    Hi, I watched this video a few months ago. It has literally changed my life. I am now using about 10 spices daily as a warm drink that has replaced my coffee. The result has been weight loss and I'm no longer limping from knee inflammation. I needed to say, thank you to you!🥰☺️

      Hi Angela, I was wondering of you toast or ground the seeds first before boiling them in water, or put them in the water whole? Thanks! - Zowie

    • @brownangelchats
      @brownangelchats 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@ZowieA Hi Zowie, I haven't toasted the seeds. I mix about a table spoon of each of the spices in a sandwich bag. When I am ready to make my drink, I put about a tablespoon of the spice mixture inside on an empty tea bag. I let it steep and I drink it with some oat milk, and a non sugar sweetener. It tastes somewhat like a chai. I also use palm jaggery and recently added Amla.

      @aromitamallik 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@adinafukaz9398Hi! I'm sure the original commenter can reply when she sees this, but meanwhile I'll let you know how I use them.
      For both cloves and mustard seeds, I lightly fry them in oil like any whole spice while making curry, khichdi or any other dish. Personally I love the flavour of mustard, so I also use black mustard seeds in oil before making fried rice. Also you can grind the mustard seeds and use it as a paste for marinade for fish curries or steamed fish, as we use traditionally. You can use cloves while making tea.
      I personally don't use that much hing, but my friends and relatives use it in curry or sabzi.
      I hope that was a bit helpful!

    In 2020 i became very ill & multiple doctors were perplexed as to my condition ,even after many different blood tests , x-rays & MRI . It became obvious as time went by that i was going to have to take matters in my own hands . After much research i came up with a regime of Yoga , meditation & a juice which i would drink everyday ...fresh ginger & turmeric , cayenne pepper , kale , lemon juice ,garlic & a touch of honey . This was the beginning of my healing process . In 2022 i was finally diagnosed with M.E 😒 but by then , i had managed to get it under control just by practicing the above . You have to soak the seeds to remove the anti nutrients before consumption. Those with digestive issues should not be consuming seeds without the lectins being removed otherwise it will offset the healing process. Before I healed my gut consuming seeds that were not activated were detrimental and I got serious reactions that were life threatening.

    Fennel seeds used to be my family's go-to tea (tissane?) after a heavy meal but it's expensive and has to be stored in the fridge due to the hot weather making it rot faster (I live in a tropical country). Anise seeds have been a good alternative. I boil the seeds in water and drink the warm tea after a heavy meal. It works well for indigestion and migraines and it helps me sleep too.
    Just a tip, take some turmeric tablets, ginger tea and/or anise seed tea when you're in Southeast Asia. The meals can get heavy and can cause gastric issues.

      Triphala is also an easily available excellent Ayurvedic herb (Amazon or Banyan Botanicals etc) which cleanses gut, lungs,
      liver, kidneys and all the bodily systems. Triphala is NOT be taken during menses, pregnancy or diarrhea since it stimulates the body’s “downward movement”. Triphala is super rich in vitamin C and some iron etc. take once daily as tablet or 1/2 teaspoon triphala powder on tongue…can be also taken as a tea-recommended taken on empty stomach first thing in morning or at nights, on empty stomach. Excellent for constipation, bloating, gas and other digestive issues. Triphala works gently and slowly, so take once daily for 2-3 months as an excellent detox.

    I use the 5 spices for a while now. It has made a big difference in my life. I gained weight and my constipation is so much better then even with laxative medicines. Thank you for the extra advice to sauté the herbs first in some oil or ghee. From now one, I will do that before I make my curry or make my meals. I will make sure to look for the Ajwain in an Indian store! As a vata, thank you so much for this video Radhi!🌹🩷

    Thank you Radhi this was so easy to understand how to use the spices even though I use several of them, here I learned how to combine which for what effect and for morning ritual of adding which to hot water besides my usual of cloves & cardamom. Taste of cumin I've thought of as not a morning spice. I use in lentils and hummus but I'll now try in morning too. ❤
