To properly install a fuse tap, you need to first determine which side of the fuse terminal is hot (load side). Then plug the tap in with the load side of the tap to the load side of the fuse terminal. Otherwise bad things can happen.
Yes. Agreed. So the method would be to pull fuse and determine which post of the empty slot has power, and which is downstream of the fuse. Same for Tap. Fuse taps are great little devices.
Just so you know, the small USB is for hooking the Cam to a Computer to do the data transfer instead of using the Micro SD Card, that's why there's a USB C Socket on the camera itself. The power goes in the top of the GPS Part.
I put the clear easy on/off sticker on the part of the windshield that has the black dots. So it didn’t get a good seal. With the weight of the camera it flew off
If you did not use the clear sticker and instead use the units 3M tape onto the black dots would you think it would hold better as the dots give me the best position. Also would you buy Mini 2 or just get the cheaper A119 v3. Thanks.@@HaydenSchreier
Wow - excellent video Hayden. Thanks so much!.
Glad you liked it!

@@HaydenSchreier It is my pleasure. Can I put your link in my next video, about this Viofo dash camera.Hope you will get subscribers from my channel 😀
Can you connect the yellow only if you want power only when in accessory mode or with the ignition on?
I would think if you dont wire the Yellow and only wire the red then it will only turn on in Accessory or with Ignition on. only one way to find out!
Where did you connect the cable to with the aftermarket head unit? Can’t find anywhere to plug it into in mine
You need to be more specific than “the cable”
what is the correct size fuse tap ?
well it depends on the fuse you are pulling. When you buy the fuse taps it will have an assortment of sizes
What made the cam fall off the windshield?
I put the clear easy on/off sticker on the part of the windshield that has the black dots. So it didn’t get a good seal. With the weight of the camera it flew off
@@HaydenSchreier Ahh yeah that won't adhere well there obviously 😂

Is the noise suppression filter that close to the connector? That's pretty s h itty to hide behind the headliner....
Heh? Where else would you hide the wire besides the headliner?
@@HaydenSchreier Yea that's the point. Of course the cable fits behind the liner but not the noise filter...
Bro you look very similar to Leonardo DiCaprio! That's crazy! Hahaha 🤣
I used to get this every day when I bartended.
It's the first thing I thought when I opened this video too lol. Not a bad person to look like haha.
