  • There is no better feeling in golf than getting perfect contact with your driver and golf ball, BUT 70% OF GOLFERS AND senior golfers are upgrading to these golf clubs! It all based on a golf club that you use more from the tee, from the fairway and from the rough. For many amateurs the just think driver driver driver...BUT now 70% of my clients and has become addictive to using these golf clubs!

I'm a senior golfer and put the 17 degree hy-wood in the bag recently. This club is the game changer you're predicting. Unbelievably long, ridiculously easy to hit, And amazingly versatile. My favourite club now.

    Interesting content.
    I'm 62.
I binned my driver last year for both Cleveland 5w and 9w (24°). As well, I'm only playing 6-8-PW, my 58°, a chipper and my putter. I'm playing more strategically instead of try to whack the hell out of the ball.
I've lowered my handicap from 28 to a current 16.

Not using the Cleveland brand but I now carry a 6, 5, and 4 hybrid and 5 & 3 woods and a driver and couldn't be happier with my long game. I considered a 3 hybrid instead of the 5 wood but I'm happy I didn't. Shot Scope has my p-average at 237 and my average at 203 which makes sense since my home courses first hole is about 208 and I use the 5 wood on it almost religiously.
The course is an executive and that first hole is a par 4 on the card. Just putting a smooth first swing on that 5 wood gives me lots of eagle putts since adding it to my bag. Got another just two nights ago to tie the hole in our skins game.
It'll take a lot to make me want to give it up. And I'm never putting the irons back in the bag that I replaced with hybrids. The hybrids are simply better. They fly higher. Stop better. And they're simply easier to hit well. My 5 hybrid is probably my favorite if I had to choose one. I never seem to hit it badly. And I can flight it easy enough as well.
The 6 hybrid I bought on a lark. Couldn't get one from Cobra to match the others so I tried out a Wilson. It's got a different lie angle and shaft length as standard and that took some getting used to but now that I've had it a few months it's a joy to swing. But it's not easy to flight low at all. It soars to the heavens. Lol Leaps tall buildings (and trees 😂) with ease but on real windy days I like having the 6 iron better. I can't get the same height but I can flight it and that important during hurricane season when we're getting high winds a lot from the summer storms in Florida.

Most insightful. didn’t know such a club existed. Just this week on another channel person spoke about the Hy-wood he uses. He looks to be early 60s like myself and got my attention then. Glad you reviewed. Thank you for the great video.

I (58 years old) am using the xxio 3+ hybrid 17 degree for 4 years now. It is my go to club for a 190m carry. I have been searching hi and low for a 17d hybrid and happened to bumped into the Cleveland 17d hi-wood. Tested it and loved it. It would be my replacement when my xxio 17d hybrid decided toquit on me. I would use hybrid over wood anytime of the day. It is so much easier to use with a shorter shaft. Also, the smaller head of the hybrid suit my eyes so much better.

I am not the demographic, but LOVE my HyWood 3+. Mine is 2 years old, incredibly easy to hit. Like you said i like it off the tee for short par 4s or dog legs. Great for Par 5s off fairway

Thanks for doing this. I love my Hywood 3+ Last years model is 18 degrees, i wonder why they changed it. It is my go to club. Its the most used club in my bag. Im 52 and slow swing speed, its a godsend

Good content Alex (hope I've got that right). As it happens I play a Hy-Wood 3+. It has replaced my TM Stealth 5W. You have correctly identified the parameters. I am the demographic. I do use it on long Par 3's, occasionally off the tee at short narrow Par 4's where a younger golfer might hit 4 iron and certainly second shots on most Par 5's. So sometimes it comes out of the bag 10 times in a round. I cannot lie: it is a cheat stick. Last but not least it does a great job of bridging the gap between my 5 iron and my Mini-D. (yep I carry one of those as well). PS.: It would help to know what shaft you had in it. In my case it is a Proj. X Cypher (S): lots of height and as I use it into the wind at long Par 3's I can stop the ball on the green without any trouble at all.

I now have a 7 wood (actually a 19deg Stealth plus 5 wood cranked to 21 deg with a 7 wood shaft) and a 21 deg 4 hybrid that I chop & change depending on course and/or conditions due to flight, land angle, run etc! Edit to add, my daughter plays and is strong enough for men’s regular clubs and loves her (old) Cleveland woods! She is getting back into it so I’m going to copy or forward this video to her!

I have been using the Cleveland Halo #2 hybrid 16 degree, off the tee for three seasons, 200’ yards and then an 8i or less in on par fours! Thanks for the review.

I am senior player but by 1 year! with a 105-115 MPH Diver speed, 4 Hybrid 22* 200-210 yards , 7W 21* 210-225yds , 5W 215-230 yards. Plus I have seen crazy flyers 240-250 yds but dead aim. Par 5 totally fine. 18* I find great on a hilly course so the ball is never flat at your feet.
Your correct there is a pitch sound on strike, I found a a HL 5W head £25 on Ebay fitted a 60gram tipped 42.5" driver shaft. It feels and goes 230 yards no issue. Very under rated brand.

They are great clubs, I’m fairly new to the game and got a full set of halo xl’s. The driver is good but the fairway woods are brilliant, I can hit the ball straighter and further with the 3 than the driver. Great review as well 👍

When I get older and slower (50’s now), I will go with a higher lofted driver with a much shorter shaft.

I have the 2021 18 degree HyWood. Can't hit it anywhere near what Alex hits it, but the darn thing can find greens, or get them near enough for a good chance at an up and down. I need my Srixon ZX 3 wood on par 5s and 200+ yd par 3s, so the 5 wood is the odd club out at my course. The 5 wood is a bit longer than the HyWood, but less reliable. (As though it's the club's fault for screwing up. ) The HyWood is also more trustworthy for me than my 22 degree hybrid.

Great video as normal!!! I game the new 2024 3+ Hywood and it’s amazing, even better than the previous Hywood. Go buy one! Question for you, I am curious as well as the golfing world are keen to see a comparison between the new 2024 4+ 20 Degree Hywood vs 2024 halo XL 4 21 degree hybrid. These clubs are what are in the majority of average golfers bags and the differences in carry, height, distance, uses would be a great video and a video that would get so may watches/reviews. Can you do this?
