also moliminous is great to have you back.....i like when you are an easygoing-kinda-jerk. We dont like when you go berserk on a season finale(even if it deserves it, you are not mr enter dude)....please don t change.....and good video.....
Moliminous I hope tempest shadow, capper, captain celaeno, princess skystar, queen novo, songbird serenade, and Grubber return in season 8 or 9 of MLP in the future
Twilight had her reasons to act like that, her only real big mistake being the way she raged everything on Pinkie. Think about It. She litterally saw her entire home being desteoyed and everyone there being attacked by some kind of monster creatures, her sister in law and Celestia(with we all know It's her weakness in many ways) being turned to stone in front of her eyes. We also know how she changes under pressure or under a huge responsibility this time being one of the most presing moments of her life. She didn't deny friendship but as we've seen many times before she ussually can tell weather a person is lying or can't be trusted. She knew Capper was originally going to trick them but nobody listened, this being her first impression on the outside world with made her not trying to take any chances with the others. And let's face It. The mane 5 did some reckless things during the adventure. And after the incredibly selfish act Queen Novo did,not giving a thing for so many lifes, to save your entire home and race you would've stolen the pearl too. As I said her only mistake was during their fight with was immediately regretted. In the end she risked her life to save everyone and gave as always a second chance to the one who could've destroyed her life If she failed. Also considering the huge possibility of the Storm King to lie when he said he could give Tempest's horn back well who knows. Maybe It wasn't restorable after all. I mean what did he have to loose If It was truly that easy with that power. So yeah I think Twilight's behavior was pretty justified.
I'll give this movie 3/10. 1 point for the art and animation, 1 point for new characters and voice acting, 1 point for Daniel Ingram and 0 points for the unoriginal story.
I saw the movie in a completely empty theater. It made me feel even more awkward than if it were a theater full of children and soccer moms... One minute before the movie started I began to feel as if they wouldn't even start the projector. There weren't even commercials.
I hope tempest shadow, capper, captain celaeno, princess skystar, queen novo, songbird serenade, and Grubber return in season 8 or 9 of MLP in the future
I want most of them - with the exceptions of Grubber and Capper - to come back into the show. Grubber is an annoying prick of a little dude, and Capper is... I don't know. He's eh. Maybe a few minutes of screen time but nothing major at all. /////////////////////////////////////////////////// Regardless, money is the real decision maker here. And unless Hasbro wants to bankrupt themselves on big names in episodes, then dollar signs say none of them (except maybe Skystar and Novo) will return. VAs weren't cheap at all. That, and if they bring everyone into S8 that they should based on continuity alone, they'd have 12 or 13 additional characters that would have to be included at some point. Starswirl and the Guardians plus everyone that you mentioned from the movie. Screen time wouldn't allow that even if dollar signs would. It sucks, but that - as of now - is the unfortunate reality. Who knows? Maybe they'll pull a miracle. But chances are sadly pretty low for that happening.
I agree with you on some things, while obviously disagreeing on others. One is Twilight. As Silver Quill said, in a mere few days, she'd seen some horrible things, her mentors and sister in law turned to stone, her home enslaved and treated like an item for sale, combined with being the only alicorn princess (aside from Flurryheart, whom I assume was safe in the Crystal Empire with her father during the movie) and was even putting pressure on herself by thinking, because she was the only princess left, she SHOULD be able to figure out what to do, but was failing. I see Twi's actions as justifiable That would
Not really.. she has only marginal knowledge about Hippogryphs, she didn't really know what was reason for Celestia sending Luna there. So presuming that she need find them was bit desperate and justified only if that would be only option. Way more obvious solution would be going to Cristal Empire and bring back the military.. or at least send Starlight there, but movie obviously ignore the logic. I don't blame Taillight here, I blame Allspark Pictures here for obvious plot-holes.
+TheRezro: Oi, not to ignite conflict, because that's not what I want to do with this reply. I just want to point out a few things. ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// 1.) Allspark - and the original writer - didn't even know Starlight was going to play a role in the show at all anymore - hence the reason she had no dialogue whatsoever and only like... five seconds of screen time with Trixie. The plot and drafts were made years ago. 2.) The Crystal Empire doesn't even have a legitimate standing military. Granted - I have no idea where the hell the -useless- Royal Guards were, but the only thing in the Empire at the time was Shining Armor, the crystal ponies, and Flurry Heart (whom I disregard as useful). Nowhere near enough to halt the Storm King's -mostly mediocre- forces. Now if the Yaks, Changelings, Dragons, and/or Griffons got involved... that would've been pretty damn awesome. XD Unfortunately, that leads to my last point. 3.) They didn't have enough screen time. Yes - they could've saved a lot of it by cutting out songs, but it would've taken away a good side of the movie. I actually liked most of the songs within the movie, and I was surprised. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Bonus: I don't know why Discord wasn't there. Fun Fact: Rainbow Dash is a terrible soldier.
@Whiskey-Foxtrot 929 1) So how that is a excuse? This isn't a complex story where rewrites could collapse carefully planed puzzle pieces, with one word. It is literally the most basic plot ever. They easily could rewrite it at any point. Plus my original point was that someone who Twilight trust should go to inform her brother, so she would have free space to search alternative solutions, and plot-hole solved. Using Starlight would be not only obvious, but also explain why she wasn't involved despite being basically Taillight sidekick now. 2) No. Re-watch "The Times They Are A Changeling" for example. We clearly see there that Empire old capital have equally numerous Royal Guards unit as the Canterlot, not to mentioning that Shining Armour by himself could protect the city with his force field at least from second raid. Speaking about that considering that ponies have few huge cities on East coast it is where most of they military is anyway. They maybe wouldn't be capable to arrive at the time, but still not informing military about invasion would be ridiculous. Also Royal Guards aren't useless. They were defeated twice but by Changelings who are dangerous little fallows and Tirek which case I don't need to explain. They by themselves were probably capable to take out Storm King army anyway. Also neither groups you mentioned are pony alias, mobilization them would be possible but complicated. 3) Or the other numerous pointless plot-points where literally nothing happen. Adding few scenes explaining why there is no larger forces in Canterlot at that point, like maybe a threat on different border forced ponies to move Cloudsdale there and Storm King used occasion for his raid (you need literally few words to explain that). Or simply give him more serious forces and not pretend that ponies don't have military? For my they also could totally could fit Midnight Sparkle arc there, but they clearly chicken out. After all some plot-points did lead to that resolution and considering that they make Twilight action more confusing for those who didn't watch the show (and movie was for them) and may not know that main6 originally were oppositions of they elements, and then twist.. nothing happen. "I don't know why Discord wasn't there" Because he is somewhere else. He is a Discord after all. Searching him would be equal gambling as what they did. "Rainbow Dash is a terrible soldier" Because she is not a soldier. She is a weather control team member, and Wounderbolts are showcase unit. A military only by a name.
1.) Maybe, but why go back to change it once it was already far in production? I'm not saying it would've put the movie behind months or anything, but why pay (at least) two more VAs and spend more animating her, Shining, and tons of guards in the movie when - with Hasbro being Hasbro - you could just use an under explained cop out when they realized it was too late? It's not as simple as saying: "let's do this now." While I'm not agreeing with Hasbro and Allspark's final decision, there is production reasoning behind it. ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// 2.) I get a lot of what you're pointing out here, and while most of it is valid, there are still some things that don't add up, dude. (If you're male, of course. If not, I call everyone dude. Not that I talk to a lot of females - but that's besides the point. Lol.) // Yes, the Crystal Empire does have guards, but their abilities are not showcased. The Royal Guard in Equestria has had several opportunities to prove themselves in the modern era, and they've failed every time: - Princess Celestia disappeared in the very first episode of the show and they had no idea where she was. Yes, we know what happened, but there should've been signs of at least a brief fight if they did anything at all. - When all of Ponyville went crazy due to Twilight's spell in Lesson Zero, Celestia was the only one to show up in the end. Surely mass unrest and disorder would catch someone's eye - regardless of who was behind it all. - Changelings aren't as strong as often portrayed to be. Yes - they can shapeshift and use a little bit of magic. Other than that, they just have numbers. But there were - at least - three thousand guards in Canterlot at the time of the wedding. You mean to tell me that they were defeated by several hundred changelings just because? They could have at least bought Twilight and the others time to get the Elements. But nope - they were overwhelmed almost instantly. - There's a lot I'm leaving out because it gets a bit difficult to remember certain instances out of seven seasons worth of content, but the fact remains that six young (albeit powerful, prophesied, and talented) ponies have been sent out numerous times to solve problems either the guards or Celestia herself could've handled. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// - Mate, the Yaks, Changelings, and Dragons are all at least friendly towards Equestria by Season 7. While the Griffons have no government, they still could've done something preemptively to protect their own hides in case the Equestrians failed. They weren't a target, but any foreign party nearby would intervene to protect themselves. If the US was for some reason invaded by China or Russia and they made progress across the country rapidly (which is unlikely), Canada wouldn't hesitate too much to get involved - especially if Alaska was attacked too. They'd be outflanked entirely and would put up a fight. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// 3.) I see a lot of people referencing Midnight Sparkle, but... why? // Again, I get your point about them leaving out important details on the Equestrian forces and the lack of will of the ponies themselves. I'm not denying that they did. But there are still other things that need to be taken into account, mate. - The citizens seeing three out of four rulers turned into stone before their very eyes surely frightened the ponies a bit. And honestly, they were probably more afraid of Tempest than anyone else in the Storm King's "army". - Yes, his forces were laughable as all hell. But undergoing what they went through in such a short time with three rulers captured and one MIA, as well as seeing advanced tech and a foe they've never heard of, they (the Equestrians) didn't have the will to fight and get organized like they normally would. By the time they realized just how stupid his army was it was too late. XD I'd be sitting in my cage brooding my ass off if I had been captured. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// I know, but he (Discord) has popped up randomly when the country wasn't being invaded by a hostile force, so it would lead anyone who's taken note of the show story line to think that the master of chaos should sense when things are out of place. I'm not saying I care about the character being in the movie all that much, but Hasbro ignored their own previously stated logic, and it just didn't make a lot of sense as to why he wasn't there. By name is enough in my eyes damn it. XD // By "terrible soldier" I was making a joke. She gave away their position with a damn Sonic Rainboom. But getting technical, she is a terrible soldier in many ways. She's a cool character, but the point still remains. // Not to mention that they (the Wonderbolts) are run just like a military in certain ways. In comparison to real life and specifically the US military; or even the Blue Angels - hell no. Lol. But they are recognized and respected as a military in Equestria. -Even though they suck as a military unit too.-
@Whiskey-Foxtrot 929 1) From the respect to the fans? Season 6 was aired year ago. From that point it was already clear that Starlight become additional member of the team, and I seriously doubt it wasn't clear even earlier then that. I seriously doubt that they are so incompetent to be in development hell who know how long and again, you play weird form of apologist now. Shitty practices are shitty practices and no excuse change that fact. 2) But again it is clear why they failed. 2.1) Do you seriously think that they are so paranoid to watch her in the toilet, especially when she probably disappear whole time in her weird time lord things? Those evens didn't happen over more then one day. 2.2) There are no Royal Guards is ponyville (or maybe one or two top), and Canterlot isn't that close. 2.3) Yes, they aren't that strong but they are shapesnifters, and it is hard to fight with someone when you don't know is who. That is why they are nasty. "But there were - at least - three thousand guards in Canterlot at the time of the wedding. You mean to tell me that they were defeated by several hundred changelings just because?" Dude, are you insane? From where you get those numbers? There were several times more changelings then guards there, and they are pricks. My troll sense start tingling now 0_0 Also Twilight couldn't use elements on what wasn't corrupted by shadow, and at best only Chrysalis was. 2.4) Yes, you can't find more examples because they are stretched on the first place. And main6 are task commando. They rarely deal with stuff what demand muscle. ?) Are you idiot? You can't just randomly jump in the war, without preparations especially when you don't have alliance treaties and cooperation plans. That is why no one help Poland in World War 2. 3.1) Because Tempest almost break Twilight. But no.. they literally abandon this subplot after she was kidnapped, so why they bring it on the first place. I feel that there were rewrites here because someone demand show to be dumbed down for kids. 3.2) So what is about that? Tempest is a piece of work, and neither something happening to the princess or some random thugs aren't nothing new. Somehow through Celestia time lord powers everything land in places anyway. 3.2) This happen only because Tempest who is badass and no one expect first attack.. second one would not happen if someone would call the military support. And ponies know electronic. Why people think that they live in medieval or something? They have several modern cities on east coast. If Cloudsdale would be were it usually is, then they would annihilate Storm Kind fleet instantly. They basically can what he try obtain, because ponies have superior tech. Even Equestrians airships are way more advanced. 4.1) I agree that lack of Discord was weird. I just point out why searching him was desperate as searching the Hippogryphs. 4.2) Again, I do agree. This Rainboom thing was out of character for her as she is not that stupid (most characters were off anyway). As for Wounderbolts, they are part of military but they aren't straight soldiers. They are more a sportsman/representation unit or eventually a military mail-runners. In real life also only part of soldiers really do fight, when most perform support tasks.
Here's my thoughts about the movie. I did thoroughly enjoy it. I've watched it several times, and have enjoyed it every time, though for the record, I don't really appreciate the ending wherein Tempest doesn't get her horn back. I feel like she was begging to be healed and Twilight was just like "LOL UR OK DUDE." I felt like they should have at least shown the alicorns attempting to fix the horn, failing, and then being like "you can still be okay if you choose to be okay." Or whatever. That aside, I feel like Twilight was acting completely within the realm of reason. She just saw the most powerful beings in her world completely obliterated in seconds. As far as she knows, they're dead. She calls herself "the last princess." She was almost overpowered herself, and only survived due to dumb luck. So that's a major horror that just happened. Imagine seeing your family murdered before your eyes. That's got to have been what it felt like. But she pushes that aside and carries on, because Celestia said the queen could help. She carries on, knowing that she's being followed, knowing that at any moment she could be captured or killed like the other alicorns. The first people they meet betray them, and they're forced to flee again. Then they actually make some friends, only to be discovered due to Rainbow Dash's stupidity and lack of good judgement, and they're forced to flee yet again. For all Twilight knows, the pirates are also killed by Tempest. At the very least, their ship is destroyed, eliminating an avenue of escape. They finally find the hippos, and their request is denied. Twilight has nowhere else to go, no one else to turn to. She's suffered extreme loss and betrayal, and she just can't handle it anymore. She cracks, and she lashes out at Pinkie Pie for calling her out on her hypocrisy. She instantly regrets it, but the damage is done, so she leaves, only to be captured. She had tragedy piled on top of tragedy, and of course she couldn't handle it. She was outside of her element, thought she was the last of her kind, thought no one could help her or save the citizens of Equestria. It was really a very standard break-them-down-and-build-them-back-up-again storyline, and I liked it. Except for the ending. Screw you, Twilight, you should have at least tried to heal Tempest.
On your first part, look who says that Tempest's horn could be healed? Ah yes, the Storm King, the villainous, not-at-all trustworthy main bad guy who ends up betraying her. Yeah, you should totally take his word for it. (Sarcasm)
I see your point but most of the villians only except friendship when their plans blow up in their face. (sunset shimmer) But even though in episode 14 of season 7 they "solved" this problem by saying they weren't perfect but, twilight didn't really elaborate on what her imperfections were. It also might help if they actually kept in mind what they had learned. ( changing personality-wise is hard so i can forgive fluttershy. because standing up for yourself isn't always easy.) But twilight needs some character development and heck, most of them do. ( But mostly twilight because for someone who is supposed to be the leader you keep screwing a lot of things up.)
Okay, that's what you were talking about? Yeah i like 20th century fox, I just had a brain fart for a minute there and my mind was blank. Did you um, agree with my comment or something?
Storm king could've been done better, just sounded like an old guy trying to catch up with the times. Tempest's sidekick was completely unnecessary, everytime he spoke irritated me to no end, and added nothing to the scene.
ooh great so I can well and truly put the pillars on the list of characters that could easily have helped solved the problem without going out to find the hippogriffs. The Dragons The Changelings The Yacks The Pillars Starlight Glimmer Sunset Shimmer Discord Any and all of the Royal Guards and/or the Wonderbolts
Or, main6 if they would not screw around searching ghosts, and simply use elements. Though it was before the Pillars, and Sunset is Inaccessible. Also speaking about missing military there are also Cristal Guards and probably other city armies.
What I wish would have happened is that Tempest orchestrated a coup against the Storm King. Tempest clearly has the admiration and respect of the army. She could have overthrown the Storm King like how popular Roman generals overthrew their emperors.
Tempest not getting her horn back can actually be an advantage! Sure, she may not be able to conduct the typical magic, but in a pinch you must remember her broken horn made it wild and unstable! It made her pack a more serious wallop!
Totally agree! The movie was something that took me a while to see, but I was a little disappointed. The villains did seem quickly thought out. The storm king looks like a bad copy of Tirek. Tempest was awesome, my only problem is that it’s like, “Oh my friends abondend me after I lost half my horn. Okay time to join forces and destroy the world.” It’s glorifiying a mass shooter. But yeah still a decent movie, another one of my problems was Twilight. She’s so weird in it, when her friends make bad decisions, she barley does anything about it. Also I don’t think she would ever tell her friends she was better off without them. Great video ❤️
Harley Quinn Sorry I just wanted to say it made Tempest a more relatable character, although I agree with the filly thing......sorry for any inconvenience......
No shit. Storm King said that he have such power and help her in exchange of the staff. Because Tempest know that only idiot would try trick her knowing that she kill him in such case (what she totally did) then she presumed that Storm King really did have such power, and focus on proving on own point of bargain by showing own cruelty. The issue was that Storm King in fact was a idiot who presumed that she is naive because she is a pony, when ignoring someone who he just betrayed is way more naive then calculated deal.
Here's my MLP idea episodes They should make another background ponies episode like In slice of life, but this time it takes place at Canterlot, like moon dancer and her friends try to get tickets for a concert, but every pony in Canterlot are on the rush to get to the concert, upper crust, jet set, Fancypants and Fleur dis Lee in this episode as well I wish they make an episode where Ember and her dragons and Thorax and his Reformed Changlings are invited to a Galloping Gala at Canterlot, but the ponies of Canterlot starting to be prejudice towards the dragons and changlings, Princess Twilight and her friends try to convince the Canterlot ponies that their not evil they're friendly, would that be a good idea for an episode? they should make an episode where Trixe, Starlight, ember, thorax, spike and the mane 6 perform a magic show in Canterlot, or Las Pegasus, but Trixe is having a hard time to be ready for the big night of her show, so starlight, ember, thorax, spike and the mane 6 tries to help her, would that be a great idea for an episode They should make an episode where Trxie's family come to ponyville to see her best friend Starlight and the mane 6, would that be a good episode? I wish they make an Fleur Dis Lee episode They should make a episode where spike and mane 7 go to Fillydelphia and visit Fillydelphia's Dragon Town, like Manehattan, Fillydelphia is a mostly modernized citu with cement roads and skyscrapers. It has an all-unicorn police force, and it is also home to a thriving population of dragons who live in a separate part of the city called Dragon Town, and the mane 7 and spike are send to Fillydelphia to solve a friendship problem from a pony or dragon, would that be a good idea for a episode They should make an episode of Diamond Tiara throwing a big birthday party, but she ask the help of the CMC to make this the best party in ponyville They should make a princess episode where Princess Twilight Sparkle, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Princess Cadance, Princess Ember and Princess Skystar get together in Twilight's castle or maybe in Celestia's castle
They definitely need make episode where Starlight, Trixie and Sunburst are suck in time hole and then Celestia, Luna and Starswirl reveal they true names. Obviously that would be definite finale of the series.
TheRezro do you think they should make an episode where Ember and her dragons enter the Equestria games and make an episode of Fleur Dis Lee needing the mane 6 or rarity for a friendship problem?
I'm not sure that repeating Equestria games arc would make much sense, but I definitely would want see episode related to Fleur Dis Lee, especially if learn why she has name like pre-Equestrian nobility. I originally have theory regard that though as we learn recently that Unicornia was in fact country of Kirins, it doesn't make much sense anymore. Though to be honest according to Wikipedia Blueblood real name is Vladímir, so quite probably she is simply part of old royal family.
Problems I had with the movie. 1) It's as if nothing beyond the end of season 3 matters. Yes, we see some characters from the show all the way up till that current season, but they have zero roll in the entire film and very clearly could have been of much help if they did. 2) The writer's wanting us to believe the Storm King is a big bad guy who's name is feared and known all over the land and air and has been so for seemingly months to a few years with all these goons, ships, and property under his control and only know we're hearing of him. Even though that's unbelievable if they just left it at that and not included the thirst for "Alicorn magic" it would have been a little better. 3) The lack of any powerful or versatile magic. No teleportation, shields, energy blast, phasing objects or characters through solid matter, freezing character's or objects with magic, Alicorn Amulet, or most shockingly no attempt to travel back in time for a do over. 4) I know many like to defend Twilight's actions in stealing the pearl some how justified even though there was absolute zero attempt to do anything at all before hand. That's completely fine, but for me its completely out of character at least for what were shown leading up to that moment. There was no attempt to use any powerful magic that very well could have played a vital role in the siege battle. It's not like they exhausted all of other possibilities leaving her no other option, but to still the pearl. She went from A to Z with no thought. Even if I ignore that and just go with her thieving idea the writers could have at least made it strategic and interesting not just her litterly trying to take it without any use magic. Aside from those point's the music, animation, art style, new locations, were character's are great.
I did not like the animation what so ever, and the story was to cliché, and me and my little sisters are there demographic, and non of us didn’t like it
let s be all honest......this movie isn t as good as we spected....the show is better....it is just average.....at best...and lazy at worst....but still i would watch it again...
I mean the songs were good, I've been listening to them nonstop since I watched the leaked version and while I am waiting for dvd (I'd go to the cinema but they dubbed it and the dub is horrid :/), I liked some new characters but the one thing that bothered me the most was that they had so many new characters they didn't bother developing any of them but Tempest, heck even the "all mighty amazing strong true villain" Storm king was just there as comedic relief most of the time, I just wish that they introduced Grubber, Tempest and Storm king only because the other new characters were just there most of the movie aside from their song and a few minutes around said songs.
@Ao Tora Yeh, it could be good as the show, but in end it was average. Still it could be worst. CGI is decent, songs are great, but story is mediocre and they miss opportunity for the twist (seriously.. if they would fight with Midnight Sparkle on the end because Tempest break her and then learn what real fear is, then it would be far greater lesson then no lesson.. as it is now it is just ok). Generally what bother my most are the plot holes.. seriously where were the Royal Guard's and Cloudsdale? Why Twilight didn't go to Cristal Empire? Those issues can be solved with mental gymnastic but we shouldn't need to. Seriously, if they would make joke about Celestia sending her guards on training to Yakistan in worst possible time and for example Starlight being with them after escape and then Twilight deciding to send her for her brother when she and rest would search Hippogriffs and him arriving simply too late with whole military, then everything be ok. But as it is now.. seriously. I love show because I don't need ask such questions and if there are issue there is a witty theory behind it. Still I did expect what I get, I just hoped for more.
3 main problems with the movie: 1-How twilight was portrayed (I thought they butchered her) 2-Storm King (Would've preferred if Tempest was main villain - his character wasn't done very well) 3-Capper (I really didn't like Capper)
Well, I read a bit of the book 'Tempest's Story', and she didn't just turn evil because her friends wouldn't play with her. Her friends were Spring Rain and Glitter Drops. She sent her to the cave to retrieve the ball because despite being youngest, Tempest was bravest. She lost her horn, but her friends still tried to cheer her up. They did the exam for Celestia's School For Gifted Unicorns, and got in. Tempest soon left her town, thinking Spring Rain and Glitter Drops left her after all she had done for them. She didn't turn evil, she was just on her own. Haven't read the full thing, though, and I think that she was blinded by the thought of getting her horn back from the Storm King, she didn't know what she was doing was wrong.
Similarly, depictions on commercials, toys, merchandise, billboards, and other Hasbro-sanctioned material is neither "canon" nor "not canon", it's simply official material.
No, it is non canon because that is a digital state (at worst it could be partially canon but still elements themselves either are or aren't canon). And being official mean only that it was made by publisher, not that it is a part of universe.
I was really hyped for this movie to come out and I spent a crap tonne of money at the cinema to see it. I saw that it had seriously low reviews on IMDB and I was really scared I'd be disappointed. I kinda shrugged it off because I thought that perhaps the critics were being harsh because they didn't understand the whole MLP storyline or something. Idk lmao I just kept giving them the benefit of the doubt. I was... really underwhelmed. Don't get me wrong, the animation, the soundtrack, and the guest characters were all brilliant, and the voice acting was incredible at times. But as you said, the story felt a little weak, and I feel like Twilight was really OOC throughout the film. I can understand she was stressed and everything, but the Mane 6 have dealt with stuff like this before. They know what to do in situations like these and I feel like the pony who should know this by now is Twilight herself. I mean she's the goddamn Princess of Friendship! And I know she isn't perfect but I think it's pretty lame that the writers keep having her learn this lesson over and over again. It's just getting old by now and I'd honestly love it if they made another movie and Twilight was faced with some REAL conflict and the Mane 6's friendship was REALLY put to the test. It feels like all of these stunning visuals and songs were put to waste due to Hasbro's lazy writing. I'd love to see them have another go at it. I feel like if they really tried hard enough they could create something just as good, if not better, as Equestria Girls or Rainbow Rocks. Those were two movies where Hasbro really impressed me.
It got 0% on rotten tomatoes what happen from what I heard the writing would make George Lucas proud and the phrase friendship will overcome anything becomes over used in almost every song but it looks nice full of eye candy
Same, but to be honest I have some doubts after movie and season 7 finale. It obviously could be just paranoia but I have weird feeling that they fire script supervision. I hope not, but even as for now I was capable to go around the plot contrivances I'm not sure I what will be if this tendency continue.
I did enjoy the film, but i will say it did have its negative points. For me the main negative point was the lack of character development, for example i was really hoping Spike would play a bigger part in the film and we would get to see his character fleshed out more, the truth is you can remove Spike from the film and it would have almost no impact on the film. My other negative niggle is the storm King, he is the main villain, the big bad of the film but he is only in the film for 20 minutes and when you take in to account the film is roughly 2 hours long it leaves his character feeling pointless. Tempest Shadow was effectively the main villain of the film, the storm king did not really come off as a villain at all, he is more like a big joke, just the comedy relief for the film.
Generally that is the point of Storm King. Personally I though that big bad boss would be a Midnight Sparkle because everything suggested that.. but nop!
I hate it. In my opinion, 20th Century Fox should had made it better. I'm giving this movie a 0/10 because of a few reasons I don't want to talk about. The end of the movie got me TRIGGERED big time. Queen Novo, HOW DARE YOU SAY A WORD THAT'S FORBIDDEN FROM BENTON FILM UNLIMITED!!!
Hey Moliminous, I loved this video -especially since I could relate to much of it- and I was wondering if you could try watching the miraculous Ladybug series? I remember you talked about it in one of your videos and said you didn't understand why it was popular, but I REALLY think that if you give it a try you'll love it. Yes, season 1 episodes are repetitive but season 2 has none of That, and gets AMAZING. I was also recommending this to you because it feels like you are kinda in the place I was when I left the mlp hype train after watching the movie, and now want to get into another really good addicting and self-improving show.
For me, 8,75/10. It was a bit too short, new characters hadn't enough screen time (except Tempest, she was almost perfect). But still it was one of best animated movies since a long, long time. For me, that movie must have sequel :D
SithEmperetor What are your ideas for a sequel? I think that since the pillars, the past, and the pony of shadows aren't really explained too much, a movie might fit that role. There could be more mature things(as far as PG goes)which could benefit well, especially since the past of Equestria seems dark. It could start off with the pony of shadows' victim(forgot and don't know how to spell their name)point of view and after a while, the story starts to shift to Starswirl's point of view(around the time when the victim tries to clone the items from the pillars). Seriously, a good explanation on the past of Equestria would really be nice, especially since most of the past has to be made from headcanons.
My idea? There are still three things in MLP that needs to be explain: -Scootaloo unable to fly (not good material for movie) -Identity Scootaloo's parents (like previous) -Mystery of the third royal sister (prefect material) As we all know, Luna and Celestia are two of the most powerful characters in whole uniwerse. But they aren't the only from their family. There is still Prince Blueblood. Nephew of Celestia and Luna. So... if he isn't son of Celestia or Luna, there should be still one powerful alicorn. If ponies in the first episode were surprized that Celestia has a sister (Luna), third sister must be one of greatest mysteries of whole Equestria. What if she was so evil that Celestia erased her from history cards? It can explain why Blueblood is so... strange. He lost his mother someway. And because he looks so young, he must be born in his mother prison. maybe he'll try to free her? And this villain will be something more powerful than even Tirek. Then even Discord could help mane six in mission of stopping third sister's plan of taking revenge on Celestia. It would be awesome if she'll kidnap Luna and try to get her help. It would be awesome to see Luna getting bigger role (let's say, she'll try to trick third sister by pretending her ally). What do you think? :)
SithEmperetor It sounds like an interesting topic to explore. To be honest, I would just like to see some exploration to the past of Equestria and this somewhat does it, so it's fine by me.
It was indeed pretty damn dank. Lol. I'd give it a 9/10. I didn't know what to expect given the little news I allowed myself to be exposed to prior to release, and the movie exceeded my expectations. Not a lot of things are capable of doing that.
I disagree with your criticism with Twilight. She never was in a situation like this. Her mentors usually disappeared without a trace and she never got to see something traumatic as seeing her mentors being turned to fucking stone infront of her without knowing if they could ever be turned back. She had the weight of Equestria once again smacked on her shoulders. And let us be honest, throughout the movie her friends seemed to just be goofing off, not really helping. or at least, it appeared that way. Whenever one of her friends went against her advice it usually caused trouble (Capper nearly selling them, Tempest noticing the Sonic Rainboom.) so she started to become jaded and believed she was the only one capable of doing this, since the Queen didn't wanna help save Equestria, she went and tried to take matters into her own hands. I ain't saying it was right, but you can understand her motivation. And that is what is important.
Faith, you make a lot of good points in the video. You took the roght apprpch, look at it from an outside view not a fan view. Honestly shows today only show tge happy go lucky and not the Consequences of one's actions. That is what shows should start doing, teach kids that actikns have consequences and sometimes you can recover but sometimes you can't. The movie should get a 4/5 out of 10 do to mult reasons, some if which you meantioned. I wish Hassro would evolve the show more and stop doing the same thing over and over.
By the time you do, Tempest might have her horn Back, plus, she may even look like the characters in the Show, or are they continuing with the movie version, I don't know?
You know, after the Storm King's death, I'll bet the stoned body parts will still be there, because well, you know, He'll never recover. It's great that he turned to stone fell off the balcony & shattered to pieces. That's way more pieces than Titanic, plus 5.
I was bothered by it at the beginning but by the end the only thing that kinda annoyed me was that if the ponies were standing sideways their muzzles were a tad bit long and that really bothered me for some reason, but it's different but I kinda like it and I wouldn't mind it if next gen was looking like this.
The story was by no means bad it was just predictable. It was over all exhilarating and captivating. Aside from Twilight Temptest Shadow was my new favorite character she was sympathetic and had an actual motivation. The animation style grew on me and I'm in love with Sia's Rainbow. It gets an 8/10 for me.
Yeh, outside fact that the twist was a red herring, and they chose most cliche plot ever. Seriously.. I have feeling that someone cut Midnight Sparkle form the script. Everything lead to that, seriously! WTF?
Want to know what I think? Ok. It's a 8/10 movie and here’s why: SO, we initially get greeted by a bunch of flying horses and a pony parody song of "We Got the Beat". Now for any serious movie viewer you'd probably be thinking "oh shit it's going to be one of these movies isn’t it?" but it actually has a lot more to offer; one of those things is amazing camera work that most would have missed at the beginning of the movie because your thinking about whether to leave the theater or not; then realized you stupidly payed 12 buck to watch a 104 minute toy commercial so you can’t leave and you wish you could buy some hard liquor at the snack bar, but ill get back to camera work later. So were greeted to the magical kingdom of horses and they live in peace and happiness, were introduced to our main character Twilight and how she is struggling to put together a friendship festival and gets help from her dear friends; and here’s were we run into the first flaw of the movie. The movie failed to establish it's mane group of characters, all we know is that they are friends with the princess, thats it. The movie then trys to gives us a maybe 3 minute crash course of the personalities of these friends so we can understand them better; it you were not paying full attention and processing every single word they were saying for those three minutes then you probably don't know how the fuck these pony’s operate. But then they sing a song and here is when we realized something great about the movie; animation. So if you watch animated films most look the same as the other with little difference, this animation stands out for being different but if you were like me you were not immediately impressed; I was wondering why they would do something so dramatically different that has worked perfectly for many other animated films in the past, and here we realize why. The dark-looking animated style brings out the vibrant colors the characters and environments use constantly through the movie, it gives it a really big cinematic feel making the animation both beautiful and fun to watch; I was impressed by the idea and I would like to see it used more often in animated films. I don't think they could have used a better animation style to really express the films magic. After they sing their gay little song were are introdused to our antagonist Storm King and Tempest Shadow and our conflict of the moive, that being the kingdom is in trouble and it's up to Twilight and her friends to save the day, a very generic plot used countless times in film but this one was executed elegantly. Now im going to talk about key things that happened in the movies from beginning to end that made it better or worse. At this point of the movie we are introduced to a decent about of characters and the thing I notice first is the voice acting is very well done for all, yes all the characters. Usually in any film by the first 30 minutes you find one or two characters; side or main, to be a below average actor or voice actor. We don’t get any of that in this film everyone did a job well done voicing their characters well fit for a movie (I wish their actual character backgrounds were just as good). The next part of the movie is singing songs and making friends with a cat-person-thing named Caper; who is very obviously villain. Through the movie we get this several times with our hero’s trying to make friends with bad guys and sing songs with them, this is where you start to think that the movie is bringing its self down on purpose; why are our heros doing something so dumb with these baddies? Why do these scenes of songs and celebration of literally nothing relevant to the movie’s plot? At first glance it pretty darn pointless to put in a movie and it is, it sucks and has no place, but ill get back to that latter. Remember how I said I wanted to talk about the camera work aka cinematography? Here what I have to say about it; it’s fucking phenomenal, amazing, breathtaking, if the cinematography of this movie was a guy I would turn gay and suck the dick of that guy; it’s that fucking good and arguably the best part of the movie. One of the scenes that displays this is when our hero’s are running away from Temptest onto a pirate ship, one of Twilights friends; pink horse, has a fucking spasm attack trying to get to the pirate ship and falls off a cliff. The camera then begins to follow Twilight who is fying downward to save pink horse and capters her, the camera stares at he bottom of the cliff showing what pink horses impending doom could have been, camera pans out, and sits on a picture of the pirate ship leaving the dock and twilight flying onto it carrying pink horse to the ship and the girls are onto their next journey. This was absolutely well done carrying the movies story from one part to the next establishing that the characters are on their next step of their mission and removing the audience from the last one. Seriously Hollywood take notes this is how its done. The best part is that it’s not just this scene but consistent throughout the whole movie to the end, the director of cinematography out did him/or herself and deserves a raise. Later our hero’s find some seahorses who they ask for their magical aid so Twilight can take back the kingdom from Storm King. Seahorses refuse, so Twilight trys to rob them. This is the point of the movie our hero’s are now facing a fallout and im so glad they did this. Every proper movie has conflicts within their hero’s making them vulnerable to evil they must learn to overcome. At this point I realized the movie is doing a good job of actually being a movie, I was pleasantly surprised and it gets better in the next part. So Twilight gets kidnaped and the gang decides to march on down and take on the Storm Kings army’s with no hope of winning and they are well aware of their inability to fight, then all the characters they sang songs with and helped along the way come to join them, well aware that they might also loose to the army but are willing to take the risk for these horses. This part right here blew me away, the scene does two things; establishes that all those previous song and dances were actually NOT pointless to the movie and the message of friendship which is what the movie is all about. I thought the whole time how ridiculous songs were in this movie and basically all movies because it does nothing to drive the plot at all; but in this one the director used them to help the ponys find friends to help with their cause; meaning that making friends and silly song was literally all they needed to do in the first place to take back their kingdom, and that fits well to the message of “friendship” in this movie. I was so mislead that these were pointless scenes, and made surprised that it was the resolution to the conflict all along. There are almost no animated films where their silly songs had any impact on the story but this movie right here found a way to pull it off! Next is the villain, with every good movie there is a good villain. Tempest Shadow is a fantastic villan, props to her voice actor who made her so intimidating. Tempest was portrayed as a fearless, feared, strategic leader. She opposed the gang more than once, challenging their strengths all the way making every conflict enjoyable to watch. Once again Hollywood take notes, this is how you make a villain. At the end our villain has joined forces with Twilight to take down Storm King and they kill him, finding common enemy’s creates friends and that’s the most believable moral in the movie! It ends with a very well placed song and we see how friendship can expand worlds. The End! Oh wait I forgot about orange horse but I can’t say I don’t blame myself. Orange horse or “Applejack” is the most useless fucking character in the entire movie. If theres anything I hate in a movie it’s a character that the movies states is a main character, and doesn’t do a single fucking thing the entire movie! You could have removed Applefuck out of the movie entirely and it would not have made a single difference to the story! But yeah this is an enjoyable movie that anyone will like a bit if they try to watch it like a real movie should. Some people like Moliminous say that the movies is cannon to the cartoon show and I couldn’t disagree more. The common audience does not go in and research where the movie takes place in the TV shows time lines, they don’t read the novles based on the movie, they don’t read the comic books based on the movie, they don’t watch the previous movie made 40 years ago based on the movie. If it didn’t happen in the movie itself then it might as well have not happened at all. People who base their opinions on movies that are also base on the show need to fuck off, let the movie be a god damn movie! No movie is safe to criticism, child movie or not and this is certainly no exception. But it was well made and im glad I saw it so there, im done.
They should fire Tara Strong. She demands more money than any other voice actor on the show, she doesn't even do her own singing lines (it's always someone else who sounds like Twilight), and there are tons of sound-alike VAs who can nail the Twilight voice perfectly. From the brony fandom and the professional world. I know I probably just triggered a bunch of Tara Fanatics, but face the facts! It would be cheaper to hire someone else. Plush she's a raging feminazi SJW on Twitter anyway...
Scarlet Moon true, she probably gets billions each day, so she shouldn't have a problem if she quits many many many voices, I mean she's the most famous female voice actress in the world.
I've been a Brony since season 1. I was so excited when I found about this movie. I've wanted a My Little Pony movie since the beginning. They gave us Equestria Girls and while in my opinion it wasn't bad it was definitely not what I was thinking when I said I wanted a My Little Pony movie. So when the trailer launched I was so hyped. I was like "Now this is what I wanted". I was able to see an advanced screening of the movie a day before it actually premiered, and it was amazing. There was only two other families besides myself so I was really able to enjoy the movie. Now this movie absolutely blew me away. I loved the art and animation it just looked absolutely stunning. It felt very much like the show and didn't really drift away from that so I felt very at home. All the new characters were so interesting and so much fun. The new songs were absolutely fantastic, they all are so catchy. People are calling the story kinda rushed and predictable, and I can kinda see what they mean but even so it was such a fun story and I loved every minute of it. This movie gets a 20/10 in my book. It was by far my favorite movie of 2017, and now my favorite movie of all time!
I dont know why but your reviews and "every think wrong with " dont annoy me like any a Other and i enjoy it some time because i know you want to improve it , you care (+,-). Not like other haters who say just "bla bla bla this show for kids" or "bla bla bla it was hyped couple years beck now its over bla bla they just suck from it money ..."
Found out it was leaked online & so were the episodes by watching this channel I still waited till they were supposed to come out thanks to MoliminousTheater2 and here watched them when i was supposed to I rate MLP movie 9/10 at least im getting it on BluRay like i did Deadpool
I don't really have an eye for all the technical stuff, but I loved this movie. I loved most of the songs, I loved the new characters, I loved Tempest Shadow. I understand why Tempest Shadow would want her horn back: Magic is OP. If you have this OP superpower, and you're used to it, and you have no hands, so that's the main way you operate things or pick things up, and then you lose it cause you were a stupid little kid, yeah, that'd be pretty tough. I'd probably jump at any opportunity to get that back.
I know the story is and but I don't care, it was fun, songs were catchy, new characters I'll never see in the show X3 and it was worth the money to go see and watch, besides it's a kids movie the plot isn't suppose to be overly complicated or anything, the movies fine watch it with your kids
It was just a joke of Croce the movie could have been better but i still think we as people nit pick to much and should just sit back and enjoy the little things even if they have some errors
Fractured Hearts, I agree. I wish there would have been a competition from the fans for best screenplay. They could have spent the saved million on better advertising. The stupid emoji movie made about four times as much.
ENJOY AND BE SURE TO LIKE AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!
it could have been great right?.....(sight)....
Didn't the comics that came out before the movie say what happened how some of this stuff started hopefully
also moliminous is great to have you back.....i like when you are an easygoing-kinda-jerk. We dont like when you go berserk on a season finale(even if it deserves it, you are not mr enter dude)....please don t change.....and good video.....

Tempest not getting her horn is a interesting concept when you think about it
im not gonna lie, i loved this movie, could have been better but could have been a hell of a lot worse, so fuck it, cant wait to get it on dvd
I'm looking forward to it too :)
Nice maximal logo; it would've been cool if someone had vandalized the Storm King's logo to look like a maximal logo!
heck yeah , and Thank you!
ZEADPOOL1991 I'm getting it on bluray.
ZEADPOOL1991 FACTS I WANT IT FOR DVD!!!
I'll give this movie 3/10. 1 point for the art and animation, 1 point for new characters and voice acting, 1 point for Daniel Ingram and 0 points for the unoriginal story.
How fast until this gets taken down by hasbro?
Vsauce Puppet lol
Vsauce Puppet like 3 hours
tonight?
1-3 weeks
I hope Ember, Gabby, Coco Pommel,Derpy, Babs Seed, Iron Will, Daring Do, Diamond Tiara,Silver Spoon, The Diamond Rogs,Amethyst Star, Fleur Dis Lee, Fancypants, Suri Polomare, Lighting dust, Wind rider, Sassy Saddles, Maredowell,Upper Crust,Jet Set, Tempest Shadow, Capper, Captain Celaeno, Princess Skystar, Queen Novo, Songbird Serenade, and Grubber return in season 8 or 9 of MLP in the future
Songbird no (at best as camo), all others probably yes.
I want most of them - with the exceptions of Grubber and Capper - to come back into the show. Grubber is an annoying prick of a little dude, and Capper is... I don't know. He's eh. Maybe a few minutes of screen time but nothing major at all.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////
Regardless, money is the real decision maker here.
I see Twi's actions as justifiable
That would
Not really.. she has only marginal knowledge about Hippogryphs, she didn't really know what was reason for Celestia sending Luna there.
+TheRezro:
Oi, not to ignite conflict, because that's not what I want to do with this reply. I just want to point out a few things.
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
1.) Allspark - and the original writer - didn't even know Starlight was going to play a role in the show at all anymore - hence the reason she had no dialogue whatsoever and only like... five seconds of screen time with Trixie.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Bonus: I don't know why Discord wasn't there.
Fun Fact: Rainbow Dash is a terrible soldier.
@Whiskey-Foxtrot 929
1) So how that is a excuse?
"I don't know why Discord wasn't there"
Because he is somewhere else. He is a Discord after all. Searching him would be equal gambling as what they did.
"Rainbow Dash is a terrible soldier"
Because she is not a soldier.
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
2.) I get a lot of what you're pointing out here, and while most of it is valid, there are still some things that don't add up, dude. (If you're male, of course. If not, I call everyone dude. Not that I talk to a lot of females - but that's besides the point. Lol.) // Yes, the Crystal Empire does have guards, but their abilities are not showcased. The Royal Guard in Equestria has had several opportunities to prove themselves in the modern era, and they've failed every time:
- Princess Celestia disappeared in the very first episode of the show and they had no idea where she was.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
- Mate, the Yaks, Changelings, and Dragons are all at least friendly towards Equestria by Season 7.
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
3.) I see a lot of people referencing Midnight Sparkle, but...
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
I know, but he (Discord) has popped up randomly when the country wasn't being invaded by a hostile force, so it would lead anyone who's taken note of the show story line to think that the master of chaos should sense when things are out of place.
-Even though they suck as a military unit too.-
@Whiskey-Foxtrot 929
1) From the respect to the fans?
You mean to tell me that they were defeated by several hundred changelings just because?"
Dude, are you insane? From where you get those numbers? There were several times more changelings then guards there, and they are pricks. My troll sense start tingling now 0_0
Also Twilight couldn't use elements on what wasn't corrupted by shadow, and at best only Chrysalis was.
And i love twilight but she could be better which is why she is now my second favorite character. first= pinkie pie
Do you like 20th Century Fox?
Um no? Why??
You should love it then. Because 20th Century Fox should had made the movie.
The Dragons
The Changelings
The Yacks
The Pillars
Starlight Glimmer
Sunset Shimmer
Discord
Any and all of the Royal Guards and/or the Wonderbolts
I actually was glad Tempest didn't get her horn back because it shows that you don't have to be perfect or whole to change something in the world
Just an Otaku Girl ummmm i think she would be to sad she would be sad cause those damn child ruined her horn
Harley Quinn
Sorry I just wanted to say it made Tempest a more relatable character, although I agree with the filly thing......sorry for any inconvenience......
maybe the staff never really had the power to give tempests horn back?
Here's my MLP idea episodes
They should make another background ponies episode like In slice of life, but this time it takes place at Canterlot, like moon dancer and her friends try to get tickets for a concert, but every pony in Canterlot are on the rush to get to the concert, upper crust, jet set, Fancypants and Fleur dis Lee in this episode as well
I wish they make an episode where Ember and her dragons and Thorax and his Reformed Changlings are invited to a Galloping Gala at Canterlot, but the ponies of Canterlot starting to be prejudice towards the dragons and changlings, Princess Twilight and her friends try to convince the Canterlot ponies that their not evil they're friendly, would that be a good idea for an episode?
they should make an episode where Trixe, Starlight, ember, thorax, spike and the mane 6 perform a magic show in Canterlot, or Las Pegasus, but Trixe is having a hard time to be ready for the big night of her show, so starlight, ember, thorax, spike and the mane 6 tries to help her, would that be a great idea for an episode
They should make an episode where Trxie's family come to ponyville to see her best friend Starlight and the mane 6, would that be a good episode?
I wish they make an Fleur Dis Lee episode
They should make a episode where spike and mane 7 go to Fillydelphia and visit Fillydelphia's Dragon Town, like Manehattan, Fillydelphia is a mostly modernized citu with cement roads and skyscrapers. It has an all-unicorn police force, and it is also home to a thriving population of dragons who live in a separate part of the city called Dragon Town, and the mane 7 and spike are send to Fillydelphia to solve a friendship problem from a pony or dragon, would that be a good idea for a episode
They should make an episode of Diamond Tiara throwing a big birthday party, but she ask the help of the CMC to make this the best party in ponyville
They should make a princess episode where Princess Twilight Sparkle, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Princess Cadance, Princess Ember and Princess Skystar get together in Twilight's castle or maybe in Celestia's castle
They definitely need make episode where Starlight, Trixie and Sunburst are suck in time hole and then Celestia, Luna and Starswirl reveal they true names. Obviously that would be definite finale of the series.
TheRezro no I don't want this show to be over yet, it should be ongoing, it's the best show today, I hope they make more seasons
Agree, but if they finish it it would be cool if they would confirm that theory.
I’m 14 and watched this movie 5 times
Is something wrong with me?
YoItz NatBat There's a grown man who has seen Zootopia over 20 times, so nothing is wrong with you.
Do you know what channel you're watching..?
Not at all.........
YoItz NatBat Same with me
That's because Zootopia isn't terrible.
Diego Kaqui preach m8
Patrick Mendoza speak crearly please i don t even know what lmao is.....im.not joking....please repeat....
yeah... It felt like a season finale with celebrities.
@Ao Tora
Yeh, it could be good as the show, but in end it was average.
3 main problems with the movie:
1-How twilight was portrayed (I thought they butchered her)
2-Storm King (Would've preferred if Tempest was main villain - his character wasn't done very well)
3-Capper (I really didn't like Capper)
Nightfall Thunder HOW DID YOU NOT LIKE CAPPER?! HE WAS THE BEST IN HE ENTIRE THING!!
Book is not canon. Also Tempest is survivalist. She did know what she doing, she simply did what she though she need to do at that point.
Tempest turned good after being betrayed by the Storm King & saved by Twilight.
How many Million? The Secret of NIMH was done for one. (Yes, I'm that old)
They made the easy 3d models look bad, and the complex one very good
This fan base is almost as bad as gamers for never being satisfied. *sigh*
So is this franchise is bad for having potential?
It got 0% on rotten tomatoes what happen from what I heard the writing would make George Lucas proud and the phrase friendship will overcome anything becomes over used in almost every song but it looks nice full of eye candy
Legion that’s not true look again
(Gets popcorn and sits down) Let's have fun.
i am looking forward to watch this on TV ( Movie ) and Season 8.
Same, but to be honest I have some doubts after movie and season 7 finale. It obviously could be just paranoia but I have weird feeling that they fire script supervision. I hope not, but even as for now I was capable to go around the plot contrivances I'm not sure I what will be if this tendency continue.
Not to sound disrespectful, but why have Sunset Shimmer in the thumbnail if she's not in the video?
The magic of friendship has been ruined and hasbro did it by themselfs
People said this same after Twilight become a princes.. and I don't care about whiners. I have doubts but there is too early for real complains.
What's the song that playing though the videos
There's a book on how she met the storm king
I wasn't expecting the movie to get bad reviews.
gameloft and the prequel do a good job of explianing tempest
prime ranger That's my problem with the movie. Why didn't they spent more time Tempest 's motivations in the movie instead of other media outlets?
Because she doesn't really have more depth then that.. they show all what they got.
Even though i love the movie there is something missing and don't know what but i still think it's not there
I loved this movie but Twilight was a total jerk.
I really liked this movie, but it’s far from perfect. The main thing I liked is the music.
7:29 Just, just what the fuck.
My idea? There are still three things in MLP that needs to be explain:
-Scootaloo unable to fly (not good material for movie)
-Identity Scootaloo's parents (like previous)
-Mystery of the third royal sister (prefect material)
As we all know, Luna and Celestia are two of the most powerful characters in whole uniwerse.
Saw this movie, loved it. 10/10
It was indeed pretty damn dank. Lol.
I'd give it a 9/10. I didn't know what to expect given the little news I allowed myself to be exposed to prior to release, and the movie exceeded my expectations. Not a lot of things are capable of doing that.
congrats on 200k~
Read the pre-movie comics. They explain the back stories.
I was also disappointed I wish the movie was better as well but I had fun.
the movie ticks me off the story was rushed and it sucked. who are the writers idk Meghan McCarthy is a head leader were doomed.
6:47
Holy shit thats creepy
Anyone noticed that twilight sparkle has bigger wings
Yes, she always did.
Rainbow Dash's wings are better done in the movie. Plus, she looks better. As for the Mane 6.
Moliminous sandwiched in between their 2 Waifus
Innuendo?
Don’t forget to check the Description guys!
Of what your saying is right about season 7 then movie then season 8 then I better see tempest in season 8
By the time you do, Tempest might have her horn Back, plus, she may even look like the characters in the Show, or are they continuing with the movie version, I don't know?
833time I'm pretty sure it will be the show version but I don't care I just want to see tempest
Her real name is
Fizzlepop Berrytwist.
833time I know but i like tempest better
You know, after the Storm King's death, I'll bet the stoned body parts will still be there, because well, you know, He'll never recover. It's great that he turned to stone fell off the balcony & shattered to pieces. That's way more pieces than Titanic, plus 5.
They did allot of head tilting to be more expressive
That feeling when you have to look at outside sources just to fill in plotholes in your multi million dollar movie. *coughcough* Books!
Well, now that the movie failed, it's my turn to show what a REAL mlp movie looks like without advertising and lazy writing.
I was waiting for this
Thanks for your insight on the new MLP movie.
Did I miss something? It was more whining then insight.
Supportive supporting characters, at least that counts.
Was anyone else so mad about the change in design
Latte Swirl I was sorta bothered by it.
WTF?
But she's a villain. Basically because she lost her horn.
The movie was meh, 6/10.
Hi
Open up your eyes dude. Pun intended.
Once I watched that movie
I was the only one there
i have not seen the movie
Then correct that mistake, just not expect much.
love the movie's songs
Soundwave: show superior
Movie inferios
Want to know what I think? Ok. It's a 8/10 movie and here’s why:
SO, we initially get greeted by a bunch of flying horses and a pony parody song of "We Got the Beat".
Did you delete your own reply and it was Just a joke everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I actually enjoy your videos
Cool video I love it
Ugh really our movie😒
Moliminus! SVTFOE getting leaks!!!
I mean inferior
Scarlet Moon Wtf does her talent have to do with her talent you fucking idiot
I like the movie
It sucks. I didn't see it & it's a good thing.

Other and i enjoy it some time because i know you want to improve it , you care (+,-).
Not like other haters who say just "bla bla bla this show for kids" or "bla bla bla it was hyped couple years beck now its over bla bla they just suck from it money ..."
Found out it was leaked online & so were the episodes by watching this channel
I still waited till they were supposed to come out thanks to MoliminousTheater2 and here watched them when i was supposed to
I rate MLP movie 9/10 at least im getting it on BluRay like i did Deadpool
I don't really have an eye for all the technical stuff, but I loved this movie. I loved most of the songs, I loved the new characters, I loved Tempest Shadow. I understand why Tempest Shadow would want her horn back: Magic is OP. If you have this OP superpower, and you're used to it, and you have no hands, so that's the main way you operate things or pick things up, and then you lose it cause you were a stupid little kid, yeah, that'd be pretty tough. I'd probably jump at any opportunity to get that back.
I'll give her back her horn. No lie.
First view first like first comment:))))))
LIKES LIKES LIKES
I know the story is and but I don't care, it was fun, songs were catchy, new characters I'll never see in the show X3 and it was worth the money to go see and watch, besides it's a kids movie the plot isn't suppose to be overly complicated or anything, the movies fine watch it with your kids
Bad not and

brony95 You realise what this movie was hyped to be? I'm not so sure if this review is really overexaggerated.
It was just a joke of Croce the movie could have been better but i still think we as people nit pick to much and should just sit back and enjoy the little things even if they have some errors
i give it a 8 out of 10
Where did you get that tumbnail? It's pretty funny xD

Thanks! :D
Celeste Palacios No problem! Be sure to check em out sometime.
90% of the fanfics are better then this.
Fractured Hearts, I agree. I wish there would have been a competition from the fans for best screenplay. They could have spent the saved million on better advertising. The stupid emoji movie made about four times as much.
Tommy Seabee True that! The emoji movie Sometimes I do wish for the zombie apocalypse would just get here all ready.
