After getting lots of Perch through the season it completely died....I was still getting small Pike though but, in the end, my last trip on the River Nene last Wednesday ended up lasting 6 casts....The torrential rain on the Sunday and Tuesday had buggered it good and proper (after getting 3 sessions in after the February floods)......Never mind though, June is but a few months away. Can't wait to get my BFS setup used again.... As for weedless.....bloody love it and it got me many fish (Pike and Perch) during the weedy summer....I've always got some made up with me on the bank.... Loved the Snagged Bro comment....made me smirk as they mention you a few times :)
Chris thank you so much for all the tips and guidance, you catch so many good fish yet again, great perch amazing pike. hope to see more great fishing from you
What a vid and what a day Chris. 🙂Those are some fine early spring Perch which are going to weigh much more in the summer. I hope we get to see a repeat summer session too. By the way, loved the Snag Bros banter 13:45. And it sounded a bit like you said a nice couple of "slags" over there at 2:10..But the Pike are the cherry on the cake. Those are two awesome end of river season fish. Awesome fighting power. Although you still worry me at times using monofilament when you know there are Pike...(Big Ones too). Just switch to a fine supply 12 to 16 pound wire when you fish there for predators next time. I'm sure you'll still get the big Perch interested too. 🎣🙂
Some really decent genetics going on in that river. Here in Wis we don't have perch like that anymore. We have Lake Michigan but that's not considered inland fishing - monsters in there, huge stocked trout and salmon, but I'd rather have what you have. Healthy fish, nice vids.
Pure nostalgia! Uncle Ted used to take us down the poo pipe in the summer with a pocket full of change. We used to sing "Poo pipe poo pipe keep it Shtum, Poo pipe poo pipe don't tell mum". I used to love his game of steal our shoes and walk home bare foot.
Great vid. Some great fishing as usual. You are truly talented fisherman, no vids from you with a mihap of some kind.Mr Magoo. See you in June ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
The one by the poo pipe the one by the tree. I don’t know why, but that just hit me right and I laughed for 10 minutes. Great video sir. I’m watching in Arkansas not the you would even know where that is but fishing is fishing and you do it well.
Love your videos any chance you could do a video on your set ups and rigs as I've not used jig heads before and am wanting to give it a try Keep up the cracking vids
Nice vid Chris 👍 would you bother with spinners for perch, or would you prefer to use jigs? I had a 1lb 9oz perch out of the canal on a 7g spinner, but in the last month or so ive not seen one.
That one with the big dorsal fin was a sailfish hybrid😂😅 Beautiful fish and on a small stream like that I had many 2pound+ and some 3pound perch but on a big canal I think the surrounding you catch those spike piggys in make the whole experience so much complete and rewarding this year i have as a goal start to fish a river but its a big river and i have zero experience on fast current fishing so it will be challenging but i want to achieve my goal of catching a perch or zander on it Nice video again mate👌👍
Perch of a life time them. Fair play love the worm on a ledger in the margins on the test. Certain areas get the big ish ones. Always carry a tea towel when handling lol
@@Hammster_MCR im a pike perch chub roach fisherman so i was just wondering cuz river fishing near me is absulutely awful and it gets better during summer but even then its like a ghost town where i fish are canals still free to fish?

When you take the time to look at a perch, you can see how prehistoric they look. Absolutely amazing fish.
What a fantastic end to the river season! Showing SB how to multi species fish and giving them a ribbing was well funny!!
Love ittt

The perch in the us aren’t the same species as in Europe they just don’t get nearly as big as the European species
European perch get larger than yellow perch in the USA
European Perch can grow in perfect conditions up to 60cm but its more common to see them at around 40cm
@@uvveshlurvvesh6515do you mean cm? We use pounds of weight.

Lovely Fish Chris , Great video as always
Always so impressed with you accuracy in casting. I think it would cost me a fortune in lures to get that good.
Its mad how many fish you can catch when you set the hook 😉😂
Great video again Chris!

Great video that's a beast of a perch
Awesome ending to the season mate!
Do you actually jig in those water conditions or just animate the lure and reel in?
The perch came out at 13:22 about 25 seconds before you started firing at snagged bro about having two in the net 😂😂
Excellent video!
Snagged bro ain't gonna like it ginger rule😂
Lol casually calling out Snagged Bro 😂
Superb video Chris thank you such a shame about closed season on rivers I think why do they still enforce it
Thanks Chris for another great season.. bring on June 16th.
Beautiful perch that, he was proper showing off for the camera too
Bravo mate!!
Big up snagged bro
Season just opened for me.

Hi Chris i love you video! I have one question what rod do you using? Im looking for some good perch casting rods
Thanks

Great perch catches, do you worry about getting bitten off by pike with the Fluro leader?
Doubles only ❤

If i can ask Chris What is the net you use?? 💪💪
Ginger makes me wana quit fishing 😂on the other hand iv learnt big pike love creatures
Hello just wondering this reel wichyou use , is it good for a light lure casting? 2 gr head example
Thank you
Hi Chris, What is the rod you use for lures please, what length, and what weight is it rated for? Thanks

Poo pipe is exactly the same as one on River Hull in Beverley i fished in my youth in the 80's
thanks for all detailings
What’s the kit you are using or have you a link to it, looks good👍
What river is this? Looks like you get a great array of fish. Also if I wanted to fish the Avon what would you suggest on a dual rod setup?
Snagged Bro shots FIRED

Nice string of fish...
That was fun😊

Great video. I wonder if Hannah Baron watch this channel…
Can you still fish for perch and pike off season
How do you catch in a flooded river my river looks like chocolate and I can't catch even a jack
Chris how come you never pick up brownies on your local river mate?
Nice perch though
Why is it you hardly ever have your landing net ready to use?
when does river season start again?
June 16th I think.
You can still target brown trout in rivers during so called "closed season".
