Nice job, the finished product looks great.👌 It's nice to hear thanks to the men and woman that fight and have fought and died for our freedoms. Thanks to all who have served, and their family's too.
There were several generations of brazin’ men and women that we have to think for the lifestyle we are able to live today. They don’t get enough appreciation IMO. Thanks for watching!
Shirts: I have been wearing the Riggs cotton twill shirts for a number of years now. Love them and they hold up to welding better than any shirt I’ve ever worn. Tried the FR version of those same shirts and they aren’t quite as good of a fit and they literally burn up three times as fast! Lincoln 7018: I bought a little box of the AC/DC rods down in Florida while on a job because the welding supply didn’t carry Lincoln Excalibur 7018 (which is mind-boggling in its self), tried running 3 or 4 rods and threw the rest in the dumpster. Definitely not the same as Excalibur! Suit Case on a Trailblazer: I’ve been running Lincoln Ranger 305G engine drives (the heads-on competitor to the Trailblazer) since 2005. They work marvelous! Thus far I’ve had a Miller 12VS, a Lincoln LN-15, a Lincoln Activ8 X and now a Lincoln LN-25 Pro Dual. Nice work! Thanks for posting.
Really cool build. Enjoyed watching the series. Good to see your kids wanting to come out and help. Just an FYI, not meant to be a criticism, but a teachable moment - On Memorial Day, we remember those that died while serving. Armed Forces Day is when we honor those that are serving today. Veteran's Day is when we honor those that have served. Stuart, I know you meant well, and it's received as such, but, as a veteran myself, I try to pass on this tidbit from time to time.
I actually did know that, I guess I just took it as an opportunity to voice my appreciation for not just those that have given the ultimate sacrifice, but also to those that are currently serving. Didn’t mean to take away from the root meaning, just hoping to add to it. It is a good reminder though. Thank you.
Thanks, I really appreciate that. I hope it does last a lifetime. As long as he has no issues within reason, I guess it means I did my job. Thanks for watching!
Good afternoon family, congratulations because your work is excellent, I really like your videos, I think you are a great family. My name is Ricardo, I'm from Brazil Guarulhos São Paulo, here I work with iron and stainless steel, I would like to live and work there, I've been to the United States twice. Wonderful country, I saw that you are Trump, I like him too. hugs
Thanks Ricardo, Its nice to have a friend in Brazil! I feel very blessed to be able to live here, and do the kind of work I do. Thank you watching, and keep smiling! 👊🏻
Probably overkill but when we are welding D rings or hooks on steel that might be "thinner" like a tractor bucket. We take a 2x2 or 3x3" flat bar and weld that to the bucket first then the D hook onto that. That way it pulls on the whole area as opposed to just the middle where the D ring pivots.
That Feeder on the XMT should be able to run off the trailblazer or use a suitcase feeder. Can confirm on the lincoln 7018 from lowes, but love lincoln Excallbur 7018.
@@Freedomfabrication777 Have a old Hobart Hefty suitcase for running flux core with a Miller trailblazer 301g. Had been using Lincoln NR211, switching to Hobart 21b flux core wire in .035
@@robertoobregon3750 i’ve welded with Lincoln inner shield quite a bit, I guess I need to find a good Flux Core wire to use when I’m running and gunning.
*DISCLAIMER:* I'm not a welder, but, I'm guessing that rods from HD, Wally world, etc. have prolly been sitting in an *UNCONDITIONED* warehouse, getting the flux permeated with moisture?
That’s probably a contributing factor. Also, After I compared them to some good rod, the flux was about half as thick, which could lead to a lack of shielding/pin holes. Thanks for watching!
Are you using a fixed lens or an auto-darkening in your pancake? I've got my eye on the Snakebelly slim gold lens, but curious what other folks are using.
Good tip on the Lincoln welding rod

Another outstanding job! The finished product and all the modifications you have done are fantastic. That trailer will last a lifetime.

Great job on the trailer.
Thanks, It was quite a project. Thanks for watching!
That was a cool project. Turned out great!
Thanks, I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!
I had the same experience with Lincoln rod and I ordered it from McMaster-Carr
If it was the same stuff, I’m not surprised. The higher end Lincoln rod is good stuff, but that cheaper stuff is garbage. Thanks for watching!

I didn’t think of that. Probably a good idea though. Good info. Thanks for watching!

I use an auto darkening shade 11, and so far I love it. I’m loving the pancake for outside work. Thanks for watching!
you guys in troy mo ?

Great the customer trusted you to do more work for him. Great work generates more work
Very true. I am honored that they found me on TH-cam, and decided to have me work on their trailer. Thanks for watching!
