Good point about removing "Video Stop" from the list of voice commands.

Thanks Ben an enlightening comparison, and excellent job as per usual. Tempted but already own the first gen A119 Mini (with a couple of Viofo Bluetooth remote controls), and many other dash cams including one's with voice control... The latter feature I rarely use. The video quality from the Mini 2 though has me thinking so we'll see what happens, a slight drop in our Canadian pricing just might do it LOL.

So not sure what to believe but mine card is working fine so I'll stick to that instead of buying another card.

I feel like this should have been a review of the new Mini 2 rather than a comparison. The price difference is negligible , the older gen Mini is ... well old. I'm heavily considering the Mini2, the only budget friendly one featuring the new Starvis 2?

Probably going to get a mini 2 next week. If it dies on me then it’s not like a $700 camera going in the bin. If it works well I might get a second one for the rear. Voice commands will be turned off, that’s not going to be reliable. Will get the Bluetooth button instead.
