishtar, Astarte, the queen of heaven. The catholics call Mary queen of heaven. The same queen of heaven we read about in Jeremiah 44.
Tammuz died, as an adult, but was resurrected after 40 days(here the 40 day lent is born). That’s why when you see a picture of Mary and Jesus in the catholic churches, the child is unnatural big for a baby to be.

Hi! Thanks for your FE video's, they are awesome! And your so right! According to Genesis, the sun was created on day 4 while earth was already there, when did earth started spinning around the sun? God created 2 lights in Gen.1, not a light and a reflector, stars are small, not bigger than the sun, with Joshua the sun/moon stood still (not the earth), Hizkia, same story, tower of Babel into heaven and God Who came DOWN... same story, after being baptized, Jesus saw the heavens being opened (how in the world on a spinning ball, faster than Mach1?), Moses could see too far while on mount Nebo, etc. Flat Earth is all over the place in our Bible, over 200 references. And science confirms it, as we can see too far, ships do not disappear over the horizon, we see the same stars, the entire year, while we should look 180 degrees to the other side of space, Polaris is the center, we are not wobbling around the sun with bizar speeds in all kinds of directions, there simply cannot be a vacuum next to our atmosphere, water always stays level. etc. etc. Truth is there, people only must be open to see it. When we look at PSEUDOscience, we end up with the anti-God statements like big bang THEORY, evolution THEORY, gravity THEORY, relativity THEORY, black holes, dark energy, string theory, etc. The only reasons these theories exist is to HIDE God, with nasa in the forefront with their easy-to-debunk lies. Earth is stable and does not move says Bible in many places. And man is the crown on Gods creation, we are the center.

The star was the "king star," Jupiter which conjuncted with Saturn, the Sun and the Moon in Israel's constellation, Ares in 7/6 B.C. and seen by Babylonian Magi not Persians. It came up as the morning star so the Magi were happy when they saw it and of course since Astrology was not practiced in Israel nobody understood the significance of it.

Cultural and Historical Background: In ancient Greek culture, stars were often associated with divine beings and were used for navigation and marking time. The stars were seen as part of the heavens, which were believed to be the realm of the gods. In the Jewish tradition, stars were created by God and served as signs and markers of seasons, days, and years (Genesis 1:14-18). This presentation dispels some of the westernized narrative that seems a little too much like a script. I haven’t seen any movie that accurately portrays the events. David Hocking gives a much more accurate description of what really happened and the events that led up to it. The so-called wise men was an entourage of Medes with a lot of knowledge and wisdom. It was probably a caravan, not some cartoonish event as has been told and displayed for centuries. It also occurred during one of the great Biblical feasts, Sukkot. All events occur during a Biblical feast because Yehovah wills that way since it’s part of His time clock. All families clans gathered in their specific areas. Mary and Joseph went to theirs but their extended family filled up all the living quarters. They weren’t strangers but rather family members of a very large specific clan. We need to study and understand the culture in which a book was written or an event occurred. That’s how you understand something accurately instead adding foreign elements that take away important elements from a story.

Not satisfying at all. So a bunch of magi (typically astronomers/astrologers) were irrelevant to the account because they were simply following the equivalent of a genie?
The other hypotheses were set up as straw men and didn’t present the ideas that Luke could have been using precisely astronomical terms like “halted” can mean the point where an object reaches its peak before descending and “where the young Child was” doesn’t say house yet. The place the Child was is Bethlehem. Thus it might being saying the Star rose to its highest position as they finally reached Bethlehem. Then they just looked for a house that had a newborn. The town wasn’t that big.

@@statutesofthelord I absolutely disagree with your opinion.
      I witness AIG doing this;
      2 Timothy 3:16-17
"All scripture is given by inspiration from God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the person/man maybe perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."
      & 1 Peter 3:15-16
"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts and be ready always to give an answer to everyone that asks a reason for the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
Having a good conscience, where as when they speak evil of you as evildoers they maybe ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ."
      & 2 Timothy 4:2-5
verse 5 "But you watch in all things endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of your ministry."
AIG brought out the correct verses and context to the texts. Their exegesis was excellent IMO.
Also they did their homework about the actual historical dates and early witnesses to the time of the beginning of the 1st century.
This teaching combined actually strengthens the sheep and the body of Christ.

"We have no idea when Jesus was born," you say?
      That's what YOU say.
      1. The Rabbis, experts at calculating dates of Jewish events, calculate the birth of Christ around the Spring time, during the month of Nisan.
      2. Luke 2:7-14, tells of the Angel of the Lord greeting the shepherds tending to their flock out on the filed at night, with "greetings of glad tidings and great joy."
IF THIS WAS A WINTER SCENE, THOSE WERE THE DUMBEST SHEPHERDS EVER TO BE OUT ON THE FIELD ON A COLD WINTER NIGHT.
      3. The Bible uses lots of symbolism.
*Spring* symbolizes birth/new life; that's when new plants *spring* forth, and new lambs are born.
On the other hand, *Winter* symbolizes death. That's when MY apple and pear trees (which have already lost their leaves during the Fall) stop producing new leaves. That's when bears and other animals hibernate.

*The Enuma Elish would later be the inspiration for the Hebrew scribes who created the text now known as the biblical Book of Genesis.* Prior to the 19th century CE, the Bible was considered the oldest book in the world and its narratives were thought to be completely original. In the mid-19th century CE, however, European museums, as well as academic and religious institutions, sponsored excavations in Mesopotamia to find physical evidence for historical corroboration of the stories in the Bible. ***These excavations found quite the opposite, however, in that, once cuneiform was translated, it was understood that a number of biblical narratives were Mesopotamian in origin.***
*Famous stories such as the Fall of Man and the Great Flood were originally conceived and written down in Sumer,* translated and modified later in Babylon, and reworked by the Assyrians ***before they were used by the Hebrew scribes for the versions which appear in the Bible.***
***In revising the Mesopotamian creation story for their own ends, the Hebrew scribes tightened the narrative and the focus but retained the concept of the all-powerful deity who brings order from chaos.*** Marduk, in the Enuma Elish, establishes the recognizable order of the world - *just as God does in the Genesis tale* - and human beings are expected to recognize this great gift and honor the deity through service.

Interesting. I'm not theologian or expert, but here are my thoughts on the events and people involved.
When Joseph & Mary traveled to Bethlehem, it was not in the winter or in December for that matter; it was nearing the Autumn season right after the harvest had been completed allowing families to pay the tribute that was forced upon everyone by Caesar Augustus and Cyrenius. They would not have traveled from Nazareth to Bethlehem in the freezing temperatures and/or snow. That would have been hazardous for both, but mostly for Mary.
Considering that scripture says that the "star" led the wise men to Jerusalem and then moved to hover over where Joseph, Mary and Jesus were staying. An actual star does not move like that, especially in our firmament/sky. The star the wise men initially saw was definitely a conjunction or several stars passing through a constellation signifying something momentous. As mentioned in this presentation, they Magi knew someone special among the Jews was to rise up, and they wanted to meet the newborn King of the Jews.
I firmly believe it *was* an actual heavenly angel who led these wanderers to Bethlehem to find Jesus now living in the house, because the "star" moved before the Magi and came to stop over the place where the family was staying. IF this was merely a star, it could not stay put and designate a specific region like a building. The place where they stayed was most likely the same structure where the stable existed underneath the living quarters. It's interesting how most stables were on the first floor, with human quarters being on the second and third floors. Scripture says that after He was born, a little time had passed from when the shepherds came to visit them in the stable... to when the wise men finally arrived and found them in the house where they were staying [Matthew 2:1-12].
It's unimportant how man Magi traveled to see Jesus. The word is plural for Magus which in turn also infer they were magicians, astronomers/astrologers; the equivalent might be like our modern day scientists and scholars. Some references infer them as being Zoroastrian priests. It is reasonable to say there were more than just the Magi who arrived, since they usually traveled with servants, camels and components for shelter as well as food. Scripture mentions three gifts that were presented to Mary & Joseph for Jesus, not how many Magi there were. Tradition leaves room for speculation which tends to get inflated and mutated over time. When they first saw this conjunction, they may have had plenty of time to research its meaning, plan their travel then set out to leave. By then, 4 BC could've arrived to when Jesus may have been born right before Herod died.
