IF ONLY IT WAS ALWAYS LIKE THIS | LURE FISHING FOR BASS | SAVAGE GEAR SANDEEL

  • This was my first fishing session of 2023. As I arrived at the mark, the conditions looked favourable. After an earlier session a few weeks before whilst using the Megabass Zonk, this time, I opted for the 23g Savage Gear sandeel. This lure is extremely lifelike and would be an ideal lure choice to run over large sandy areas with pinnacles of rocks in between.
    Within the first dozen or so casts, I hooked and landed about 5 fish. The action continued on this thoroughly enjoyable session so check out the video to see how it went!
    Thanks for watching and see you on the next one 🎣

    I know few people notice but your editing is great between cameras, in one shot as you turned around I saw your camera tripod for a split second and got really creeped out for a moment as I thought it was a person in the background watching you 😂😂 One thing I always found fishing evenings and nights were the sounds you hear, water can make some strange noises, once it was like someone loudly very coughed right behind be and gave me the heebie-jeebies ha ha. Thanks for the videos mate and hope you have a great 2023!

    • @FISHINGWITHCAL
      @FISHINGWITHCAL  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks a lot 👍🏼 To be honest, I could probably do a lot more with different cameras but gopros are easy to carry around and do the job. Yeah at night you hear all sorts of funny noises! There are a lot of spots over here where if you're fishing at night with your head torch off, when you turn it on there are rats right next to your feet 😂

    • @JagdgeschwaderX
      @JagdgeschwaderX ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FISHINGWITHCAL Ha ha I live on Anglesey and have had the rat experience a few times as well. The strangest one that ever happened to be was when I was on a shingle beach and there was an unmistakable sound of a big pebble landing right behind me as if someone had thrown it at me. I have a very powerful head touch and I scanned everywhere behind me 100% I was the only person out for a mile in any direction. That put the hairs up on the back of my neck for a bit lol

I’m new to this all and I keep losing lures in snags and rocks, am I better off going with surface lures like Patchinkos until I get a bit better? Are there any good bass lures that work at just under the surface? Cheers in advance mate. Take it easy.

    • @FISHINGWITHCAL
      @FISHINGWITHCAL  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mate. If you’re fishing shallow rough ground then yeah, surface lures are great. Take a look on some website for shallow divers though, many of them can be fished just under the surface. IMA lures like the hound glide, komomo, sasuke etc. Also look at the savage gear gravity sticks. You can fish those weightless and weedless so avoids most of the snags. Evobass lures are also great for that too.
