    Who else is far more interested in the down climb footage?
    Austrian Alpinist Paul Preuss once said: "The degree of difficulties that a climber is able to handle with certainty on the descent and that he/she trusts the skills with clear coinscience must represent the uppermost limit of what he can do on the ascent.""

    I'm glad I'm not the only idiot who's thought of doing this as more than a passing thing. Did graffiti over a decade ago and climbing up to roof tops was almost more fun than painting itself. Shit came full circle

      @TheXavioo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I feel you! For me, putting a throw up on a roof or someplaces crazy is just to show off that i reached a place nobody could think of! Someone coming up to me asking how the fuck i did it is the best feeling

      @@noahlangdon2953 right here with yah. I do a bit of writing here and there but not like I used to. I actually started learning how to rappel in a dingy ass alley going into the basement of my apartment building so that I could spray a bridge, which led me into a climbing a round about way having that knowledge, but ive always loved it. We'd break into bandos and id be all over the pipes and walls. Or bridges in steel cities are the best.

    To anyone commenting about the danger and recklessness of buildering... The filmmakers put that warning at the beginning for a reason. They recognize your points, yet choose to do it anyway. Most of the risk is pretty damn personalized anyway... the risk of actually falling on someone or even breaking off bits of what you're climbing on is VERY low so long as you're being cautious.

    • @wizardchickenboy
      @wizardchickenboy 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      caution is the key point, I have a friend that was climbing something VERY off limits. He either slipped or smth broke off, because he fell and broke his wrist, pelvis, and femur.

    I had the pleasure of buildering with some of the best back in the late 70's at UC Boulder and Stanford. It was the wild west back then with very few restrictions. Me thinks times have changed. Jim Collins once told me that the hardest climb he ever did was a traverse down in a stair well at Stanford. He actually had a needle perched on one of the ledges along the way that he would hold in his teeth and pop the blisters that were forming from the crimps. True story.

      I feel like 90+ percent of the time that people say that, it's not actually true. There is some sentiment to it that may be true, like how life is about doing things that you want to do and not letting fear paralyze you. But almost nobody is out there risking their lives on things that they aren't nearly certain that they will walk away from.
