    I tried this dashcam several weeks ago in my 2023 Accord Touring sedan. I found one fatal flaw with this unit - it conflicted with my wireless Android Auto. When my car connected to my phone, it terminated the Wi-Fi connection with the Viofo. When the Viofo connected to the Wi-Fi, it terminated my Android Auto connection. If these two cannot co-exist with each other, then I’d rather keep the Android Auto and ditch the Viofo, which I returned to Amazon. Too bad, as I really liked the Viofo.

    • @GuruPrasanna
      @GuruPrasanna ปีที่แล้ว +7

      You only really need to connect to the Viofo when you need to download videos or watch them, right?

    • @blackboxmycar
      @blackboxmycar  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Totally hear ya, this is a common complaint with a lot of dash cam wifi systems. Most of the time you can leave your phone connected to the android auto alone, and only turn on the camera wifi when you actually need to watch/download videos.
      Alternatively, if the connections are bullying-out each other, then you can actually stop this in the settings of your phone. Try switching to airplane mode when you connect to the camera, and if that works, try disabling "smart network switch" in the connectivity settings of your phone.

    • @blackboxmycar
      @blackboxmycar  21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Unfortunately, the VIOFO A119 Mini 2 is a front-only dash cam, and a rear camera cannot be added to it. If you're looking for a setup that includes both front and rear coverage, you might consider exploring other dash cam models that support dual-channel recording.
      If you have any other questions or need assistance finding a suitable dash cam setup, feel free to reach out to our support team at info@blackboxmycar.com or chat with us via Live Chat. We're here to help you find the right solution for your needs!

      Hi there, I understand how important a reliable app is when using a dash cam, and I’m sorry to hear about your frustration. The app experience can significantly impact how easily you can access and manage your dash cam footage. While some users have had issues, others find that apps like BlackVue's offer valuable features, such as live view, video playback, and easy file sharing.

    I have forgotten to remove small protection white film on sticky pad. I only removed red protection film. i have installed without Electrostatic sticker
    What can i do right now

    • @blackboxmycar

      The electrostatic sticker is fully optional! You don't need to apply it, it just means you'll have to clean the windshield a bit more to get rid of the residue when taking off the camera mount from the windshield.

      Sorry to hear that's been your experience there. I'd recommend getting another set of eyes on the footage to see if there are potentially any issues with the less of your camera. Send the footage to whoever you purchased it from to take a look.

    Hello. How much memory does it take by an hour of recording on highest settings please?

    • @blackboxmycar
      @blackboxmycar  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Based on the recording settings for the VIOFO A119 Mini 2, when set to its highest resolution of 2592P x 1944P @ 30fps with a medium bitrate, you'll typically use around 6-8GB per hour of recording.
      To give you a clearer picture, based on this tool's estimate, a 1.2-hour video is approximately 16GB at maximum bitrate.
      For more detailed information about SD card capacities and recording lengths, feel free to check out our SD card page: www.blackboxmycar.com/pages/sd-cards.

    Does it have wifi so that I can remotely view my parked car with the dashcam using the wifi from my home router?

    • @blackboxmycar
      @blackboxmycar  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The dash cam does have wifi, but it won't work in the way that you're looking for. The wifi from the dash cam is not a true wifi network, so it will only allow you to view footage on your phone and change settings, both when you're nearby. If you want to have the camera connect to your home router for remote viewing, that's going to be significantly more advanced, and require a clud compatible camera, like what's offered by BlackVue.

    • @blackboxmycar
      @blackboxmycar  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You cannot connect a rear facing dash cam to the A119 Mini 2. Some people have considered adding an additional Mini 2 in the rear, or you can consider the new VIOFO VS1 model. Alternatively, you can upgrade to a true 2-channel model like the A229 Pro 2CH

    • @blackboxmycar

      It doesn't matter much, it's personal preference! It's a backup port in case there are powering issues, we cover the reason for it in our Evolution of the A119 series video.
      In my opinion, the port on the mount is a bit cleaner :).

    I’ve had the A119 v2 for about 5 years and it worked fine until I actually needed it. Recently a car hit me and fled. I wasn’t worried because I knew I would have had a clear visual on the car and it’s plate. But when I took a look at the files they were corrupted leading back about a month. Unreadable files about 2mb in size, so I know it wasn’t even recording full clips. It even corrupted older files that I know recorded properly. There’s only a small section of files that work.
    Now I’m looking for a new camera that backs up to the cloud instantly.

    • @blackboxmycar
      @blackboxmycar  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry to hear that, sounds like it was likely an issue with the SD card in the camera, which on average needs to be replaced every year. If you'd like a camera that uploads to the cloud, then BlackVue would be a great option.
