I've seen many of Mike's and your videos now, and I love the relationship you two have. You have both inspired me to get back into the outdoors and fishing again. I have to adapt due to my disability, but I doubt I would've made a move without your inspiration. So, thank you, both.
I have to praise you for your videos. Rather than just being 'look at me' catching fish they are educational whether you are a beginner or more experienced and full marks for that. Rob.
Ex-pat Brit in Japan and fly fishing nut. Graeme, thks for sharing your knowledge and experience. Very generous and highly entertaining! Tight lines from Japan.
just started watching yous about 6 months ago yous got me into fishing and the first time i went out fishing in rockabill in north co.dublin i caught a 5 pound pollock great vid guys
Nice work. I just remember the great pollock fishing I had in Norway. We had Pollocks up to 11 Pounds on spinning rods with 7 gramms casting weight :))
funny how you guys put this video up the day I come home from holiday from catching 1 Pollock aha. could have done with the tips a week earlier but still great vids as usual :)
I use the same LRF rod mike has for mackerel, pollack, bass, and wrasse, the best fights you will ever have. Great fun. Love the vid, you should try for some wrasse next time.
Left on the mooring.Too far to tow to Ireland, the small self-drives are ideal for this type of fishing.Just jump out the car walk to the boat, load up and go.Perfect.No worries about towing/.launching/retrieve,bearing seize, blowout, loose straps etc.
You need the lead to get down in deeper water/stronger tides/faster drifts etc.Might be 2 ounces, could be up to 1 lb if you are over a deepwater wreck in a wind and spring tide.
It beats me how Mike can remain so calm with a nutter like you Graeme lol , seriously though you make a great pair putting out some great videos; keep the tips coming all the best Mike.
That's a big reef pollack.I've fished the Manacles quite a bit but found it tough to crack into double figures. That's a nice fish, but watch out for the Mako sharks there !!
That's ok Michael, if you go onto our website homepage (link is in the video description) there is a "subscribe to us by email" box on the right hand side of the homepage. If you put your email in there you will receive updates from us that way.
I found a place in Kerry (Ireland/where I live) and its a bridge, drop any lure down and you catch 1 pounder pollock all day (they ain't the biggest but it's fun). caught around 50 in two days in the spot, which is very public!!
Graeme if you ever want to do some good coarse fishing in lake virginia in co.meath or west meath i forget which one but there are some good fish there just in case your in the area
You need to check with another regular there as it all depends on size of bait you are using and size of fish.I would have thought about 4/0 would be big enough.Don't pull them too hard, especially as you try to haul them through the last of the surf.It can open the hook.Let any fish wash up with each wave, don't try to hold it if the wave sucks it back.Good luck with them, sounds as though you are having success
well done guys another great video, I'm surprised at you going for light gear I always think you need heavy for sea fishing just goes to show what I know
another great video lads keep up the good work. graham I noticed you done a couple of videos with questions from the viewers. where can I ask a question
Hi Michael, glad you like the video, if you like us on facebook - Totally Awesome Fishing we will post on there when we will be doing another Q&S video
Do you need to use a weight? Why not just tie the mainline directly to the metal loop on the lure and fish it vertically, keeping in contact with the lure?
Tip for you maestro. Use string when showing us plebs in your "how to tie knots vids". We can see it a lot easier on our little clever phone screens then! 😂 😂
Iam fishing loch long soon for pollock and was wondering what bait you think would work best frozen sand eels or frozen lug worm? Great videos keep them coming.
No idea as I've never fished there before, but my own choice would be frozen sandeel. Make sure it is hanging straight and not bent if you are retrieving it.
Grim reaper Gaming Yes you can, but better to use a paddle tail soft plastic. Hit the bottom with the lead, wind up slowly and hopefully you get a take!
Personally, I use black or orange sidewinder lures but red eddystone eel lures are also deadly, but they have to be weighted down. With spinners, I find that a plink followed by a toby lure at a steady retrieve works best, close to the bottom. Hope this helped.
Hi guys , I think I have watched all your vids now , I have an Orkney long liner and am taking it to the Llyn peninsula next week for its maiden sea voyage , Boys what wind speed would deter you from taking out an 18 ft dinghy, the forecast is between 12 and 25 mph winds , would this put you guys off or would you consider it reasonably safe for inshore fishing ? Any help would be appreciated , I have spent an hour searching u tube for advice and found nothing of use .
I spent about 3 years cancelling trips down Cornwall that gave borderline forecasts, and then the weather turned out great !! I personally don't like going out in anything blowing a force 3 unless they give it dropping. Especially if it is due to deteriorate as that 3 could suddenly go to a 5 and then you have problems. When I did a lot of self drive fishing from rental boats in Florida I would put a limit on going offshore of 10 knots,as the boats were Boston Whaler design, not unlike my own which is a Cathedral hull so will bang in any sort of head sea.You want to enjoy your fishing, not make an endurance test out of it.Watch the isobar forecasts and check out your local weather sites.Ask other small boat users as well. But the main thing is..don't take chances. If in doubt..Leave it out !...You can always take another day.
Thanks very much guys, message received and understood ,think I will take her , but leave her trailered if it's dodgy, I can always go rock hopping with a spinning rod , fantastic show and your time is greatly appreciated.
im looking for a od reel and line i can use for all round lure fishing, trout, perch pollock, what line should i use? you did use 1olb mono on one of your vids with the graphite rod@@TAFishing
awesome show. i have learnt so much from your channel. but please, everyone on deck needs to wear a life jacket. doesnt matter how good a swimmer you are. one accident can turn out alot worse or god forbid fatal.
I've seen many of Mike's and your videos now, and I love the relationship you two have. You have both inspired me to get back into the outdoors and fishing again. I have to adapt due to my disability, but I doubt I would've made a move without your inspiration. So, thank you, both.
the worst thing about watching this is i am jealous lol great show guys always a pleasure to watch
I have to praise you for your videos. Rather than just being 'look at me' catching fish they are educational whether you are a beginner or more experienced and full marks for that. Rob.

I really enjoy your videos. I learn a lot from them.
great video again Graeme keepem coming, you inspire me.

Great video as always. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, I will look forward to putting it into practice.
I use the same LRF rod mike has for mackerel, pollack, bass, and wrasse, the best fights you will ever have. Great fun. Love the vid, you should try for some wrasse next time.
Loved this video, thx for sharing guys:)
awesome fishing guys!
I caught a seagull once it was a bugger to fillet 🏴
Left on the mooring.Too far to tow to Ireland, the small self-drives are ideal for this type of fishing.Just jump out the car walk to the boat, load up and go.Perfect.No worries about towing/.launching/retrieve,bearing seize, blowout, loose straps etc.
17:16 think you caught a shot of a basking shark,,,,.......have a look see what you think..great vids graham keep it up
Ay well its defiantly something. To the right of the boat about 100 yards out at a wild guess ? Fin breaking above the water.
You need the lead to get down in deeper water/stronger tides/faster drifts etc.Might be 2 ounces, could be up to 1 lb if you are over a deepwater wreck in a wind and spring tide.
All the lures come packaged with the hooks,or are molded into the head of the lure.Unless you mean the plastic worms ? 2/0 to 4/0 I guess is average.
It beats me how Mike can remain so calm with a nutter like you Graeme lol , seriously though you make a great pair putting out some great videos; keep the tips coming all the best Mike.
brilliant, when are the bbc going to give you a saterday morning show graham pullen is a genius
Top man keep up the vids pal.

That seagull is a loyal fan
Thanks for getting back to me lads, I'm not on Facebook but I'm sure i can sort something out. Cheers
That's ok Michael, if you go onto our website homepage (link is in the video description) there is a "subscribe to us by email" box on the right hand side of the homepage. If you put your email in there you will receive updates from us that way.

Graeme if you ever want to do some good coarse fishing in lake virginia in co.meath or west meath i forget which one but there are some good fish there just in case your in the area

do more of these videos.
Where are you I cant find where you say it
hi. great selection of vids. bit of advice needed. im new to boat sea fishing wats the best rod to use. Many thanks
Can you use rag worm on the boom
yes, but retrieve it very slowly, or let it hang just off the sea bed by about ten feet.
what was the line strain??
Nice one Graeme, love ireland, as I always say ahahhaa! Love pollock they fight so hard, as do coal fish, maybe harder, would you agree?
Tom
one question....how often do you 're cover your pool table? because it gets a pasting from hooks and weights 😂
+Andy Ward You are so right. Its truly shocking. We use it as a workbench .I rarely get my balls on the table now !!! If you know what I mean !!
Have u ever been to viaduct fishery in Somerset
What size lure do you news
what size hooks would you recommend ?
What casting weight are the rods you are using?
What is that reel that young mans using at 14:50?
Probably an old out of production Shimano
Instead of a boom, couldn't you rig the lure up like a drop shot rig?
Iam fishing loch long soon for pollock and was wondering what bait you think would work best frozen sand eels or frozen lug worm? Great videos keep them coming.
No idea as I've never fished there before, but my own choice would be frozen sandeel. Make sure it is hanging straight and not bent if you are retrieving it.
haha there were fly rods on the dingy with you!
whats wrong with that mate? You can get some insanely good sport on Fly rods mate, with Wrasse, Mullet, Pollack, Bass and even Mackerel and Garfish!
Yeah I'm sure you can, I don't remember this comment but yeah sea fishing with flies is good fun
Kiwi Fisher I haven't tried it yet tbh! might do next summer down the south coast of devon!
good luck, sinking line and big shiny streamer wetflies, and popper (surface) wetflies
Are the feathers any good for Pollock ?
Yes when there are lots of Pollack around.Single lures are better for the larger fish.
That favourite lure of yours and Mike's Graeme I think is called either a Pearl or a Bloodhead.
you guys had a pack attack!
are you going to do some coarse fishing anytime soon?
Can you guys do a video on rock fishing ?
does the colour of the line affect the fishing? thx
Ibnu Pasha Papadimitriou I don't think so when sea fishing. But using a clear trace near the hook must be better for visual feeders in clear water.
TAFishing thank you very much
+TAFishing can you use the artificial wormes on wrecks???
Grim reaper Gaming Yes you can, but better to use a paddle tail soft plastic. Hit the bottom with the lead, wind up slowly and hopefully you get a take!
whats the depth?
Hi were do u get the flutterworms? i looked online but cant find any thanks love the vids :D
What seems to be the best lure and best colour for Pollack?
Personally, I use black or orange sidewinder lures but red eddystone eel lures are also deadly, but they have to be weighted down.
With spinners, I find that a plink followed by a toby lure at a steady retrieve works best, close to the bottom.
Hope this helped.
They love Rhubarb and Custard sidewiner lures mate, which is yellow and red.

rock & roll
could you use that lure in a bay?
No reason why not.Should work almost anywhere, shallow or deep.
thanks for the info!
ohh yayyyyyyy
Great video! Roughly how many feet of water were you in? I fish off a small super dingy in about 30ft of water in the Channel Islands.
Probably 20/30 feet.
Yep, I found that out now that i finished the video! haha Thanks for the response.
can you uise 10lb mono
You could, but it might be a bit light. 15 to 20lb would be more the norm for Pollack fishing.
im looking for a od reel and line i can use for all round lure fishing, trout, perch pollock, what line should i use? you did use 1olb mono on one of your vids with the graphite rod@@TAFishing
WHERES THE YELLOW BOAT ?
We have done, check out our rock fishing playlist on our channel homepage
HOW CAN A GUY I THE USA GET ONE OFYOUR HATS AND SHIRT
You can buy them from their website (link in description)
LIFE-JACKETS! I love your stuff but in a boat this size everyone should have a life-jacket on.
ok thanks found them now obviously didnt look hard enough lol thanks
Just type Sidewinder Flutter worms into your search engine
awesome show. i have learnt so much from your channel. but please, everyone on deck needs to wear a life jacket. doesnt matter how good a swimmer you are. one accident can turn out alot worse or god forbid fatal.
