I have been having these ossues for almost 2 years now on and off. And i cant stress enough how important is your mental health among all other things. These are symptoms and signs of what is going in your brain, wether its stress, anxiety, depression etc .

Totally agree! To me, mental health is the most important thing when it comes to our overall health, not just gut health. When there's a mess in our head, it can often lead to a mess in our health.

It’s great to see other people who are getting healthy and motivating others too. I’ve lost weight twice after having kids and now I’m on the journey again after my 3rd baby. This time around I made my own healthy lifestyle journals/planners. I’m using them and sell them too. If those can help at least 1 person to change their life then I’ll be happier.

This video is so far the best information I have found so far. I have found similar studies that mention the same things, unlike a lot of hoax videos out there that promotes weird diets.
In addition to this, there's a lot of evidence on exercising 30-60 min. grows beneficial bacteria in your gut. I have had a lot of issues with my gut as well, I did everything that is mentioned in here, but for me, eating the right stuff was not enough in itself. The exercising actually did the rest of the work, right now I am running 3 times a week and lifting weights 2 times a week and my gut is absolutely fantastic.
I can't eat gluten anymore, but anything else. Regarding gluten there's also evidence suggesting it's promoting inflammation, so I would recommend try to avoid it, even if you don't have celiac disease (allergic to gluten). And once you try making your own food from scratch, it's honestly no issue, living a glutenfree life.

This video is absolutely incredible. I have been experiencing bloat/indigestion/acid reflux for just over a year now. I've already tried most of the things in the video but the only thing I've recently introduced is change of mindset. I've been taking things slower, being religious with mediation/yoga and being more of an optimist. I've already been noticing a difference in how my gut feels.
Going to reintroduce the low formap for a little while and stay on top of the prebiotics & probiotics, but most importantly staying calm and making sure to relax.
Thank you so much:) Good luck to everyone else who's going through it!

Hi, may I know how is your condition now?

    • @marlana.bright
      @marlana.bright หลายเดือนก่อน

@@davidorawe3931 Yesss I have gut issues.
      Candida overgrowth particularly.
The good bacteria was killed off by too many antibiotics in my youth years.
I have found that following the candida elimination diet as closely as I can is hugely important for me.
However, I haven’t yet had the full transition to total removal of the things that feed the candida beast.
It has been a couple years of experimenting and having the challenge of removing what I previously relied on for fuel, and adjusting my lifestyle to orient around my food.
But it’s really so important to make the shift. Our bodies send us signals so we can fix things before they get really bad.
For me, flare ups look like dermatitis.
Rashes on my face and scalp.
      Eczema and dandruff basically.
But also covert symptoms like brain fog, fatigue, headaches, body aches, etc.
While avoiding the inflammatory things is important, I also found huge help from introducing helpful things.
I heavily rely on drinking Pau D’Arco tea for candida killer properties. Same with caprylic acid.
Fungicides such as coconut oil and oregano oil - topically and internally.
I also take apple cider vinegar supplements with b vitamins for the probiotics as well as brain health.
      I also take probiotics.
I strive to avoid the following:
      Gluten
      Sugar
      Alcohol
      Dairy
      Starch
      Caffeine
      Corn
      Soy
However, here’s how that looks realistically:
I only eat gluten when it’s batter on meat - because meat is important for my gut.
I don’t eat breads, pastas, crackers etc - even though I really love them. They give me immediate reactions so I avoid for now. :(
I only do honey or agave or maple syrup in my coffee, but really I know I should give those up too.
Sweets like cookies and donuts and candy are pretty much out of the question anymore, and fruit smoothies or kombuchas too sadly because they’re really mostly sugar.
I have reaction right away when I do have them.
I have alcohol semi regularly as I work in restaurants and I just enjoy it. But I drink as sugar free and gluten free as possible. Red wine or mojitos for me, mostly.
Dairy isn’t good for me generally. Hard cheese seems okay though. Though no ice cream or milk.
I honestly don’t avoid caffeine. I just don’t drink sugary lattes like I used to.
I don’t feel too sensitive to starches, like not a quick reaction, and they’re a typical aspect of gluten free substitutes so it’s hard to say no to them when they’re not creating immediate results.
Corn and soy is inflammatory I guess but I don’t notice it much thankfully.
Corn tortillas instead of flour, yknow.
      It’s a lot. It’s all a lot lol.
But it’s my path, I guess.
I’ve learned more than I ever intended to and I feel better and better every day.
I’m also a recovering vegetarian / vegan and introducing meat back into my diet has been huge, unfortunately but also fortunately lol
Good luck to anyone on this journey!
For me, I find it feels less lonely every day. :)
      I hope this helps!!

After an entire childhood, including teens plus early 20's, of a very unhealthy mindset, the digestive distress was unbearable. When you have a lifetime of damage to unravel it's not a quick transformation. My digestive illnesses turned into liver illness (since the two systems are intimately linked) and the overpopulation of "bad bugs" including viruses led to a horrible time with low grade Epstein Barr infection for the past 2 years. It's been a rocky road to say the least. Now I'm learning to be positive and heal my wounded heart from days gone by by feeling and acknowledging any brokenness. Slowly healing. Hard to heal when life in this world is so chaotic. It's tempting to scream and hide from the mess. But that would be very stress inducing 😅 So it's best to look for the positive in everything, feel what you feel, and anchor yourself in Jesus Christ.
Prayers to anyone in chaotic health messes. Health messes are not here to ruin you, I promise. Like Anastasia said, it's happening FOR you. Believe it. It has more to offer then it takes, and time will show you that. Be of good cheer!!

for anyone who struggles with gut issues - many of these recommendations are not working for all types of bodies. For me, fermented foods, plant based foods, omega 3, collagen, grains (even soaked), legumes and probiotics create so much more bloating and fermentation in my gut. In my own research i discovered that some people who are highly sensitive, have ADHD, autism, are more artistic and kinetic, or more empathic than others, can actually become way sicker in response to these foods. It is best to not follow the general advise that you see everywhere about these foods, to take it slowly, experiment with diets richer in animal protein, and keep a food journal, to learn listening to your body instead of outside advice. Bodies are different and what works for one doesnt work for all.

For me it gave me constipation if I ate beef, which has always constipated me. Also my startle reflex was waaayyyy heightened. And episodes of insomnia. I think going into ketosis upped my cortisol/adrenalin which I'm also hyper sensitive to. Added in 30g oats and some brown rice crackers and the problems are resolved.

Not only is “carnivore” horrible for the environment, but it pushes the meat industry which is wrought with animal abuse and torture; their life is not worth less than your temporary comfort and taste preferences. Plant based diet is just, if not MORE effective in that it won’t cause mental decay and Alzheimer’s the way a meat diet will. If you won’t go meat-free for the most vulnerable population on the planet, do it because in your short-term future, you’re body will start dying inside out because of it

I eat a whole food plant diet, no oil, added sugar or ultra processed foods, you can eat a lot and yes, sometimes I have a "baby belly" but I've learnt to love it and also disguise it with jackets, etc. I am healthy, I am slim everywhere else on my body, hey, nobody's perfect, learn to love yourself and don't look at those influencers with a flat stomach, they've probably starved themselves and not drunk anything for hours before shooting their vlogs, everybody has a bit of a tummy after eating, especially women, this is normal and natural. On this "diet" you can eat a lot and this is very satisfying, especially for volume eaters and former yo-yo dieters or eating disorders sufferers, it's the only thing that's helped me lose weight and maintain my slim weight. I feel great, some days I may be a little bloated, there are more important issues in life than looking flat, as long as you feel well and are healthy these are more important

There is some research information showing that stress and anxiety can affect digestive function through the brain-gut axis. Stress can reduce blood flow to the intestines, slow digestion and increase bloating. Additionally, stress can alter the contractions of the intestines, leading to irregular air movement and a feeling of bloating. And I find this to be really true, it greatly affects the functioning of the organs in the digestive system.

HOW you eat is just as important as what you eat. Sit down. Be calm. Enjoy. Chew. Then chew even more. You absolutely cannot digest properly if you are stressed, that includes lunch with collegues in a crowded room as wellness your own thoughts.

Why low carbs? Eat (sweet) potatoes (with no oil or other fatty dressings), they will not make you fat, they're low-cal and very filling, also winter squashes, it's also chestnut season, they're so good roasted or boiled and again, very low in fat. Your body needs good carbs, no cakes, etc. but potatoes, brown rice, these are all good for you, don't be afraid of them and also be patient and go slow. Dairy is bad, fruit and veggies are GOOD, please do not cut down on fruit, cut down on animal products and processed foods.

Pain from being constipated is worse than from having lot of gas and the diet was boring/too restrictive so i quit after 3 months. I tried psyllium for a while, didn't help in my case. Did intermittent fasting (for another reasons) and didn't have any symptoms nor relief so going long times without food doesn't make a difference, for me at least. I have been struggling with IBS for years now. And it only seems to get worse even when I'm eating lots of fiber and fermented foods. I have really painful gas and my belly makes really loud noises which makes me scared to go into silent rooms and this causes much stress. I always have abdominal pains and spasms. I've been trying a couple of IBS pills but those do absolutely nothing. It's driving me up the walls! I also started moving more but almost every time I get back from a run I have the worst intestinal cramps and I have to be on the toilet for hours. Which makes me almost scared to go running again although I love to do it. Doctors also haven't been helpful because they say there is nothing to do against IBS and you just have to learn to live with it. Everyone says that a low fodmap diet should heal it but I just don't know how to get started.

Start with mindfulness breathings with deep inhales and exhales that should touch your abdomen. Relax yourself in every situation. When you compliment this with healthy food and lifestyle, you will see better yourself. Its not just but also thought processes that can influence our gut.

I’m so sorry to hear you are struggling. I tell people (that don’t suffer with gut issues) all the time that medicine/doctors have not caught up to IBS issues. There are no real means to exactly identify what unique problems we face. It’s beyond frustrating.

If anyone watching this has severe gut issues, the GAPs approach is likely to assist better than what is suggested in this video. If the gut is very inflamed then plant based food is not tolerated very well. There is a huge amount of case study evidence that demonstrates that animal products are necessary when suffering from severe gut issues, especially if your lineage has used animal products as staple foods for many generations

Hi.. you said to include foods like yogurt, lentils, legumes and whole wheat. But later you are saying to eliminate dairy, sugar and gluten. I'm from India and we eat chapati and curd. Eliminating whole wheat and dairy products is not sustainable in our region. Can you clarify it a bit more?

Hi there! If you're not sensitive to gluten - don't eliminate it, but focus on whole grains to get some fiber. With dairy - I would recommend to stick to fermented dairy that is easier for digestion and rich in probiotics. But again it depends on your digestion, I'm not your doctor, just sharing my opinion.

Thank you for the video! What about when you take a probiotic supplement that has a prebiotic in it and it makes you bloated. What can I do then if my body reacts poorly to prebiotic? I also can’t digest fat well so I can’t even go on keto. It seems like a never ending cycle of trying and hurting. Thank you
