If you cut the axle shafts off, it will not be getting oiled from the rear end fluid anymore because the oil rolls down the axle shaft to get to the bearings in the end should repack bearings like a normal axle

I enjoyed the video and trying to find a small enclosed goose neck trailer for my f150. The reason is where I use to work my boss let me borrow his short bed truck with a goose neck trailer to haul a skid steer to my house. The skid steer was very heavy but with the goose neck trailer it pulled great but you could feel all the weight pushing when you tried to stop. I would love to have an enclosed small goose neck trailer because it puts the weight just forward of the rear axle and distributes some weight to the front axle. So far I haven’t found anything, that’s why I’m here getting some ideas. Great video!

Love watching your videos. You explain things so anyone can understand and tackle a project like this.

    Second.
Its a lot of work but the trailer will be very useful and support a lot of weight. Great job. Keep it up.

Any way you can explain how you used the speed square to get the angle you wanted for the neck?

Guess the only thing different i would have done was added at least a 4"(probably a 6") channel iron along the two bottom channel irons, two reason. A little more tire clearance and as you even said that flatbed was designed to have a truck frame underneath so you lessoned your payload capacity by not adding frame underneath!

very nice... but it's sooo short! I'm trying to figure what you'd use that for...

Would you need to have a cdl to pull that since it’s a dual wheel trailer
