Everyday we have a whole bunch of little stressors that show up. Even though each one of them by themselves might not be that big of a deal, when they go unaddressed time after time they add up to a lot of stress or anxiety that sits trapped in our bodies and causes overall nervous system disregulation. In this talk I teach you how to identify these little stressors and how to deal with each one of them in.just a few seconds. This will not only help you feel more calm and grounded in the moment, but it will activate your parasympathetic nervous system, which, over time, will put you into a more calm and regulated state overall.

It was funny to hear, Julia, about your, quite audible big breath to regulate and ground yourself, which made people worried. Thank you Julia for this video! :)

I've been feeling very stressed lately. My stomach does summersaults sometimes because of how stressed i feel. And when i'm not suffering from my stomach doing summersaults, i'm dealing with a stomachache. Being stressed really sucks. 😞😩

HI Julia! Senior Shifter Chris here!
    My thoughts and notes:
How to Regulate Your Nervous System When You Feel Stressed & Anxious.
My Take-away: This was a good reminder for me to check in with myself and I realized I don’t set that time for me to take a break like I used to. I found meditation to be so peaceful and relaxing. The little mindfulness break we did in yesterday’s session was peaceful and calming. I will try and make an effort to check in with myself more.
    My Notes:
*A lot of big stressors can come from job changes, moving, relationship changes…etc…
*Everyday little stressors can come from emails, texts, to-do lists, tasks…etc…and they can build into a bigger stressor.

    What to do:
    1. Check in with yourself for at least a week.
    2. Check in with yourself and ask yourself,
"How am I feeling right now?"
"What tension am I hanging on to?"
3.Set a timer - Every 20 minutes, take a breath and ask yourself how you feel now. Notice how those stressors feel in your body and nervous system.
    4. Practice grounding and regulating yourself - Take a deep breath and/or focus on exhaling fully and imagine yourself opening and softening, or yawning.
    5. Give yourself quick reassuring reminders - "In this moment, I am okay." or " I don't have to worry about this now or deal with this now."
    6. Start your day with a mindfulness exercise or meditation (Or prayer) - Coming into your day in a more calming state of mind.

Note: sorry if something sounds wrong, I'm using Google translate.😅😅

I'm starting to wonder if this is what started my fibromyalgia up in the beginning. I was in a bad place emotionally. I had a very physical job that was breaking me down. My husband at the time was stressing me out and telling me I should be grateful for the job I have, but not letting me get new shoes or dress clothes for the job. And I remember standing looking down over a railing and people watching thinking "I'm always going to be stuck in this cycle and I'll never get out." And I knew then I was storing my stress in my body, but I had no idea how to get rid of it. Hopefully doing some of the things in this video will help.

Yes, the power of the breath. I almost consider it to be my best friend inside my body for its ability to generate more oxygen throughout and to help regulate my nervous system. Nothing beats creating a moment to pause and take a few deep breaths with a longer exhale.
I'll take it over a glass of beer!
