I kinda hoped there would be adept special weapons. I kinda dislike how these blue weapons looks with the glorious golden primaries. It just doesn't contrast well imo lol. But I kinda understand Bungie not doing this since Trials has been nearly the same in terms of rewards anyway
Why were you using perfect balance on the Stellar Vestige? The extra range would be SO much better, and with the added range it outclasses the saladin's vigil by far. At least when I played around with it, the charge rate makes it so nice.
Have to disagree with your thoughts on the fusion, I've spent a lot of time with it and firstly you have it specced wrong, go all out on range, and it is absolutely top tier, one of the 3 best Fusions in the game just behind SV.
patrick have you thought about the shotgun for pve? Ive had a lot of success whilst using oiled frame and full auto. Pretty decent for the first part of aksis in the raid.
My problems with this video: 1. Snapshot with both the Word and Vestige is better 2. Linear is easily the best scope on any fusion 3. Word is one of the best snipers in the game, mostly due to the mid-level aim assist combined with MASSIVE handling speed

Just one tip: linear Compensator is the clear choice between Accurized, field Choke and Linear Compensator, it has the same -10 to aim assist but offers a boost to the recoil direction stats by 20. If I were you I'd aim for Smallbore/Braced Frame + Enhanced battery/Quickdraw + Replenish/Performance bonus/Hot Swap + Rangefinder/Battlerunner/Life support. Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use accelerated coils. This fusion rifle requires 4 bolts to kill most high armored guardians(excluding very specific max armor Titan/Warlocks) which is 50 damage per bolt. If you use accelerated coils that'll reduce it to 49 per bolt which isn't ideal now that it requires 5 bolts to kill high armored guardians.

Accelerated coils while usually not beneficial, seems pretty good on this weapon because it still kills in the same amount of bolts. There's no drawbacks
How many people use low armor? It's more efficient to use accelerated coils since medium/high armour both take 5 bolts with or without, and Snapshot isn't really useful since it was nerfed.
The Unravelling Thread is in my opinion one of the best PvE shotty in the game. Shottys aren't a go to in PvE but if you want a good one it is an absolute beast in PvE.
Ms666slayer invective wasn't affected by the full auto pellet spread changes so even with send it has the pellet spread of a 10 range shotgun. if you want a full auto shotgun you still want a matador
Full auto on the shotgun is way better, and I go flawless 3 times every weekend since the shotgun came out. If you know how to bait, and confuse/juke people, that shotgun is one the best.
Linear compensator is the better sight. That's one of the reasons why the saldin's vigil is so strong. Vertical recoil patterns make it cake to melt people.

Personally I think The Winged Word is much better than Stellar Vestige. The Winged Word is almost as good as a god rolled LDR or Longbow or 1000YS. Stellar Vestige is just subpar, or even bad. Decently rolled Darkblade's Spite or especially the godly, best special in the game, Saladin's Vigil, will absolutely destroy Stellar Vestige in every way possible. Even good roll's on almost any of the vendor Fusions are better than Stellar Vestige. This comes from someone who uses a decent Saladin's Vigil in almost every match outside Elimination, unless I want to snipe. Then I use Ice Breaker even though it is baaaaaad. It is still better to have a bad sniper with ammo on it than a good one and no bullets to shoot...
I had really high hopes for Winged Word; I'm not a good sniper but have been using them more recently to improve my game. As much as good handling speed is always a must, I feel like you don't need Injection Mold and Snapshot, although I'm sure someone will disagree (and feel free to). I don't love the scope, and it's so rare that I fancy challenging a roaming super with a sniper that it doesn't really matter if I can't kill them in one hit. For now I'll stick with my Longbow with Longview 10, Quickdraw and Hidden Hand.
Its pretty sad that the Trials weapons since Y2 dont feel like crucible weapons that much, they should be the best of the best for crucible, only the pulse rifle and the sniper are the only good stuff. The scout is a beast for PvE but it sucks for PvP since is not that fast to kill in the current meta, the hand cannon is mediocre because of its archetype and the range is crap, the shotgun is meh average, the fusion is good if you like them but Saladins Vigil and Plan C are way better, and the Auto rifle is good but kicks like a mule (auto rifles need counterbalance to be usable nowdays), Bungie should buff them in that matter just lower that crazy kick they have. Overall the Trials weapons should be looked at and optimized.
For fusions, you want to max the range and stability as much as possible. If that fusion was Max impact, accelerated coils work perfectly because it's still a 4 bolt kill, with the fire rate of a Saladins. That's why I'm trying to get an accelerated coil dark blade spite.
Hmm, I think you should go with Linear Compensator and Hot Swap on the fusion. Hot Swap is like Shot Package for fusion rifles. Shotguns are all about range, but fusion rifles need a decent balance of range and making sure your bolts land. Hot Swap and Linear Compensator are fantastic for getting those bolts lined up and into your target.
Gonna have to disagree with how you had the FR set up. Linear compensator and Rifled barrel are a great combo because making that recoil a nice vertical line makes the it exceptional to manage so you don't need stability and can stack for huge range. Which should help with the accelerated coils. As the 5 bolt kill range is shorter with it. Also knowing your play style, i seriously recommend an icarus fusion rifle, I'm also a hugely aerial player and icarus is a godsend particularly when pared with braced frame and hidden hand just to guide those shots a little be cleaner
Fairly easy to obtain... I now own about 7 fusion rifles 6 shotguns 5 scouts 3 of which are adept 4 auto rifles 1 adept 1 pulse adept (yay) and no hand cannon and no sniper. :(

I love stacking injection mold and snapshot. Slap that on a bladedancer or warlock w/ ophidian and the handling speed is insane. Haven't put it down yet. I even dismantled my 1k stare

When it comes to the trials Shotgun, I would say if you like using shotguns in PvE, it is a legit good choice of a shotgun, good damage, good reload speed and you can add full auto to the gun. It is a great weapon to have until you get yourself a god roll Party Crasher or Matador though.
This shotgun is my go too. I rarely trade with matadors. I always win shotgun battles. I guess when you know when too push or hold back with well ranged shot guns determines the victory.

For the fusion rifle, Linear Compensator gives you a slight, albeit negligible, damage boost but more importantly, it adds recoil direction which helps alleviate fusions' biggest problem: RNG bolt spread. Definitely the barrel mod to go for. You'll never see the difference in range and even though the stability bar is also lower, the recoil pattern is more vertical and predictable; similar to counterbalance, but not quite on that level. This info is also applicable to Saladin's Vigil. Linear Compensator really makes fusion recoil a lot more consistent for whichever fusion rifles it can roll on.
He and I were discussing that last night and the difference between barrel mods is a 15 AA difference and speed of the bolts by an enhanced margin after applying the Rangefinder perk. For Saladin's Vigil, absolutely I would use it on that gun even if smooth ballistics was an option, but that's because of the 4-bolting that Vigil does with that barrel mod. Vestige doesn't need it, plus the recoil pattern as we tested on the Cosmodrome wall was already reliably upward, it was the bolt spread that was inconsistent at times.
Patrick my man.... Now this isn't me hating on you cause lord knows I always adore your content but why is this solely a crucible commentary on what these guns can do why not give us some comments on PVE also. But as always amazing video!!

it does 49. you can kill a good minority of low armor players without it in 4 bolts

Hmmm crucible sniper has base aim assist of 8 even with hidden hand it's not good for a fledgling sniper.
Wish I could get some of these buuuut the gold package seems to only wanna give the y2 ToO guns.

Use snapshot on the sniper. It allows for some insane quick scopes if you use both injection mold and snapshot.
Full auto is actually better than rangefinder, it decreases spread and shoots 3X faster so you shoot and shoot again to win against 1v1 shottys

You'll never see the difference in range and even though the stability bar is also lower, the recoil pattern is more vertical and predictable; similar to counterbalance, but not quite on that level. This info is also applicable to Saladin's Vigil. Linear Compensator really makes fusion recoil a lot more consistent for whichever fusion rifles it can roll on.
He and I were discussing that last night and the difference between barrel mods is a 15 AA difference and speed of the bolts by an enhanced margin after applying the Rangefinder perk. For Saladin's Vigil, absolutely I would use it on that gun even if smooth ballistics was an option, but that's because of the 4-bolting that Vigil does with that barrel mod. Vestige doesn't need it, plus the recoil pattern as we tested on the Cosmodrome wall was already reliably upward, it was the bolt spread that was inconsistent at times.

the shotgun is okay with full auto in pve. aside from that statement, every pve section would of been "its okay in pve, but there are way better options".
I got a event horizon with shortgaze, underdog, firefly, snapshot. You guys think it's better than the Trials sniper? I just can't use hidden hand on snipers, I miss so many headshots from it.
