I have made friends with an Amish family in New Holland, they tell me that their cows produce 4.5 gallons per milking, and they milk them twice a day, and the majority of the milk in Lancaster County goes to Land O Lakes for butter, cheese and cream. It's gorgeous, thank you for the videos.
Wow! Very interesting! Thankyou!! We have a brand new Ohio Amish video coming next week, we just left there.. we really love visiting their homesteads and regions
Amen Nathan! I LOVED this entire video......our old homestead area.......yes Kitchen Kettle......and wow those were beautiful pics of Shianne with Simeon with the evening sun setting!
Amish Country is definitely a very beautiful place. I just left on the 19th and it was one of the best trips I’ve taken in a long time. Definitely looking forward to going back when I do. Just need some assistance finding the farm in the video. I also drove all through the backroads but I must have missed it somehow.
I’m sorry you couldn’t find it but if you are referring to the family farm we went to we personally know them and unfortunately it’s not a public place to visit. However there are many other farms available!! I hope you had a wonderful trip! Oh yes we love to visit Lancaster as much as we can
Oh! That's awesome trip guys! 😍👏 Incredible tour!!! I wish I could spend some time among such wonderful people.... 🙏 Thanks for the video. I really like watching your vlogs🤗! Nathan's words of the Gospel were really touching.
@@nathanshiannetinsley5723 Thank You! And your little video showed what the area has to offer. Lancaster County is that... and so much more. Blessings to you.
Do you know the location of the farm that’s in the video? I was just there from the 17th-19th. It was a super beautiful trip but that info would be handy next time I go.
I know that hotel well. I stay there almost every year. Great people. Great to wake up and look out over the cornfield and see hot air balloons over that farm.
Oh I loved this video and I am New to your Channel. I Love, Love, Love Lancaster we go every year to Lancaster. We have been going for the last 25years or more. What was the name of the place you visited with the cows? I have never been to a place like that and I would love to visit it. We always have to go to kitchen kettle. Also if you have never eaten at Dieners on 30 by Miller's you must try it there .I Love how you talked about our Lord. That just thrills my Heart. As I am a Born again Christian. Thank you for taking us along for this Amazing Trip. So until next time God Bless you and your family and have a Blessed Evening and Stay Safe my dear Friends. 🔩❤🔩❤🔩❤🔩
Thankyou! And Great to hear from you and learn that you enjoyed the video of a truly special place! Yes we are Christians and love Jesus, too! I’m sorry I don’t know the name of the farm with the cows, it has a sign by the farm’s paved drive entrance I think mentioning quilts for sale. We stayed in an inn in Bird in hand on a previous trip and did a video with that too and they took us on a tour to that particular farm. So I knew it was open to the public so I happened to find it just driving around and pulled in. I’d have to “find” it again now lol but if I do one day in the future, I’ll likely be Filming and I’ll show it and give more details in that video. We live in Maine but travel to Georgia to visit family quite often so we stop in Lancaster on our way back home usually! God bless, stay in touch!
In 1977 I was young and spent the summer working on my uncle's dairy farm. They weren't Amish but it was a true Nebraska working farm. Worked my butt off.
The Amish people have a really free quality of life their farming skills is very noticeable in the US in a big way so they must be doing something right anyway Jeff here in Melbourne Australia
Great to hear from you way over there in the land down under..Its one reason I love TH-cam! So you are definitely right, the Amish are skilled farmers, bakers and craftsmen just to name a few things! They are business savvy as well!
What is the name of the farm that has the quilt shop and barns for you to tour. My family is planning a trip to Lancaster. Any places you recommend we visit??? Thanks!
Great question, sadly I can’t say bc I don’t remember.. we had taken a tour on a small bus there once bf and in this visit we had happened to stumble by it.. there’s lots of places in the towns of Bird in Hand & Intercourse, Pa. from there drive, drive, drive around and see all the Amish farms! Go daily, especially in the evening when they work their home gardens or lawns. Sight in Sound is amazing. For more ideas and food, check out the brochures at the hotel.
I laughed so hard about the “manure”! Malorie says shi shi looks pretty in a bonnet and uncle nay nay”s hair is crazy 😂😂😂 She also says she loves your Amish video 😊
FYI the place known for their shoofly pie is Dutch haven in Ronk's on Pretty sure it's Lincoln highway. And if you'd like a bonus tip, skip the generic drive through and almost directly in front of Dutch haven Is what I think is the best restaurant In the area. I'm almost hesitant to say it because way too many people have found out about it and the lines are crazy now. When I discovered it many years ago,It was a fairly well kept secret. It's run by a Mennonite family, and most of the cooks are Old order Amish or Mennonite. The food is amazing, and well not as dirt cheap as it used to be still very reasonably priced. Deinner's. Of all the amazing food they had, I still fantasize wanting more of their rice pudding, not something usually on my OMG List LOL. I've never had better in my life. It had to have real whipped cream in it. It was heavenly! Honestly I never knew it could be that delicious! But there are tons of choices and it's a gazillion times better than all the tourist trap buffets out there. It's actually the only restaurant I've been to in the area that had many Amish and Mennonites actually dining there, and not just working. SO good! But very short hours check their website.I suggest getting a number, then passing time at Dutch Haven behind it!

I have Amish friends in the Narvon area (Welsh Mountain) and I can't begin to recount all the blessings they have brought to my life over the years. You summed them up "chust" right! Thank you for the video. Your family is just lovely!
Aww Thankyou!! So glad you appreciate our family! We love it there and somehow manage to go often when passing thru the area! We love the Amish and can see them being a real blessing as friends!
I see you were at ‘kitchen kettle village’ and you didn’t taste the RED BEETS’ ?It’s their number one seller! I hope you at least went to the ‘Candle Barn’ ? Guess I’m going to have to show you guys around. Remember, NO picture taking of the Amish! It’s sort of a unwritten rule. Their people and NOT spectators. When you go back again and if you haven’t already been there, go eat at Dienner’s restaurant on route 30 next to the large white windmill. Dutch Haven, known for their ‘shoe fly pie’ all over the world. Enjoy- ken. 👽
Lol well, I’d agree I’m not use to it! However, my grandfather was a real hog farmer in South Georgia and we’d make trips down often. As time progressed he finally left that work. He’s with the lord today! But no I’m still not use to the smells lol
Areas of Lancaster county where Amish farmland is are nice. The city is a disgusting pit and the residents are mean and miserable. Southern end is nice, outskirts are nice. But avoid the town and city altogether. Market is overrated, just visit some of the farm stands or deli markets away from the city and go to Achenbach's bakery in Leola if you are craving Amish pastries. That way you don't have to tackle that horrible traffic in town. You will just destroy your car going over a million potholes and wait for Penndot thugs to flag you during a drive that should take ten minutes but takes an hour because of road construction. This message was brought to you by the Lancaster Sucks/Anti-tourism council. You're welcome.

Amish people believe the Ordnung is what get's you to Heaven I think. Yes they believe in the Bible but they are a works oriented people. If you look at it logically all Amish people are going to Heaven but not so much the rest of us unless we follow their law. I don't believe that it's Jesus plus something else. I believe it's Jesus period. But you know when you really see what Christ did for you on the cross your whole attitude should change to one truly following Jesus and His example.
