Oh man, you should check out his "Sufferfest" video series with Cedar Wright from 7 years ago, way before he hit mainstream popularity - 700 miles of jank biking & climbing between the two of them. This thing with Tommy and their buddy hits the same exact spots as that video series.
I just bought it and finished “Bridge Boys”. I cannot imagine climbing 80 pitches of 5.13ish roof crack. Yes Tommy and Alex are legends (Tommy is my favorite climber ever) and yes, it’s insane what Charles can do with his minimalist approach. But Pete and Tom blew my mind.
I made the mistake of taking a few years off once due to injuries, but now that i'm climbing again I realize its something that I love and that I will do until the day I die. So good for our physical and mental well being. I hope you get the stoke back after watching! :)
Just started watching this only 20 seconds in but had to pause it to comment!!! That opening intro is so cool looking with them climbing at night with the lights on them!! What a cool shot and whoever had that idea your a genius really amazing and again I had to pause just so I could comment WOW!!!!
the only thing that can eclipse alex's epic half dome and el cap free solos (in the minds of the general public anyway) is if someone comes along and does it without shoes
Every reelrock has a film of a women doing a route that “no woman has ever done before!” Would love to see a woman do a route that no man or woman has done, same story getting old, we already know women can do the same routes as men!
I’m super psyched for Alex that she feels free to be her whole self now, but the idea that there is a “glass ceiling” to what women can climb is just absurd…
I cant wait to see a female charles. One that just does her thing instead of falling into the same old boring stereotypes of smashing imaginary social constructs..
Ironically, the bridge crack climbing movie seems the most boring. I prefer trad and that style. The barefoot bouldering guy who lives in a cave looks great. And I could care less about bouldering.
