    I've just done a 4600klms road trip to Tasmania, on my gorgeous new Monster 937! I rode some of the best twisty roads in Australia 🇦🇺. This bike is so light in the corners, beautiful to ride on roads like the 99 bends in Tasmania. I bought this bike sight unseen and not test ridden, best decision ever!!! ❤🖤

      Wow you don’t mess around, that’s some trip, yeah the Monster is such a good bike, so light , so good round the twisty roads, always enjoy riding it and I’m glad you are enjoying it.. was worth the wait in the end .. slightly jealous, sounds like you had an awesome trip 😎😊

    As a owner of the V2 panigale and having tested the monster 950, the v2 is smoother more linear with way more topend power. The monster has more low down torque, way more fun on tight twisties. The v2 is more fun on open B roads and on track👍🏻

    • @ProjectMoto
      @ProjectMoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah the V2 has definitely got a smother engine, but yeah the Monster is great round the twistiest , the SF V2 is a bit different to the Panigale v2 in that I noticed different size sprockets on it so it’s not so geared for top end but that’s kinda normal for a SF .. I think there both great bikes and will just come down to peoples budget and personal preference :)

    I looked at both the Monster and the SF V2 and ended up getting the monster. For me it's the more comfortable bike, light and nimble, it's fun to throw around on twisty roads where the low down torque is better. The monster already has plenty power for public roads. I figured the SF is more orientated towards those who ride on the track as well, I also wasn't a fan of it having no fuel gauge.

    • @ProjectMoto
      @ProjectMoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Awesome, Yeah I actually ride the Monster more then any bike , just always makes me smile and always enjoy it , so good for a blast down the twisty roads, and tbh even jf I had £15k the more I ride it I would probably have a monster with the Termignoni exhaust and few extras rather then the V2.. maybe if I done track days on my road bike as well I would have a V2.. tough choice , I always say to people to ride both and make the decision, the monster is more then enough for the road anyway

    Had my heart set on a sfv2. Took it out a run and loved it. Took the monster out straight after and bought the monster. So much more fun on the road as can proper rag it. Like you say takes everything thrown at it. Found the sf a bit too serious for the road. Ended up doing like you say termi race exhaust and a few other bits n bobs. Yeah the Monster is such a great fun road bike, I was out on one the other day with a full system , just makes it even better and the sound on the down shift is awesome, tbh I’d probably do the same with accessories on the Standard monster over the SP, unless of course you can afford the system and the SP, but I like the way the standard monster handles any way

    I am riding the Monster Plus now. Love the bike! But i was given 5 days to ride the V2 after sending in my Monster for 1k servicing. After 5 days on the SFV2... I was stoked! I fell in love with the SFV2. It just feels so much smoother and 'faster' somehow. Also the heat on the monster is terrible! I feel no heat from the SFV2. Monster is indeed so much more comfy! But I thought its too comfy!! hahaha.

    Excellent comparison. I think they are great bikes, $4k savings on the 848!!! I've never owned/ridden any version of the Monster. I think it's pure signature Ducati. But, the SuperSport 950S - I think you sit in it, more like the Monster. Same $$'s, slightly more power, small 4.7" TFT, could be a collector bike?

    I have a monster sp and I would like to change to this street fighter V2 but the only thing that stops me is the low torque at low rpm because many say that this street fighter has little torque at low rpm. I had a Panigale V2 so in theory it's an engine I know well
    and always in theory they have shortened the ratios on this street fighter...is there really such a lack of torque at low revs?

    • @allangrse617
      @allangrse617 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well, its the super quattro engine but with 2 extra teeth on the rear sprocket, like You said, so its not super torquey at low rpms, but it pulls fine from 4.000rpm, and when You hit 6.500rpm it feels faster than the monster. I dont miss more torque tbh, but in the end its up to You to decide that 😊

      Sorry I did reply to this before but it obviously didn’t update for some reason, like the other guy who replied said but yeah I would say at 4,000 revs if you pulled the throttle on both bikes the monster might have the edge, if not there’s not much in it but as the revs go up a bit more the streetfighter would pull, not much in it though on twisty roads for me

    Thank you so much for posting this. I am currently riding a BMW F850GS, but itching to get a bike specifically to cruise around the roads here in Arizona. I've only been riding for a couple years, and while most agree the monster is more forgiving with all the electronics it has built in (like wheelie control), I'm just plain drawn to the Streetfighter. I just think it's better looking.
    Do you see any discernable difference when it comes to a rider who is not new, but not experienced either? Is it smarter to grab the monster and upgrade later (if you can even call it an upgrade?)

    How does the monster 1200 compare to the street fighter v2?

    • @ProjectMoto
      @ProjectMoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like the 1200r’s , they are such cool bikes, alway enjoy riding them, these are similar bhp and weight but just different bikes to ride with the riding position, power delivery, gearing, handling etc..remember these are nearly 250cc less but a different engine and a modern design with the frame etc..tbh I like the Streetfighter stance you have and feel when your on the bike, the Monster 1200 has a good torqy engine, and to me a more of a ‘relaxed’ feel and comfort compared to the Streetfighter, the best thing to do is get a test ride on one and see what you think, everyone rides and uses bikes different, even roads they ride on , I think as long as you find a bike your comfortable on and you like then that’s all you need

  • @adamlee9071
