- Video 70 Does your window rattle ? This video shows how I tried to fix the window rattle when closing the door with the window down on my Jaguar XK8 (X100). Similar issues with other Jaguar frameless doors.

Absolutely excellent. Replaced mine today using some eBay mini door trim strip wrapped in cloth tape. Horrid rattling noise gone.

great vid as you have now informed me what that strip was ,after i fitted a bare shell door and this was left over . Only other thing you forgot was ,disconnect the battery as i found the electric window could come down automatically when fiddling around inside the door .
Derek, Good idea to disconnect the battery but I didn't as was constantly moving the glass up and down. But agree would be safer. Thanks for good input regards Damian
I would find it simpler to just unplug and replug the door connector at the hinge line.

@@ODRModurol Just to be clear, anytime you disturb any original connection, there is a potential for opens upon reconnecting due to oxides on faying surfaces. I always recommend DeoxIT Gold G5 spray prior to reconnecting.

Out of curiosity I had a quick look on eBay in the UK and similar type seals are available. So that would save shipping from the US. Thanks for giving me another job to do!
