@@pikeandperch haha, yeah I've been fishing since I was 7 (13 now) and it's the first time thats ever happened. I wasn't that scared, was for my phone though.
Awesome bud brilliant days craic, my experience with sea fishing is you let the spinner sink... then you never see the spinner again! Lol you must be on a sandy bottom there? Theres so many new lures for all types of predator fishing coming on the market that I get bored using the same lures for more than a few sessions, then I see someone with new lures on TH-cam and I have to get those ones! Who's being caught us or the fish?
Used to holiday at trearddur bay as kids, we'd take those eggs those little toy machines spit out on the caravan site and use them as floats, put on a chunk of macky for bait and pull up 2-3lb's a chuck, brought back memories this, sorry kids for being the old git reminiscing 😉
Those where the best memories, probably never to be repeated. I feel sorry for kids now being stuck inside on the interwebs all day when they could be out doing normal kids stuff like that.
@@BUSTERy dead right mate, it's crazy how much the world changes right before your very eyes, one or two generations and it's almost unrecognisable, some may say not for the better but I'll not go all political in a pleasant fishing video thread 😉 👍
Haha that Intro! "hope you blah blah" *looks defeated* hahaha. Which gives me a great idea. Can you make a video of all "bloopers" and things that go wrong?
@@I.have.an.std. ye thanks mate I made a few jigs from old cutlery but haven't tried them out yet, ye I'll try slow rolling them near the bottom with a few twitches
I’ve used cheap Dexter Wedge copies off eBay - mainly because I’ve been fishing in the Outer Hebrides and they cast like bullets into wind! I swapped trebles for singles, fewer snags and no loss in hook ups. Much easier unhooking too if they grab two or even all three hook points.
Thanks mate. Good to know. Have never targeted pollock, so next time I don’t fancy a twilight session I might try deeper water for pollock during the day.
Nice vid mate, i like pollock, nice to eat too! Ik didn't saw the moment you loosing your Chinese rod, did you cut it out? Yesterday i fish illegal for one hour, caught a pike and went home quickly, not nice to fish like that, 2 weeks and the closing time is over! I am happy than!
Please be more mindful. It really looks like you're slamming some of those releases straight into rocks/shallow water over rocks. It doesn't take much more effort to give them a better release in deeper water.
Nice pollack, went down a canal yesterday and fell in, first time that happened and wasn't the best experience since it was raining.

seekers are the best modern sea fishing lures

Hi dan, I'm thinking of doing some pollock fishing off the rocks and I was wondering if you had any tips on what lures to use, how to work them etc.
Don’t go really expensive on lures the cheapest metal jigs fished just above the sea bed on deep rough ground can’t go wrong

The seekers are fantastic, shame about the price tight lines
What time of day were you out mate? Thanks for the vid.

Mate the savage gear physco sprat is the best metal lure by far
they are good but you might aswell put the quid or 2 extra and buy yourself an abu krill of ebay, theres no lure that looks near it off the rocks
nice vid.. what size/weight/color is that lime savage gear? Too many to choose from on the website 😉
Wher u fishing ther cos we went out to day and go one Mac
Hi mate off to Cornwall in July was wondering what setup you are using for your sea fishing as I’m going to get a setup just for the sea 🌊
Did you catch much
@@I.have.an.std. loads of wrasse mate I would send you pics but can’t on here
Did you loose many lures that trip? Great video mate
Great video mate, whats your trick not to get snagged ? do you count your drop to the bottom ?
Change from trebles to singles, they snag much less, and when they do they generally pull out.
Good day out. What rod reel and line are you using?
Fishing, something where size doesn’t matter to have a good time
Hello! how you mangae not to snag it into the weeds and rocks
