I studied Vivaldi in school and upon researching him I was shocked at how he was just forgotten to die after what he has done. Vivaldi composed the four seasons at an all girls orphanage he worked at and he would play it for them and teach them. he was a devoted priest but unfortunately his health got the best of him. he was nicknamed the red priest growing up and also among the people who knew him. he eventually became broke and entered poverty and his life ended with him literally dying on the streets of Vienna, forgotten. he didn't even have a proper burial for somebody who has made such ingenious music, he had a very simple burial that was paid by the public hospital fund. he composed such beautiful and timeless music yet his life ended in such tragedy. he may have been forgotten at the end of his life here, but he will forever live on with his music.
Thanks for sharing his story :) It's truly a shame that people didn't give any recognition to such a pure talent
@@maryoop7920 he went to Vienna as a last resort to try and make a living from his music again. It worked for a little bit as the emperor would host Vivaldi but after the emperor died Vivaldi had trouble making a living and died in poverty around a year later. He died of an internal infection. The music taste had changed and Vivaldi and many others were struggling as a part of this. He also had severe asthma and couldn't even recite the mass because his chest would tighten up. It's very sad but I can imagine his smile knowing millions of people are listening to his music now
@@maryoop7920 and you're right, it was a shame. He sold of a lot of his manuscripts as well to try and afford moving to Vienna so much of his music is lost as a result of that! I'm happy to enlighten people of his life
Honestly though, in a spiritual sense he lived the perfect life. Blessing the world with his music, serving God and humanity all the way, and dying not with earthly riches but instead as a pauper who has abandoned all the vanities of mortality.

...
