- My goodness, Mrs. Tulip doesn't own you folks a dime, she has treated your family with the up-most respect and that's a lot of milk! -your videos give me a sense of calm
I’ve had a family milk cow for about a year now and honestly wouldn’t be scared to say she’s one of the most important animals on the farm. Not only does her milk feed us, but it also supplements my chickens, dogs, and hogs. I loved this video! I have followed you on IG for a while and glad to have a ran across your channel here!
Love this video, it reminds me of my childhood in our home, full of milk all the time, lots of cooking and eating. God, i didn't know how lucky we were...
"Meet Daniel Neeleman, the son of David Neeleman, the CEO of JetBlue. Oh! You thought he was some sort of lowly farmer who is now living out his dreams because his wife went viral on TikTok? Nope, not even close. While Hannah is out here making farm life look like a fairytale, Daniel’s background screams anything but humble farmhand. I mean, it’s no wonder they can “enjoy” a soft, calm farm life with no other responsibilities - he’s fucking rich! And yet, they continue to feed into this idea that they’re very old-fashioned and like to live off the land - even though Daniel’s father’s net worth is about $400 million."
What a great way to raise your family. I retired after 35 year from a cheddar and cream cheese plant. Work on dairy farms growing up and married a farmer’s daughter lol. Always loved working with the cows.
Hi Hannah! As a brazilian veterinarian, I’ve to say that it’s lovely to see how you treat your farm animals and to watch you milk the cow!! Also loved to hear the story about the maple syrup and cinnamon & milk from here! Absolutely lovely!! ❤

My favorite video you've done so far: from outside to inside, the home farm to future milking business, connecting young days in Brazil to fresh milk w/maple syrup & cinnamon, littlest one at the end passing his food to his slightly bigger sister, and of course kids having real, true fun sledding, which they'll remember forever & which most kids used to be able to do but fewer nowadays, to the information about milking to your grounded idea to keep Tulip there.
Jerseys are so gorgeous, with their long eyelashes! hi from a wife of a previous dairyfarmer. We were sharefarmers then, so very restricted. My dad also milked cows for a living. just love it. I am from south east Australia and unfortunately most of our beautiful Australian top dairy land is being sold to buyers of land to build houses, or blocks to build on...Cheers..
There’s a farm here in the UK, Old Hall Farm that allows all the calfs to nurse until they’re 8 months old and I love that! I don’t know what your practice will be but I hope more farms would do that… they also have Jersey cows and the milk is absolutely divine! Plus, to know they are so loved and respected and that they get to nurse their babies as nature intended! I find the dairy industry so cruel when it separates the calf from the mother!
That's the friendliest cow I've ever seen. I like how she remains calm while you milk her. I've always seen people tie up their legs before they milk cows so they don't spill the milk.
I was hand milking at the age of six. On those cold days, the cows would warm us up. I think the raw milk is easier to digest because all of the enzymes are in tact. When milk is pasteurized many of the enzymes are destroyed by the heating process.
@@marvelouspeters4137 , no need to boil the milk before use, just make sure the udders are clean before milking and strain the milk through cheese cloth before drinking.
Started milking cows at very young age. We grew out own hay and grain. We never fed hay that had a mist of mold coming from it. Paw said it was dangerous for the cows.
What a fun lesson on a Saturday morning! 🥛🐂 🐄 I have always loved farms, cows, chickens, etc. My favorite thing to do as a little kid, big kid, teenager, mom, etc… was go to my grandparents, aunts & uncles homes & to their farms in the country after they moved closer to the city. Looking back it was always my favorite thing to do & I always wanted to live on a farm but we had moved to the city soon after I was born so I was brought up in the city but my heart is still in the country & how I miss my grandparents!! I still love living out but I never got to live the farm life like you do!! I envy every single thing you’re doing out there & I still think about it even though I’m now 69 years-old! lol!! Of course I’ve always loved to cook, bake, sew, quilt, caring for my kids & any kids, etc. & I still do! I’ve kidded my mom & told her I’m going to out to homestead somewhere & she just laughs at me but you never know! Anything is possible! You take care, best of luck with all your new cows & the dairy & keep little life for us both! Give Tuip a great big hug for me❣️❣️ 🥰 🐂🐓🐄🐓
It’s satisfying just watching you milk the cows. I can only imagine how much more satisfying and rewarding it is actually doing it. I switched to raw cows milk a couple years ago and so glad I did. My family and I love it and I love making cheese and Kefir! ❤
I have a family Milk com here in Brazil ... and it's like a task that you have to do every day... sometimes I'm not excited to do that but I have to... I love the animals.. I love the cows and I'm learning English and I took this video to learn a little about this activity in English... fantastic. I really appreciate!
Ms. Tulip is obliging to be milked. I experienced once milking a cow.💖 I could see you are enjoying the farm. You truly are a hardworking Ballerina Mom! ❤❤❤

Thank you for the precise milking lesson and your background stories. You gave me a lot of confidence earlier this year when I began to help my neighbour milk her beautiful jersey. Nothing better than her raw milk, butter, cream, as well as yogurt and kefir.
I absolutely love watching ya'll so passionately live out life on your farm! Everything that ya'll do is honestly future goals for me personally, especially owning a family milk cow for (hopefully and prayerfully) my own family in the future. Thank you for continuing to share, Hannah! I love learning from ya'll!
So strange to me how the Idea of drinking warm milk from a cow seems so foreign, but I am somehow totally ok with the commercial process which couldn't be further from nature.
Super! 🙏❤️💋 After the udder has been washed and dried, it is lubricated with a light natural cream with added vitamins to keep the udder soft. And it’s better to tie the tail to your leg so that the garbage doesn’t fall out and the cow doesn’t hit you with its tail. And the first streams of milk when you milk the cow are not allowed into the bucket 🙂 good luck, wonderful people!
I loved seeing you milk, it brought back such great memories. I grew up on a farm and would go out with my dad to milk when I was little. We had barn cats and they would line up and the first milk out of the teets that you put on the ground, my dad would spray the cats and they would open their mouths to get the milk. So fun!

Good morning, Ballerina Farm! Thanks to you for sharing the milking process today. I really enjoyed watching the whole video. You helped me bring back memories of spending time with my grandparents and their milk cow that I had tucked away for way too long. Much of the process was the same except I remember my grandmother immediately putting the milk through a “processor” to separate it. Man, I was such a city kid then and thought butter was yucky. What I wouldn’t do now to go back to those times. Blessings to you and your family. ❤️
